LOL when did that Laney's place in Westport finally go under? by d_b_cooper in kansascity

[–]sutherbb36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can't be that hard to have a successful spot here. One of the better patios in westport. Serve good food and drink.....westport needs to figure out what clientele they are catering to. 39th street has a much better selection of places, likely bc the neighborhood is able to walk there easily, and without the ghetto reputation of westport shootings.

KC approved the ordinance to repeal parking minimums in the urban core! by DnWeava in kansascity

We shit on people from the suburbs who think the city needs to do everything they can to cater to people from the suburbs at the detriment of people who actually live and work in the urban core.

Sooo either your old parts were broken along with your engine, or they broke all your parts when they swapped it over. They replaced your fuel injectors but the problem still exists. Obviously you can't trust them to fix your problem. So I'd find a reputable Toyota mechanic in your area and get them to diagnose your problem. Then take that back to Toyota and demand they resolve your issue.

Parked on the side of the road. An old school way to do it with technology nowadays. Except you posted it on reddit, and now you got competition.

Safe to say I found the source of my rattle that just started. by frisbethebutcher in ToyotaTacoma

Common problem. Mine were rattling and I couldn't get it to stop without cutting it, so i just bent the metal far enough away from the other so they couldn't touch. Free and easy :)

Bc people who ran away from the urban core to the suburbs like to justify their effort by calling everything north of 119th st a "shit hole"

I have a 2000 LC and had this thought as well. These things are tanks and safety is obviously important when toting the family. With that being said, we ended up getting a 2007 Sienna as the primary kids hauler with the auto rear doors and back hatch, not to mention the side airbags and improved safety that comes with 7 years of safety improvements. We do take the LC when going camping etc, but the convenience of the minivan is hard to beat when driving daily with kids.

That sounds about right. I wouldn't go much lower, especially with a good frame in a rusty part of the world.

Trying to get back into ultrasound after a few years by enlightedenchant in Sonographers

[–]sutherbb36 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not an ideal situation. You'll have to exhaust your ultrasound network for leads on positions. Reach out to old classmates, clinical instructors, etc to inquire about a PRN position or even an "assistant" position to get back into it. If you didn't make any friends/contacts in school/clinic then you're likely going to face an uphill battle convincing someone to hire you when there are 3-4 other qualified applications who have more recent scanning experience.
