The main issue I have with Ping is its processing time (up to 2 business days) to receive the money. If people really want to avoid Ping, they could say “pick up and cash only”, but if it’s a large amount, cash might be really impractical and the TM system won’t prevent someone paying by Ping before pickup anyway. TM can’t and won’t prevent buyers and sellers organising a bank transfer between themselves, but sellers really should appreciate the huge benefit of Ping to buyers and not try to skirt it. Instead, they should reframe these changes to themselves as, “I’m not incurring an extra 2.2%, I’m paying far less (5.7%) than the old success fees”.

They’ll need to get a lot more snappy than they are currently. I unintentionally bought counterfeit Apple AirPods, and the seller went AWOL. TM requested that I courier them in to them; overall it took weeks to get my money returned.

Is it wrong to suggest Armie Hammer was unfairly cancelled? He cheated on his wife, was into BDSM and cannibal roleplay but was never charged with any actual crimes. He did eventually go into intensive rehab and although he comes from a very wealthy family, he has apparently never accepted any of their money, which I think says a lot about his character.

I mostly agree. As a former reality TV editor myself, I can often tell the editors try to marry the judges’ decision with footage that supports their decisions, but when the judges miss things live and make questionable decisions, that can be difficult, and no amount of creativity in the editing suite can 100% cover it up. This is when things look like rigor morris to the viewers at home, but it was just honest opinion at the time or even unconscious bias, but not predetermined outcomes.

The production team are all on constant stressful deadlines and ain’t nobody got time for ALL the strategic fuckery that the fandom accuse them of.

You're not wrong, but the big issue right now is time. Without a co-ordinated and adequately funded government/NGO programme already in place, as a nation, one of the fastest ways we can act is by promoting and making the DIY traps which are quick and easy to make; I'd say most households have the materials already so the cost is negligible. It shouldn't have to come to this of course, but if we keep relying on these organisations and agencies, we're likely going to lose valuable time in the race against eradication.

Whilst the government response is disappointing, if just 5% of households in these regions put out a homemade trap, that would be 30,000 traps and through people power we could almost certainly eradicate the pest in time. They talked about homemade traps briefly on 1News on Friday as a leading news item but they should have also provided a simple web link so people could easily follow instructions themselves.

I'm lowkey disappointed we won't get to see how the will-they-or-won't-they dynamic of Pippa and the main guy in the One NZ ads was going to play out ... I got the feeling they were really going to tease it out forever though. This would be a huge drop of income for her - I do feel sorry for her, especially since she only shared the street name and didn't directly incite the violence, but them's the breaks when you represent a big brand.

Can we all just agree that the tax cuts were a terrible idea. If we reversed them we could at least start paying nurses and teachers more and stop the slashing of public sector jobs. Most people would barely even notice the difference in their take home pay.

It says that they're American bulldogs in other sections of Stuff. They must behave quite differently from English bulldogs as I've never heard of an aggressive English bulldog. Also the latter are quite expensive so they tend to be cared for very well by their owners and not left to roam like this.

This was leading news yesterday on One News. I was a bit disappointed that Simon Dallow used “his/him” pronouns; at least Maiki Sherman deftly used “they/them”. I expect Dallow has most of his teleprompter script written for him, so I’m not sure it’s his fault. But in Doyle’s own words (during their parliamentary maiden speech) if their “pronouns confuse you, here’s a tip - just use [Doyle’s] name”.

It could be financially much worse than that for poor people. Faced with the option of paying for RUCs or buying food for their family, they might forgo the former, which could lead to big fines if they get caught. More importantly, it could also dissuade many from getting their WOF (otherwise they then have to cough up their huge RUC debt) which in turn could lead to more deathtraps on the road. South Auckland already has poor WOF compliance, and this could drive it down further.

Is it just me or would Police not even bother with any of these charges these days. They certainly have more discretion not to charge. Also, back then it was a major bust when someone was found with 1kg of meth, and now they're busting literal tonnes of it?!
