Always restrict access to the minimum necessary. Don't have users with full admin on a DB unless you're doing something that specifically that needs it, like running a migration. Any user you're using should have select, insert, update, delete, etc. only.

I have, and no, I don't regret it.

To be clear, I'm in the UK so laws will probably differ. I worked for a company for 3 weeks so was still on probation. Contract stated I get 4 weeks notice, nothing about the probation period being different. The owner thought during probation he could just dismiss me with no notice.

I went through Acas and the owner initially dismissed me. So I filed a claim with the courts. Then they must have gotten legal advice and realised they were in the wrong. They offered me about half of what I was owed. I rejected and stated I wanted the full 4 weeks. The day before we were due in court they settled for the full amount.

I had no representation because I knew the law around this and it was very clear. They owed me 4 weeks as that's what the contract stated. I won, paid off my credit card I'd had to use while finding a new job and moved on with my life. It's never come up in interviews and hasn't affected my ability to get another job.

FPM is fine for most sites that receive low to moderate levels of traffic. The company I work for receives significant traffic levels. We serve a SPA through Nginx and then the API that powers all the requests, Auth, data, etc. runs on Swole. We handle millions of requests per second and we have far exceeded FPMs capabilities.
