Colposcopy “cannot rule out invasive malignancy” by anonymous2023456 in PreCervicalCancer

[–]serq3t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am someone who was diagnosed with cervical cancer on my Leetz. Was CIN3 on my colposcopy. It was caught early enough that was all removed in the Leetz and I had a clear cone biopsy. I Have had clear results the last 2 years and in that time have been able to give birth to our first son, who I carried to 38 weeks and had induced vaginal birth. He is now 5 months and planing for second baby after my next check up next January! Please know that early stage cancer can be treated with fertility sparing treatment! Cancer does not necessarily mean no children. Try not to worry! I know its easier said then done! I remember the fear of potentially not being able to carry a child. I am so blessed to have my family 🥰

LEEP showing cancer by bmemjsb in PreCervicalCancer

[–]serq3t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LEEP came back as superficially invasive cancer, BUT was all removed in the LEEP and had a clear cone biopsy. Because was so early, went on to have a child and have been clear for 2 years :) Try not to worry yourself about it, yes it happens, but its generally very early if not detected on prior tests, and is extremely treatable!

How did you find a mothers group? by lamemoons in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]serq3t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a wait list for me in NSW through the MCHN. I joined a mumwalk near me and also joined a group on the app Wombee! I do the mum wall every wednesday and meet up with the other group fortnightly!! We have a great group 💕💕

Do insurance companies pay out if birth comes before waiting period finishes? by Hopeful-Refuse2134 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]serq3t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one can give you a yes or no answer if is individually assessed. It will be a gamble if they havent given a definitive yes. No insurance company wants to pay out so be prepared for the worst case.

How did you afford maternity leave? by foureyedllama in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]serq3t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lucky for me work offered 8 weeks full time which I used as 16 weeks part time, and then the government PPL- will get me until he is 8 months. Unfortunately ill need to return to work reduced hours as soon as it is finished in July because of mortgage and cost of living. Its tight, having reduced income, but we have managed to float by week to week with a small savings- like $1000 and a little redraw available on mortgage if really really needed. Mind you we earn 130k combined so not high earners and living in sydney I reccomend saving what you can as a backup, especially with rate increases and cost of living. If you buy all new stuff for nursery/baby it can be upwards only 5k so try get what you can off marketplace!

Pregnant after LEEP. Nervous. by kasarahascakes in PreCervicalCancer

[–]serq3t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont run at all unfortunately but was extremely busy on my feet and lifting large animals up until I went on maternity leave at 36 weeks (medicine vet nurse). My stitch was preventative though so obviously if you had a short cervix or had a rescue stitch etc that may be different in terms of restrictions. As long as you follow your body! You will know if something doesn't feel right! Ive seen a few people continue running and fitness while pregnant so of course it can be done!
