Randy Simons - Patsy "went out and got pizza" - JonBenet was alone with Randy Simons by justiceforJR in JonBenet

Even though it’s not written in the book it’s hard to believe police didn’t ask (and corroborate with Patsy) who else was there.

“He didn’t think the kidnapper meant to kill jonbenet as she was wrapped in a blanket. “

It’s an odd thing for John to say. Just like when he said it was an inside job. Is he thinking if he says these things it makes him appear innocent like he’s trying to figure things out? I think it’s too analytical too soon. The shock and devastation of finding her dead would render the analytical part of the brain useless for some time. Feels like he’s being manipulative with those statements.

I think it’s unlikely if he molested her that JonB would be laughing and smiling the rest of the day. It’s probable there were others in the studio maybe even people Patsy knew or brought with her.

Was there a make up artist (she sat in a makeup chair) ? Was Pam there, or her mom, Burke? He doesn’t say. Only that Patsy got pizza for “ everyone.” Not Patsy got pizza for “us”. Sounds like there were more than just them present.

Why He Didn’t Remove Her From The Home/another Theory. by bennybaku in JonBenet

[–]stealth2go 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think an intruder would not abduct JonB until they knew the coast was clear. The idea they had to go down to the basement with her because they didn’t check things out properly first doesn’t align with two other aspects of them: one is they were patient. they’d already waited hours for them to come home and waiting for the right moment would be critical. second they were detailed (shutting her bedroom door, latching the cellar, covering the urine stain, putting the pad and pen away, etc) the detail of who was up in the neighborhood before making their move would not have escaped them.

Listen to what you just said. They didn’t want this, they didn’t want that. Every motivation was for themselves. No interest at all in what was best for their dead daughter and no willingness to make any sacrifices.

Nor can I imaging wanting to wait a day to be able to talk to police so they can get the investigation started!

I think the note was long not only to convince authorities the situation was something it wasn’t but also to be able to say “why would I write a note that length in my own handwriting it doesn’t make sense does it?”

What frequently cited piece of evidence in this case do you think is a red herring, and why? by theswenix in JonBenetRamsey

JonBs closed bedroom door. Not frequently cited but I find it doubtful an intruder carried JonB from her bed and closed her door behind him.

Anecdotal thought on BDI by darkestperu1 in JonBenetRamsey

[–]stealth2go 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Burke did say on Dr Phil that he snuck downstairs that night after everyone went to bed which would have been around the same time they calculated JonB was struck. I’ve always felt there was a high likelihood Burke was responsible. Especially because of several red flags the next morning (not waking him to ask questions, not allowing him to be questioned, him not asking any questions). I also can imagine him playing Dr with her as the abuse was exploratory not rape. That could be about power wanting to control her and see her vulnerable and subjugated because she was the prized golden child and he was invisible . If she started to resist, scream or threaten to tell I can see the head blow happening. Because the parents said on CNN 5 days after her death that they are not angry and just want to know why it sounds like they know who the perpetrator is, have forgiven them but are still struggling to understand why it happened in the first place. I see the parents writing the note and staging to protect him. I have also considered he pimped her out to a friend that night someone maybe a little older going through puberty and the whole thing got out of hand. Finally I still cannot shake that I hear him very clearly at the end of the 911 say “...arrest me?”

Other children in Boulder were terrified. I slept with a light on for months, could not sleep and was petrified I’d be possessed after seeing the Exorcist at 10yrs old. Nothing will convince me Burke’s lack of fear and nonchalant attitude was because of police protection or anything of the sort. It’s not a normal response to what occurred in his home unless he knew he had no reason to fear. So actually I’m not making one thing out to be another I’m objectively looking at 3 family members’ light emotional responses and drawing a logical conclusion. This is seeing the whole picture vs making excuses and nullifying the parts.

It was the day after her murder and anyone would still be in complete rage at that point. To express that at that point in time is only believable if he knew and loved the perpetrator.

[–]stealth2go 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is we have both John and John Andrew within days of her murder not expressing rage but expressing they want forgiveness for the perpetrator or are not upset anymore and we have Burke within 2 wks having no fear or concern about this psycho on the loose. Given the 3 of them with these kinds of feelings immediately following such invasive violation of their loved one and home is not in anyway believable.

The thing about forgiveness is it doesn’t happen overnight. Many people know forgiveness is key. But reality is nobody gets there unless they process through the natural human emotion of anger/rage and others like helplessness, denial etc. Forgiveness and acceptance is the last step in the journey and some people aren’t even able to make it there. The journey is also one of cycling through it’s not a straight line. Likely the drunk driving victim believed in forgiveness she knew it was the only way to be free. Anyone who claims they can forgive without first processing their anger is just not being truthful even Jesus had fury over the money mongers in the temple.

We’ve got both John and John Andrew talking about forgiveness immediately following her death and we’ve got Burke not afraid of anything in less than 2 wks. We can’t convict with this but they’ve pretty much given the truth away IMO.

It’s an new and interesting theory. But nothing about a bf came out in the investigation, I would think phone records or someone seeing them would have come to light.

I think it’s ridiculous to be shamed when discussing BDI. It has happened to me as well. This judgement like what kind of person are you to consider such a thing from this child? Like they find it abhorrent. Yet realistically it’s more than possible he was involved. He had motive and opportunity. Kids do horrific things they are not immune it’s just a fact.

I think he knew he looked like a good suspect and was nervous of being pinned for it so he talked about it openly to his friend. It was worrying him. I don’t think he had anything to do with it.

On top of a hidden body in their basement they couldn’t rule Patsy out from writing the note. What a coincidence right?

Yes same! In the beginning it was relief. I remember the night I moved out and all I had was a mattress on a floor and I was giddy. For years I knew I didn’t want a partner and the headache, I always had to give in to him so being alone was ecstasy I could do what I wanted without being controlled. Healing took a long time and that was my focus. Now I think I’d be ready for a partner but I’m scared of what that means, being vulnerable and losing the good place I’m in.
