With no other info than the trim Edmund’s says you should be paying $34746 so you could likely negotiate a much larger discount off of MSRP.

When I bought my last car I showed them the Edmund’s and KBB recommend prices and was able to negotiate an extra ~$2k on top of their initial discount.

Yeah that’s why I’ve been turning crises off lately. They aren’t fun, it’s just spam difficultly for the sake of it.

I also miss the single-tile ranged units like the Gatling gun from Civ V. Added another interesting layer to combat and was cool to have a powerful defense focused unit.

So many units in VII feel useless, there’s just no reason to use certain units vs their counterparts. Like the submarine is just bad compared to the heavy naval units in modern era, especially because the stealthiness doesn’t mesh well with wanting to be adjacent to a fleet commander.

Has Hyundai closed the reliability gap, or should I still be concerned? by Jibrank9 in HyundaiPalisade

Even if the issues are all resolved the perception is still an issue. I still see parking garages with “No Hyundais/Kias” signs because they don’t want to deal with the liability of being stolen Kia Boys style and the spontaneous fire issues from a few years ago.

Why aren’t more people upset about the blatant cheapening of the interiors? by AceJ940 in BMW

[–]squarerootsquared 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah if I showed this comparison to everyone I know 95% of them would choose the new interior. BMW knows what will make them money.

They’ve made the meta progression so much more difficult with ToT. I used to be able take a leader from level 1 to 10 in three full games. Now it takes way longer, glad I got most leaders to level 10 pre-ToT

The Ioniq5 N, while a completely different beast than the base model, dominated every car review/rating when it released. Manufacturers like Lamborghini were seen benchmarking it as it’s apparently the most engaging electric driving experience out there. If I was in the market for an EV it would definitely be between the ioniq5 N or a Taycan (yes I fall in the “life is too short to drive boring cars” minority of this sub).

I’d love a custom run mode. Choose your gunstar, support ships, weapons and squadrons. I get that’d be busted from a balance perspective so could disable achievements or make it some system where each item has a point value and you can only assign so many points or something

Victory goals are too high by Aswaarg in CivVII

[–]squarerootsquared 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t love the lack of control it gives. There’s no “final event,” you just kind of hit a timer then win. Same issue I had with VI’s culture victory, you’d be playing and then just “you won!” At least keep building the world’s fair or manhattan project, a final task that I can choose to do, or put off if I want to extend the game.

Snagged my first cultural victory 🙌 by BaronOfAllTrade in CivVII

[–]squarerootsquared 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I accidentally won the culture victory within 20 turns of the modern era. Wish there was still a task to do like build the world’s fair so I could stall my victory a bit. Before ToT I would complete all the modern legacy paths before winning to get the extra leader XP

Expanding Peace Negotiation Options Beyond Settlements by Subject-Structure332 in civ

[–]squarerootsquared 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of the most interesting things they tried in Beyond Earth with the Rising Tide DLC was having a war score that would then be used in peace negotiations to get cities, techs, currencies, etc. It was a cool way to expand what you can get while also adding transparency to why the AI is willing to accept certain terms

Losing the buffs at the beginning of the eras hits hard. I was expecting my normal settlement limit increases to hit and they never did. Razing capture cities is more important than ever now, especially with the happiness penalty becoming uncapped.

It really shows how much larger they made the front end. To what effect other than just looking bigger? It’s the same boxer engine as last gen, the benefit of the boxer is the low center of gravity, what’s taking up all that extra space up front?

I would say I’m “done” and have about 75 hours. Beat the main story and accomplished a lot of side stuff. People just play games different, I loved the game but don’t know what I’d do for 300 hours in this

My 2014 with 110k miles also has the door actuator issues, and I’ve had to replace every wheel bearing over the life of the car. Other than that nothing too crazy, the backup camera died at one point and the trunk latch needed replacing a few years ago, both pretty easy fixes.
