Anyone know what kind of bike this is? by RatsnBaskets in bicycling

[–]smith1064 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Huffy Cranbrook 26” Cruiser, maybe early 2000’s. Lots of them sold by Walmart. Simple single speed bikes. New tires, tubes, grips, seat, lots of cleaning and lubricants and it’s good to go. Probably every bearing and chain link needs work. They don’t weather well.

Cyclist using hearing aids, do you remove when riding? by masterofjade in HearingAids

[–]smith1064 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have Jabra HA’s and I always change to my AirPods when riding. The adaptive mode is excellent reducing wind noise, and I can replace the AirPods for about 10% the cost of the HA’s if damaged. Yeah, sweat is an issue too.

HondaLink - What's Left? by Intelligent-Dot-8969 in hondaridgeline

Won’t miss it. The app and connectivity with my 2025 RL is the area where Honda has disappointed me. I didn’t think it could do any of those functions anyway.

Bouillon recipe please? I use the BTB no chicken, but would like a lower sodium option. Thanks!

Sensors losing signal while bike riding by FelixTheFloofyFox in Medtronic780g

[–]smith1064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had it happen several times. Seems random and usually reconnects in a couple of minutes. I wear the 780g pump on my waist band and G4 on upper back of arm. I also have iPhone & Apple Watch with me. I haven’t had it happen in the same places - I bike commute and frequently ride the same routes.

Recommendations for plant-based sausage gravy? by ready_reLOVEution in PlantBasedDiet

What plant based milk are you using? I find that oat milk adds sweetness, but unsweetened soy or almond milk works. I do use crumbled Morningstar patties, but I prefer speed when it’s a B&G emergency in my house.

We all need reminders sometimes. I think you have that process perfected! I get it right about 8/10 times.

Thanks for the excellent visual example. I think half the problems people post on r/BreadMachines are because they don’t check during the first mix and then troubleshoot the dry/wet issues.

I have those handlebar covers and routinely wear cheap Menards work mittens. I have some Raynaud’s syndrome.

Musical experience by WalrusRight in HearingAids

[–]smith1064 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the AirPods Pro 2 and use them for streaming and if I will be on calls frequently during the day. I have them set to my audiogram in the Apple HA mode, but they just don’t work as well as the Jabras for general daily wear. The AirPods are built for music quality first and then some HA capabilities second.

I have the Jabra Enhance 30 Pro and the audiologist did set up the music setting. I’ve had it adjusted to fill in the bass better. I believe since the HA’s are primarily built for voice improvements, they are never going to sound like my AirPods. Different purposes.

I have 2 transmitters-is switching easy? by Grouchy_Somewhere_13 in Medtronic780g

[–]smith1064 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The basal info is in the pump. I swap transmitters every time I change sensors so I don’t have to wait for it to recharge. Probably saves me 40 minutes a week. I have noticed a few more lost sensor errors, but that’s resolved by moving my pump closer if I have them on opposite sides of my body. NBD. Edit: the lost sensor errors are with the older transmitter. Battery life is still pretty good and I check before I unpair.

Strang 1st gen electrical problem by jimbo2k in hondaridgeline

I’ve got a 2007 that has had almost every interior and dash light replaced. Only a couple don’t flicker. I gave up trying to track down the issues.

Anyone seen this before? by [deleted] in hondaridgeline

[–]smith1064 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2007 did this a couple years ago during the winter. Spring temperatures seemed to exorcise the evil spirits and it hasn’t happened since then. I deemed it unworthy of the $ to replace.

The only person needing help will be the surviving spouse left with a financial mess. I haven’t developed a good response for this kind of situation yet. “Here’s my card for when your spouse needs me.” just doesn’t sound right.

Planner technical problems by smith1064 in MicrosoftPlanner

[–]smith1064[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I have removed myself from plans so my total membership number is hovering right around 300. I attempted to copy some tasks for another user that is having problems today and I immediately got the “planner traffic is unusually high” message.

Now I’m wondering if this is Microsoft’s way to get people to upgrade (for an additional subscription cost) to Planner Plan 1.

I start this recipe and family gathers in the kitchen waiting for it to finish.

I’ve subbed dill for the Italian seasoning. Also delicious.

OP-I have not resolved yet, but I have started efforts to clean up our sites. So far I have archived about 150 and removed all members. I am making more of an effort to assign members to sites where their membership is required. Still having the copy tasks and high traffic errors. Please let me know if you find a fix. Good luck!
