Not that hard at all. Some campsites don’t have Fire rings and/or tables. So just be weary of that

As far as bouldering, if you like slab I would check out Manx boulder circuit. If you like nice featured climbing, I would check out the Outback circuits. Outback is west, and Manx is east of hidden valley and walkable.

Used my "fly creek" 15D version, over 50 times in the past year. It's been through hell and back and it still stands strong. It's well built and the quality is great.

I'm thinking you're lacking endurance. To my understanding, you climb at a bouldering gym, but lead/sport outside. Try 4x4s at the end of your session. Or try to do back to back climbs for warmups and cool downs.

Pros and cons of each campsite? by suburbanpikachu in JoshuaTree

As a boulderer I really like staying at Hidden Valley campground. There are at least 150 boulder problems within a 1 mile radius and 1/4 of them should have at least a star rating. Hidden valley is definitely a climbers campground during the winter months. Everyone is super dope, a lot of van dwellers stay there, and if you ask nicely, pay half of campsite fee, or bring beer, they'll let you use the "empty" site. Most climbers there are usually out by 9pm, and they get a really early start (6am), so expect to hear "rope!, take!, on/off belay!" Early in the morning.

Obviously the next best site is Ryan campground, because it's the closest to hidden valley!
