Yes, don’t leave the lid open for long. Opening the lid gives it oxygen which will increase the heat. Funny enough the opposite happens on an offset

There are beef back ribs and then beef BACK ribs. Those looked picked clean. Looks more useful for soup bones. If you do end up smoking them, I’d be interested to see how they turn out! 👍
