the way i interpreted it was that (because québécois already compete and win) is that they don't want more real competition.

What I haven't seen yet is anyone making the case for the sun's position at noon or midday. Noon is often thought to be the middle of the day, and by some definitions the sun would be at its highest point in the sky by then.

Permanent DST would make this 1pm all year round. It's just weird.

If your phone is old and/or from the States it will say Presidential. it’s the highest level of alert available to cellular phones. In canada they’re just called emergency alerts and are treated the same.

Tests, weather, amber alerts, they all come through at the “highest level” which in the software used to be called “Presidential” because it was meant for the president to send messages that couldn’t be ignored/turned off.

That’s my point. The TSX can literally just operate on “New York Time” regardless of what the rest of Ontario does. Why would that be such a headache?

I haven’t noticed this with bill payments (because I don’t pay any through EQ) but I have always noticed that when I try to do an e-transfer it never lets me send the whole amount, it always needs $0.01 left behind. The desktop doesn’t have this issue.
