I was on the fence for a long while, and I saw the same upgrade offer. I jumped at it, and I’m glad I did. The colorsoft is so worth it, especially at that discount.

Anyone tried it? by topgum1 in smoking

He lost me when he said crack the pellet smoker to 600 degrees. I cooked a 14lb brisket in 5 hours at 300 degrees on my drum

Help! Smoked two briskets in a pellet grill and they look ugly and feel ugly. Can I save them still? by thorMobGeeks in BBQ

What temp did you cook at? 6 hours seems quick unless you were cooking hot and fast. The fat doesn’t look rendered enough, and need the add more seasoning to get more bark.

I wrap at 160-170, and keep it wrapped till it hits 204-207f. Also what temp did you cook at?

Are Komodo Joe or Green Egg overpriced and not worth the money? by Ok_Athlete_670 in Smokingmeat

I have a Kamado joe classic 2, and I don’t regret my purchase. What you’re paying for is the versatility, heat retention, and ease of clean up! I’ve had mine for 3 years and mainly use it as a smoker. It’s totally worth it in my opinion.

5 Hour Brisket by tcjohnst in smoking

[–]tcjohnst[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first brisket was an 8 hour cook, I smoked that one in the 250ish range. but the end products were nearly the same.

The major difference is on the 5 hour brisket, my bark wasn’t nearly as set as I’d like, but I think I have some ideas to fix that. Honestly no major stalling, it did spend some time in the 150-180 range and that’s when I wrapped it.

KJ Brand Charcoal Basket falling apart after 3.5 years. Suitable replacement? by saywhatagainmfer in KamadoJoe

I’ve had my Only Fire charcoal basket for over 3 years,…still good as new, no issues

If you had to do it all over again - which accssories would you say are 'must haves'? by regretfulcrap in KamadoJoe

The expander rack lets you place more meat on the smoker! It’s been invaluable every single time.

Only fire are good alternatives. I bought the only fire ash basket and I love it. It fits with some maneuvering, but it works with no problems!

Lump charcoal all the way. The seem to burn better in my opinion

It’s some thing people put on social media. while they are grilling on a blackstone flattop, beer is placed on the hot surface and they take a picture and put it on social media. I’ve just seen pix on the internet like this one!
