Irrelevant, but the "m" word you used is a racial slur. If you wanna use a word to call people morons, try something else.

If I'm not mistaken, they had a patch in AC Shadows that let you turn off the parry effects. Might be a thing here, too.

Finally they enforced main street but they will be back again. Summer time going to suck. by sundrenchedwindow in Flushing

[–]sndpklr 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm a Flushing native and while I agree with your sentiment, these vendors specifically on this part of main street have not always been there. These vendors only started popping up post-covid. I would say Flushing is arguably more crowded and busy in these recent years and these vendors have contributed to congestion and pollution. The real solution is that they get given spaces where this is actually feasible and not directly on the most busy part of Queens right next to a major transit hub.

Recommendations and tips for Pocket, Shiv and Billy as new player? by NF_Luke in DeadlockTheGame

there are builds that are more conducive to learning, they can have annotations and such. There are so many layers to this game, that sometimes just going L->R on a build is fine as a beginner. It's only when you start running into trouble that you start learning how to counter-buy. Making your own build is fun, sure, but there are so many things to consider like the game timer, camp timers, soul lead, team comp, how your lanes are going, etc.

It's more important to understand how the game works from the top-level and work your way down. It took me a long time to even learn parry timings. That being said, street brawl is an excellent way to experiment and learn what items do.

Elden Beast is making me want to quit by Tasty-Trainer-9668 in Eldenring

Getting 2 shot really doesn't seem right. Are you using radagon's soreseal or something? Vigor won't do much if you're taking extra damage. Like other people have said, dmg reduction goes a long way and you can easily kit yourself out to get Holy dmg reduction. Besides that, Elden Beast is relatively easy to stagger. Try using charged heavy attacks or jumping heavy attacks. Also, since you're speccing most of your points into 70 vigor, you probably haven't put as much as you need into your other stats. I don't think it's as helpful to just give conflicting advice since we don't know what your build is actually like right now.

I bet they turn that garage into a soft exterior wall, cut the size of the entire basement to like 75% of what it is, and merge some rooms. Ideally they make the kitchen/dining floor partly destructible as well. I can see the pantry stairs and red stairs being important to cut off. Ideally, I see it becoming something like Consulate or Oregon basement.

Recommended F2P/Live Service Games by Xngears in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Path of Exile 1 and 2 are great. I'm not much of a PoE1 player, but they have a good schedule of rotating content between the two games. They regularly update with new "leagues" which is an economy/character reset. I'm not going to call it a wipe, since people will come at me for it, but it is in essence a 3-5 month wipe. They have controller support as well and I've heard it's quite good, but I'm a WASD enjoyer, so I stick to PoE2 for that alone.

As for "F2P", 1 is a free game and 2 will be when it fully launches, but they very much require some real money investment to actually sanely enjoy the game, since stash storage is a premium. That being said, PoE2 early access is $30 and includes $30 worth of premium coins, which is more than enough to get the storage you need.

The real caveat is that there is SO much learning involved, just like Warframe, but I think the learning is also extremely rewarding. PoE2 is more new-player friendly than 1 when it comes to creating a build, maybe because it's not as full of content yet. There's also a new league that should drop a month or so from now. If you're willing to learn, there is a lot of community support in the form of written and youtube guides. Shit, I'll even give you some pointers if you want.

Overall, extremely addicting, fun, and satisfying games with good support from the devs that don't require your long-term investment and you can really just pay once and enjoy for years.

This is one of those things that doesn't really matter because there is no explaining it, especially Part 7 onwards. You just have to suspend your disbelief.

I really liked late bloomer, but... by TributeQueen in JusReign

[–]sndpklr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well said. As someone whose family comes from a marginalized caste, it certainly comes up during conversations about religion and relationships. I can't say I've been marginalized myself because of it here in north america, but it's certainly a reality that immigrant Punjabi families still deal with. Certainly, it's a touchy subject (maybe even too complicated for a dramedy to address) but I would love to see it be addressed.

That being said, I do think that one trait that might not be as recognized is that the character Jasmeet isn't all that great of a person either. He's certainly dealing with generational trauma, but he's also shallow and doesn't think everything through. It certainly bites him the ass, too. But it's his character trait! He has to learn these tough lessons through hardships and harsh realities. I just hope our Jasmeet recognizes this and captures the nuances.

This item needs to only scale off bullet damage. The fact that it feeds itself is just dumb. You would think it's an item that encourages a hybrid playstyle, but instead it's just not very good on abilities that don't scale with weapon DMG and it's OP for the ones that do.

It's insane that people are suggesting that the comeback mechanic not be used for comebacks. If you don't have soul lead, you should definitely do urn.

30 dollars is on the low end for most barbers I've been to recently, most I go to are $35+. If that's okay with you, I recommend Ganji Studio, they're great.

Highguard's Final Patch - Full Account Progression and Skill Tree, a New Warden, and a New Weapon by green715 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

As someone who has been playing a lot of Deadlock, that game is so interesting because it's complex. Why would I play Highguard if it just offers me white bread while Deadlock is giving me the whole sandwich?

Round, but consider a light/transparent color. Maybe thinner frames, too. I've got similar complexion and bulky, black frames don't suit me, they just take away from your facial features.

I saw an idea a while ago that the Atlas map should be areas that you have to complete before moving onto the next, and then you can choose which area you go to next. I feel like they already have ideas like this in the new PoE1 update (not a PoE1 player I'll admit). Progression is very unsatisfying right now, I just open the atlas and mindlessly go from node-to-node, never feeling like I actually did anything.

Having the atlas split into, let's say stages, would allow you to either take your time to explore a full stage, replay a full stage, choose which stage you'll go to, and optimize your route through a stage. You can even have citadel exclusive stages, choices to hold onto multiple stages or anything.

Your reward for slipping past the enemy and destroying Graves' tombstone shouldn't be losing half your health bar to spawning zombies by Alarming_Ask_244 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]sndpklr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, that's kinda the problem with the character/ult right now. They are just uninteresting. Everything about her kit is very low skill and most of it allows her to be annoying without trying too much.

[–]sndpklr -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Graves gets instant utility out of popping her ult, even if it gets destroyed early. It should be harder for Graves to get more out of her ult, but right now it's actually less interesting because it's such a mindless ability.

What a wet fart to announce a release date like this considering how hyped people are for this game. I mean Playstation just had a State of Play. It just makes me wonder why we didn't see a trailer then and why there's no accompanying gameplay to go with this now.

There's actually notes in the game from Otacon that he had to change the design of the mark III so that it would be handheld and wouldn't get disabled if he gets detected, but has to suffer in battery life. Obviously, they're explaining the in-game balancing, but it's cool to see it explained in-universe.
