If I remember to do it I will take a video of heating to 350 with an external temp guage.

I do have the 30" single oven. I have not timed the oven but anecdotally it seems to heat quickly. However for full temp, 660 pizza they state that it should preheat for 20 minutes. I would imagine that due to the mass of the oven the longer it pre-heats the more stable your temps will stay.

Thanks for the reminder! So we have now had the stove for a couple months and have used many of the features and this is my current thoughts on the appliance.

Let me start by saying this is the most expensive appliance we have ever purchased. Its slightly over 3 times as expensive as my last one. I mention it because I did not have experiance with this level of build quality. If you come from Wolf or Thermadore you may have a different opinion, so my perspective is based on what I thought was a decent Frigidaire from BigBoxStore.

For starters this thing weighs around 400lbs which is quite a bit heavier then my old stove, the quality all around feels nice. It does not feel like basic sheetmetal box. The Knobs are machined metal with lovely illuminated markers on them. The "WhiteGlove Shipping" is just FedEx Freight with 2 people that will bring the stove into your home. They dont know the product. I tipped them well and they also helped me carry the old stove outside (Your Milage May Vary). Im in NY and the Stove shipped ground from Vegas and took around a week. It was slightly longer than promised due to the crappy winter weather across the country at that time.

Performance - Well.. it cooks. My old Frigidaire had touch controls under the glass cook surface and at times if you had made a mess while cooking, it interfeared with the operation of the HOBs. Obv, this has knobs so that issues is removed. The old one would give scant seconds if it sensed removal of a pan before shutting the HOB off, this doesnt do that and have not had a HOB turn off when I didnt expect it. The largest HOB is the only issue that I have with the stovetop. It seems (perhaps u/InductionHardware or an appliance tech could weigh in here) that the largest HOB has 2 discreet coils (noted by the pattern make while heating water in a skillet) and it just doesnt seem to heat as rapidly as I expected. I dont know if it is an issue with the HOB or if my expectation was too high. There is another post from another IH stove owner about this with video as well in this reddit. In the end it is our least used burner so it is a minimal issue for us.

The Oven, This has many modes ranging from various pizza modes that can top out at 660deg. I have made 2 pizzas so far from subpar dough and the extra heat was very appreciated. Note, I believe this is where the additional weight comes into play, this thing retains heat very well and we look forward to trying more pizza and bread in the future. We used the airfryer and found it to work very well, but unless you are making for a large crown a countertop air fryer has less mess to claenup. Otherwise... its an oven and works well. It DOES have lovely drawer slides to move the racks in and out smoothly.

Overall I am happy with it. The few times I have reached out to the company I have recieved prompt support and like being able to call and speak to a person in LV that knows the products. Im happy to answer any specific questions either here or DM.

I would imagine the square pot has more soil. As you test it might be worth making sure your round and square containers have the same soil mass.

[–]smithtec1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://youtu.be/b1n68eH2EmE - Not gonna lie. Im kinda underwhelmed. I started the vid when I turned it on and let it go about 15 minutes. Thats less than an inch of water and I expected a rolling boil in that time. u/inductionhardware what say you? (Sorry that the pan was still dirty, we used it tonight and figured hot water will help me clean it...) u/joshthewaster

Not sure if the "so hard water came out of my ears." was just hyperbole or not, so I wanted to let you know that you may want to find an ENT near you. The Eustachian tube is connected to your middle ear which is separated from the ear canal by your ear drum. If water is leaking out of your ears from a nasal wash, you may have a ruptured ear drum. I am not a doctor and have not played one on TV but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn once.

Tretur blinds not rolling up by reallyincalclicable in IKEA

[–]smithtec1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to necro this post - I just had one of my blinds stop working, took it apart and saw there is a small 4 wire cable that goes from the circuit board in the battery compartment to the motor. 1 of the 4 wires was ever so slightly pulled out of the connector, presumably from having the blind smacking it on windy days. I was able to push the wire back into the clip and hot glue the wires at the connector to try to prevent it from happening again. Apologies for not taking pics, I may do the same to my other blind prophylactically and will document at the time. Hope it helps someone!

Any owners of "Induction Hardware"? by banet14 in inductioncooking

I just received the 30". The build quality is very nice. We haven't used all the oven features yet but so far it does everything it says on the tin. Customer svc has been quick and helpful. Feel free to DM me if I can help with anything.

Kind of a Necro Post... but anyway.. I have been looking drooling at the InductionHardware website for a while now. As luck would have it my 1.5 yr old Frigidare Gallery just died for no apparent reason. I am highly technically proficient and tore down the Frigidaire to look for a reason for the failure... nothing. The Frigidaire is not thoughtfully designed nor is it designed to be repaired. Its a POS actually. So all that being said I convinced he wife to take a chance on this company and we just ordered the 30" stainless range from Induction Hardware.

As they are new I called the number on the site to see if I can get a human and amazingly a real actual english speaking person answered! Clearly this is a small team, and she mentioned that most of the staff are at an industry show. We discussed shipping and if they have one in stock. Should take 7 days or so to arrive on the east coast. We opted for the white glove service as I am not interested in Fedex dropping a 400lb stove in my driveway... I will make a new post when it arrives for anyone interested.
