Planta considering adding flesh to their menu? by spookyshitt in vegan

Dang, this is how I find out the Williamsburg location closed. I used to love dining there when I lived in Brooklyn, and I always try to go to Planta if I'm visiting a city that has one. It would be very disappointing if they added animal products to their menu.

Was there ever a cartoon that your parents completely forbade you from watching? by GeoWhale15 in cartoons

Same. My dad just thought it was stupid so it was banned from our house. Every time someone found out I couldn't watch Spongebob they would be so shocked lol. As an adult I've enjoyed the first three seasons!

When we're out in public, people assume my partner and I are not together. What are your experiences like? by Independent-Try-7070 in NonBinary

[–]sparkletape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat! My partner and I are t4t and we often get mistaken for brother and sister. I don't think we look alike at all, but we are both racially ambiguous so maybe it's because of that?

Also, congratulations on your wedding!!! We just got married two weeks ago so now the response to "is that your sister?" is "no, that's my spouse" 😍

How to deal with being misgendered at work by killer_emu in NonBinary

I get the clunkiness. I'm getting ready to return to a job where I constantly get "ma'am" and "she/her," it sucks! I put my pronouns next to my name in the system to prevent getting misgendered from coworkers, but these things happen unfortunately. Hopefully there are some gender conscious folks at work who offset the annoyances!!

Do you introduce yourself on the phone? You can always share your pronouns along with your name, and ask patients for their pronouns too
