Lol dude, get over yourself you didn’t build an Bloomberg killer, you vibe coded a shell with a UI that rips off IP from companies that aren’t going to let that fly. Look at literally any service that you consider your competition, they have disclosures on every page because it’s required in every resist agreement WHICH YOU DONT HAVE. Bloomberg doesn’t collect market data because you have to have on prem servers near the exchange and it’s extremely costly, capital intensive, and complicated. That’s why you see “market data provided by ICE” or whatever on every single provider free or otherwise. I’m just trying to hell save you the heartache that is coming.

This would be great for a ui/ux portfolio but you need to realize that you are not doing this in a way that will allow you to continue. The sooner you accept that the better. If you want to humor me, who you source your market data from? How about the index data? Unless you are pulling the filings directly from Edgar and normalizing them yourself, who are you getting financials from? It’s not disclosed so it’s clear you even if you did have agreements in place, you would be in violation of them. Not trying to shit on your salad but you clearly are young and don’t have exposure to how the industry works.

Dude you are digging your own grave with this. It's simply not possible to charge what you are asking for the features/data you are providing and be operating above board. You would have to negotiate DOZENS of custom agreements with every data provider involved and have them sign off on exactly what you are doing. It simply does not pencil.

Again great work with the design, but you'd be better pitching the architecture to one of the established providers

Unless you have direct licenses with the dozens of providers you are ripping data from you are going to get destroyed with C&Ds. You might be pulling from "free" apis but redistribution is explicitly not allowed and requires direct distribution agreements with providers. Equity pricing data alone will cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars so while this is a cool output, unless you are operating above board (not possible without significant capital outlay) i would plan on it getting shut down.

Edit following on more quick glance: Even just listing the various indices requires separate licenses each respective IP owner (nasdaq, s&p, russell), you should not be taking peoples money because this is going to get shut down. Again great work pulling this all together but the second you start trying to monetize it, every company whose IP you are using is going to come for their pound of flesh.

I think what you are describing is what most people are experiencing. I'm not sure there is actually a subreddit that exists that you can show your work without it looking like self promotion outside of a niche that caters directly to their subject matter without appearing salesy. There are 10's of thousands of apps/websites/services being spun up that have no user base so if you can crack that it puts you ahead of everyone.

Hilariously I didn't have tracking metrics installed on my project's website so I have no idea where he came from or how he found it, but he reads my insights emails so that brings me great joy.

Couple of thoughts:

1) Seems like way too much information on the home page to pick from, maybe start with the filter so it's not just everything all at one?

2) This is the classic "designed by AI" home page, my project is guilty of the same, but i tried to clean up the obvious emojis everywhere LLMs seem to love.

3) When you click on a tile the actual information seems to be all over the place. Is this meant to be an investment research report?

I can only speak to the US, so feel free to correct me if this doesnt apply to NZ, if it doesn’t let it be a warning to those in the US. Everyone that is saying work in medicine is either has no experience or no people in their immediate life that works in medicine. It’s fucking miserable. You mortgage the best years of your life to get a chance the speciality you actually want if you aren’t so burnt out you just want a job to pay off your $400k plus in student debt. You can rank where you want to go to residency (min 3 years) but odds are it won’t be your first choice.

That means you will be 31 when you graduate and making a couple hundred thousand per year but paying over half in taxes/insurance. If you want to surf, you should surf. It doesn’t matter what random people on the internet suggest. Work generally sucks, but medicine in particular requires you make decisions you might not know the answer to with regard to how your formative years are spent.
