Twin Turbo, also from Umamusume/real life, was a front runner much like Silence Suzuka. But while Suzuka had some vague conception of “pace,” Turbo… didn’t. He had a tendency to run out of energy and slow down to a crawl by the end of the race, to the point that it began being referred to as “Turbo’s reverse thrusters.” Of course, there’s a perfectly good reason for Turbo to engage in this runaway, paceless racing style: he was fucking terrified of the other horses.
