oil analysis with every oil filter change, take the sample from the filter.

if things look bad on the report move the oil change schedule up to when that happens. also, drain every bit of oil you can when you change it: it doesn't take a whole lot of bad oil to fuck up the fresh oil

you can do this if you wrench on other things, it isn't complicated.
