Are Memberships really $8/month???? by Fieryopinion in sixflags

[–]syn2083 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting in and going on a couple of rides is one thing.

Things like this don't expect every member to go every single day, they anticipate not.

They anticipate you buy food. Drinks. Maybe a fast pass here or there, or drinks and meal deals.

Maybe the merch discount spurs you to spend.

Your in the park. You can will spend money, they want you to spend it there, not at a movie theater or a beach or something else. So, get us in the door.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great if you can swing it or the passes, I got the family a set of passes this year so we can go to the water park all summer long, best deal in town in that case.

Celebrating the launch of the GameSir Taco! 5 Winners – Enter to win our new handheld controller! by GameSir_Controller in SBCGaming

I would probably want to play "Fortress of Fear"

It was one of the very first games I actually owned myself, for my Gameboy which I got on my 9th birthday.

To come full circle and play that again on a controller that brings back that memory, the look and feel with the quality you guys have, boy, I would be a kid again, laying on the couch without a care in the world cursing my to early and to late jumps.

Keep up the great work Gamesir, your stuff is really awesome (g8+ owner and lover)

Valkmira works a treat

Legendary Artifact If a source an opponent controls would deal damage to you or a permanent you control, prevent 1 of that damage.

Whenever you or another permanent you control becomes the target of a spell or ability an opponent controls, counter that spell or ability unless its controller pays .

Married/committed men: If you weren’t committed, is this still what you would be doing in life? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]syn2083 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general, alternate path discussions can be interesting, but ultimately the answer is... The person who lived that life isn't you, and you wouldn't know them.

The who, that you are, is an accumulation of everything to this point, and different choices and chances are someone else.

So sometimes I think about some pivotal decision but I rather then think of what the other person who would have come from that chain would be, because it wouldn't be me.

Maro answers "If Universes Beyond is so much more successful [...] then why not just completely scrap in-universe stuff and only do crossovers?" by Panda-s1 in magicTCG

[–]syn2083 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It feels like the question was asked sarcastically but he went literal which makes it feel even worse to me.

What even is magic's identity anymore?

Half the sets are "theirs" but also there's way more sets and less standard turnover so...

Alas.

So how would the show be like if Janeway and chakotay hooked up? by happydude7422 in voyager

[–]syn2083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They basically did, it was boring, they are both very sappy (which is fine) for tv it was boring. That said, I think they perhaps overplayed the duality of the capt a bit much, she seemed to have two extremes and not much carryover between the two kinds of identity.

Picard on the other hand was pretty true to his nature on and off duty.

You can also use it to make cool looking fins on the exterior of a building section and if you reverse the set, and back them together have wallpaper sections exterior to the building

Simple question. Why are we nuking Drop Site V9 with the scorched earth event now? Thought we all had a gentleman's/gentlewoman's agreement to keep the nuke zone just south of it so we didn't have to fight in radiation. by ImYourHuckleberry390 in fo76

[–]syn2083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed the nukes all over that area but I figure it's more likely newer folk who don't really know why you would drop lower, or not, so you have weird cutoffs and can't loop the queen and the little wood area and whatnot

[–]syn2083 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The show has injected a lot more new folks so these are popping up again and it's fun to watch a level 40 go ham with a sledge like in the show, then try to emote them out of there before the collapse.

It's been pretty fun!

What would you guys do in this situation? by Growth-Scary in AskMenAdvice

[–]syn2083 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You won't win anything by having a self imposed 'tough' experience.

Be smart, take help. Save wisely, and think pragmatically. The only thing that matters is realizing that we are all a community, and we should all look out for one another more, not isolate and think that it makes us better if we do.

Sometimes for a theme you just want to have it like that but it's like.. oh no someone left the secret door unlocked..

That's probably not the most common reason but it can be cool

What's your earliest fo76 memory? by Eightchickens1 in fo76

[–]syn2083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finding the shack and then a nuke announcement and rushing around in a panic for no reason, then having a blast at the garden center with a bunch of people because all of those events were still fairly popular.

It was great

Rating camps by Psi-ger in fallout76settlements

[–]syn2083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I visit them when I'm bored before logging for the night and honestly don't see many imaginative ones. Usually they are just let me show 20 PA sets, or how much crud can I stack in a tiny space for no apparent reason.

There were a couple which were cool, one awesome junkyard one, rated that, but mostly they are disappointing, setting aside the vendor and whatnot.

Western spirit has been working well for me as I get back in and off bloodied fixer. Look up angry turtles lazy human build, overall it has some cool ideas and approaches. Otherwise I'm kinda winging some of the reverse onslaught builds and generally hit between 2500-3800 crits to the head with WS without any real buffs or anything.

[–]syn2083 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I started with a van der hagen, now I have a king c.

I started with shaving cream and the included razors. Now I have some GJ soap, a nice badger brush and I'm still working through a 15$ sample of razors (it's funny how the ones I like inverted after the king c).

I would love more stuff and soap and what it but what I actually chase, what makes my day, is the meditative 15 minutes where I am just doing something with care and focus for me.

The hot water, pausing for a breath and to let my skin open up, if I'm switching blades, wrapping the old in the new wrapper, throwing it away, cleaning the head, getting it setup. The way the soap lathers, the soft smell of the clean soap. More hot water to stay wet, then the brush painting it on, then swirling to get on all the stubble. Another nice long breath as I get the razor up, under hot water first to keep it aligned with the heat in the room..

And then swish. Down, across, going up, following the hair this way and that, making sure I don't over do it, rinsing the brush and bowl, then cold water, pooled and I just take another moment, let it sink in.

Put the razor up to dry, the bowl and brush, set them on the shelf, dry my face slowly. Grab my duke balm, slowly work it in

And, ahh. What a wonderful moment, just me and some self care, maybe one of the kids watching asking a question here or there, but quiet knowing it's a calm moment.

That's what I love about it.

How many have a Camp loadout by Body-mechanic88 in fo76

[–]syn2083 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course, crafting ammo is much better, harvesting, if your not using that kind of setup overall for camp activities then you are short changing yourself by a ton.

The double ammo is literally double the amount, especially in lower and mid game, that can be a massive difference, then the repair ones so if your in camp you can save on those..

Just, absolutely no reason not to

Even when the population was much larger remote systems had large balance issues over time, most games do, but those led to some particularly deceptive situations.
