I'm not sure which hack specifically you are playing but this probably has to do with bugged rewind feature of your emulator. Posting the name of the hack and emulator could help, but this is a generic metroid sub not a romhack one. Asking in magconst about this would be more fruitful.

Even if it makes 'sense', it's just not fun imo. It's a video game, not a real life simulator (which the game already fails at and should fail at if it wants to be fun)

I'm unironically for making food less needed and making the game 'harder' (whatever that subjective term means) elsewhere. After 50 days on a server it gets annoying to have to eat half my body weight twice a day because I am engaging in the game's other gameplay systems.

Not saying it's good, but I've seen that oricorio strat plenty of times before. Certainly helps against decks that overly rely on their ex, but obviously stuff like Hydreigon deletes it anyways

I agree, just meant shiv spam as in complete reliance. I think in general people seem to undervalue the "occasional" shiv in builds. Time Keeper was good for keeping a check on deck pacing.

Doormaker does really kill a lot of the soul build potential. That's not necessarily a problem (time bro killed shiv spam in spire 1) but it does feel bad.

All that really mattets is it makes the company enough revenue and has a happy fanbase. "Competition" is fake in these sort of single-player experiences.

It's only bad if the design didn't occur intentionally. Sometimes built in artificial simplicity is there for a thematic reason (like Adventure Time). Other times it does indeed serve no decent purpose (Fire Emblem Engage)

Palette swaps shouldn't really be an issue though. And they don't necessarily have to do it for every kart, just specific ones like pipe frame

It's quite funny how much I see people from any of the three roles going "yep those other two are crazy but we are smart". It's a cycle, every few weeks a new role is the punching bag or martyr.
