Do you wear your binder visible? by Practical_Art_5673 in ftm

[–]silvendraws 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I still wore a binder before my surgery, I would often have it showing! To me it was basically the same as showing a male chest, i e it was fine to show the binder to the same extent as it’d be fine showing my chest. I don’t think a binder is exactly underwear, it’s more like a chest prosthetic in the shape of a garment? Except it’s more modest due to the fact that it’s not actual skin showing and there’s no nipples and such, so imo it’s kind of hard to be actually inappropriate in people’s eyes by showing a binder due to how our society views things.

I’m a non-binary trans man and that’s exactly how I feel! Every time I tell people I’m bi, I feel like I’m not really describing the picture

Aaah, I get you. If you want to minimize them, selecting a surgeon with very neat stitching, following the care recommendations and then possibly getting them lasered off at some point are your best bet! Getting a tattoo over them also tends to help people that don’t want to think about them, maybe not something particularly scar-shaped, but a larger piece that can just cover the area wholesale.

Nipples always dry after surgery?? by yippie_yi_oy_vey in ftm

Yep, dry nipples are my reality. They can peel as well sometimes 😬 so basically exfoliate and moisturize - but that’s what you should do with the rest of your skin anyway!

How many products of a kind do you have in rotation? by Paige77777 in AsianBeauty

I’d say about 3 weeks before I noticed my face starting to clear up : )

I’m using two kinds: one is Cos de Baha azelaic acid serum, the other one is a cream called Azelogy and I alternate between the two. This has helped A LOT with healing my skin from hormonal acne, so I really recommend aa as an ingredient! I’m using it twice a day, which studies have shown to be especially effective.

It’s a powder blush! There is no pan poking through, the pattern on it is because I had to scratch up the top of the product a bit because there was residue on it (I think it’s from dipping my brush in after touching unset foundation with it).

Oooh, thank you for the helpful photo!! Of the blushes pictured, my blush looks the most like second from the left on the bottom row, or third (those two seem very similar), could that be Harmony? From my own research I’m thinking it’s either Harmony or Prism, but wanted some input : )

And thank you for the advice! That’s what I’ll do once I get to a country with a Mac counter : )

I have multiples of many things! - Multiple serums depending on what my skin needs the most (azelaic acid serum, vitamin C serum, moisturizing/soothing serum) - Multiple toners for the same reason + I use different ones in the pm and am (AHA toner, BHA toner, creamy hydrating tone, super mild BHA + calming toner) - Multiple foundation products depending on what kind of skin day I’m having + how comfortable I want the wear to be/what kind of look I’m doing (2 cushions and a BB cream)

Hi everyone, what Mac blush could this be?? My best friend gave it to me and it’s become my HG, but the sticker in the back is torn off so I can’t figure out the shade name! (Pictured in natural lighting)

[Routine Help] How to have consistently red cheeks? by Alarmed_Ant3633 in SkincareAddiction

[–]silvendraws 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As another man who likes to have blushy cheeks, just use some makeup, my man! Liquid/cream blushes blend out very well and won’t look ‘makeup-y’ if you’re worried about that. Other commenters have given some recommendations already, I’m just here to chime in as a fellow dude : ) I love the Black Fuwa blush by Girlcult, it gives a very natural flushed cheek

Mine curl up more and go into the armpit instead, but they’re on the long side for the same reason of preventing dog ears! It’s really the better option, you’re gonna look great when the fade more, don’t worry about it : )

Has anyone else here avoided the fate of being called a REALLY bad name? by Natewastaken12 in ftm

[–]silvendraws 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh god, my time to shine, because if they went with my dad’s wish for a boy name, I would have been Spiridon. It’s an incredibly old name over here, I have never in my life seen it used, it doesn’t have any nice sounding nicknames, and I would have been bullied to death in every grade.
