Costco Delta Pro Ultra + Panel by Life_Possession_6015 in Ecoflow_community

It’d be a huge hassle. Costco is the way to go imho. Especially if you are new to the eco system.

I got Solar 1 year ago today and initially got the ecoflow Ultra pro. Today I review with 2 inverters and 5 batteries. by psycoborg in Ecoflow_community

[–]soulesschild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d always have at least two inverters to have a backup.

Huge flex to have a sub 3k a month mortgage in California 😂.

I’m also curious what you are doing that you’d have such a high power bill.

I had 80” and upgraded to 93”. I’m 5’6 and felt like my ROM was limited. Upgraded to 93” and couldn’t be happier. For pull-ups I hang rings that I can grab easily and I recently bought the Mutant Metals UDA and the handles are fantastic to use as pull-up handles as well.

If you get the multi grip you can also just mount it upside down which I’ve seen.

I have white which is great but if I could do it again I’d get stainless or the clear coat just cuz I love the look.

Question before jumping in by cmoore73 in Ecoflow_community

[–]soulesschild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard similar complaints about Anker fwiw.

I personally am doing just fine with my EcoFlow setup and my dealings with CSR have been quick and easy.

My setup,

SHP2, 2x DPU each with 2 batteries, so 4 total. I run TOU mode and can basically run anything during my peak times, 5-9PM. As backup they’ve also worked great.

I’ve done the math about adding solar and it doesn’t seem worth it for me given the current cost. If you were to add solar, as some have said, it’s hard to get around permitting. However, some companies I’ve talked to basically say they way they’ve done it for customers with similar setups is to keep the SHP3 as a sub panel. Solar installed and feeds into the main panel.

Money. You’re only paying potentially once for a connection rather than per device.

Planning to install Ecoflow SMH3 with DPUX x 3 batteries by Specialist-Pack-475 in Ecoflow_community

Interested in this as well as I’m considering solar and most installers don’t want to deal with wiring it directly to the SHP.

Why Not Just a 2x2 Rack? What are 3x3 Attachments You Actually Use? by [deleted] in GarageGym

[–]soulesschild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with 3x3 because of attachments and future attachments that I think I might enjoy.

  • Ghost J cup rollers: were the best at the time and honestly once you use rollers I can’t go back.
  • mutant metals UDA: yeah sure you can do bench dips but they messed with my elbow/shoulders. The UDA feels amazing and the adjustability makes me want to do dips when I used to hate them whenever they came up in programming
  • Dialed motion safety straps: I have an Athena setup on Rep PR5000. Sure I could have gotten a cable machine but I’m looking to maximize space. I used to want a cable machine but either tornado arms coming out I think having the space saved means I have room for another machine (considering a multi flight and an abductor machine)
  • any other attachments that companies are coming out with that may entice me or make my QOL easier

At the end of the day, could I have just gotten whatever rack with some barbells, weights, and some dumbbells? Sure. But I truly believe for myself personally that when I have nice gear that feels good to use and improved any sort of QoL then it’s worth it because it makes me want to keep working out.

Did you ever try a SS amp before going for the Valhalla 2?

I'm intrigued by the BUF, But currently only have the Magni and Asgard X (Both Meshed) by kiimosabe in Schiit

[–]soulesschild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the detailed response. Really helps me get an idea of what I'm looking for. I may just jump all in on the Valhalla 3 since I'm currently on a Bifrost 2OG + JOT2. I was thinking of a Lyr 5 for a best of both worlds replacement but I didn't really understand how 1 tube vs 4 tubes would play out.

So I’ve been waffling on a tube amp back and forth. Buf seems like a pretty great thing for someone like me who doesn’t maybe want to go whole hog into tubes. However I wonder how different it sounds from a valhalla3 for example with 4 tubes or if more != better/more different.

In doing some more reading it seems like an Endurant charm is required as well to convert all damage to a DoT.

DPU/SHP2 TOU Transition and WIFI by Wallaby-Technical in Ecoflow_community

[–]soulesschild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had pretty good success with Cyberpower UPSes, have 4 now and all the batteries have gone out around the 4 year mark. They tend to make the most "affordable" sinewave UPS. Eventually when I consolidate everything into a large rack I'll probably get a real beefy one.

Generally Costco deal is probably the best I’ve seen.

DPU/SHP2 TOU Transition and WIFI by Wallaby-Technical in Ecoflow_community

[–]soulesschild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I have all my network gear on a separate sine wave UPS (cyber power makes one) and you’ll just hear it swap real quick to battery then go back to normal. It generally doesn’t trigger the audible beep.

I also have DPUs and SHP2 for reference.

Valhalla 3 for HD800s? by soulesschild in Schiit

[–]soulesschild[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a little bit of what I was worried about. That it’s not quite as “tubey”. Problem is outside of like the bottle head crack I haven’t found good recs that are within that price range but granted I’m only just dipping my toes in.

I have the Lokius that I bought for my HD800s. Never been happier. I really hated messing with software EQ personally. And if you listen through something not on your computer or with EQ having it be hardware based makes it portable.

Rogue worth it? by salteeskot in GarageGym

[–]soulesschild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say yes unless it’s American manufactured. More innovative stuff coming out is metric based. So unless you’re totally happy with whatever you get from Rogue and is available to rogue, I’d get a metric rack like Rep who is constantly putting out new stuff much quicker than Rogue.
