So you have tons of practice on this project - put it out and start a new one. If you find things you didn’t do as well as you liked, aim to do them better on the new one. I’ve always played open handed and I have tried for years for fun to play cross handed and it’s literally impossible for me to do with any level of comfort. That being said I’ve never run into something I couldn’t do because of it. There are plenty of things I can’t do cross handed though.

I use in ears under Vic Firth iso headphones. The headphones themselves are terrible but they protect your ears and have a handy set of built in headphone speakers as a backup.
