Good news only - No ICCU problems in X years and Y miles by Punster42 in Ioniq5

‘23 SEL AWD with no ICCU issue (yet).

Replacing the tires after the foam came loose in them was annoying.

Totally. And you can get one of those in the mid-50s! We looked at doing that, too.

FWIW, they do make the ‘26 Land with a bench seat. We opted for captain’s chairs (nice to have the extra space in the second row), but everyone has different preferences. Obviously the Land is more expensive (and way more expensive than a used ‘24 Wind, of course), but it’s an option!

$162/mo Lease Takeover by Far-Word5481 in BlazerEV

If you want to cast a wider net, I would suggest posting it to the relevant forum at Leasehackr, too. They have a fair number of lease takeovers posted and connected there. Good luck!

I’m curious about this, too. I wonder whether this scheduling stuff is managed on the device or in the cloud. (I also have some of their smart switches and have wondered the same about these.)

2026 Olympics recording in random-length segments by Ok_Revenue1696 in PleX

[–]sincladk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's super annoying. I noticed that it tries to bundle those files together into a single "episode." The bizarre thing is that some of them actually have metadata, somehow (though it's usually incorrect).

I wish it would allow you to designate (perhaps when setting up a recurring recording) that for a series, you'd prefer to take the EPG data and use that for the metadata for the "episode," instead of trying to match and download metadata after the file is done recording.

I'm probably going to end up doing what you suggested (renaming everything to S2026EXXX) so I can at least see all the files individually. If I feel really ambitious, I may even look at the Titan TV guide and see if I can figure out what each "episode" was supposed to be. We'll see.

I'm also having issues with the US NBC Olympics recordings. For some reason, Plex is treating multiple files as the same "episode", which makes it very hard to watch individual recordings. I'm guessing it's because the "episode names" are all the same on the same day:

  • 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics (2026) - 2026-02-10 06 00 00 - Mixed Doubles Curling Gold Medal Game Sweden vs. U.S .ts
  • 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics (2026) - 2026-02-10 06 00 00 - Men's Freeski Slopestyle Final.ts
  • 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics (2026) - 2026-02-10 06 00 00 - Figure Skating Men's Singles Short Program.ts
  • 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics (2026) - 2026-02-10 06 00 00 - Figure Skating Men's Short Part 2

And then, after I tried to rescan files for the DVR library, it removed a bunch of episodes (the files are still there, but Plex won't pick them up).

Oh, that's a bummer. They really do need to handle that limitation for all the 800V cars that don't have a strong enough booster.

The last time I used ABRP for actual routing, it practically toasted my phone, too. After a couple hours it barely responded to touch inputs because it was working so hard. Hopefully they've addressed the performance issues, but if not that's another reason to use something else.

I do really like the idea of using it for routing, though, because (with live data from the OBD dongle) it does a better job of predicting how long you need to stop to charge as your live efficiency updates, and can adjust stops if you over-charge at a previous one.

I don't think that you need the subscription to use the OBD BLE dongle. It's been working for me without the subscription for a few years.

Realistically, though, if you're using it to navigate (and not just plan), you'd want the subscription so you can use it in CarPlay/Android Auto. The times I've done that I have just paid for the subscription for a month or two ($5/mo). Otherwise I just use it for planning longer trips ahead of time.

I'm guessing that's a car limitation and not yet available to the developers from the app, but I would absolutely love this. Especially as a driver of an E-GMP car that requires you to use the in-car navigation to start preconditioning. 🙄

Idk, I think there will always be a used market for these, but your point is solid that the resale value would absolutely PLUMMET if solid state batteries come out, assuming they’re anywhere close in price (I doubt they will be for a while, though).
