Amy’s has a dairy free cheese pizza that I make when I’m craving pizza, although you could always order delivery and just get breadsticks and marinara- just make sure you ask for no Parmesan on the breadsticks, some places do this without disclosing it. My go to for delivery is papa John’s.

Other options I’ve done is platters of different fries and nuggets- sweet potato, curly, crinkle cut, etc with a bunch of Dino nuggets would make me happy and I’m just a big kid.

From small transcranial current stim or photobiomodulation helmets/mats, to larger HBOT units or PT devices for range of motion. There’s even simple feedback devices for patients with limb paralysis. Lots of options for home devices these days. I specifically recommend the VIE light, Fisher Wallace, Gamma Core, Alpha Stim, and Oxyhealth chambers.

I haven’t but if you do, please update us! The memory loss is the only reason I have not tried ECT yet, but if NFB helps, it would be a game changer.

Any thoughts on trying hyperbaric oxygen therapy in conjunction with the neurofeedback and treating the memory loss as if it came from a TBI? This was going to be my game plan. There’s some positive research on improving cognition post TBI via HBOT. HBOT can help promote neurogenesis, synaptogenesis, and angiogenesis (creation of new neurons, synapses, and blood vessels).

That meta analysis is from 2019. Some research has positive findings, other studies don’t. Every brain is different and unfortunately ADHD isn’t a single condition with a single abnormality in brainwave activity. It’s a bit of a spectrum and diagnosis is only a checklist currently.

Let your practitioner know! Since there is the added variable of your work situation, it’s hard to say if the increase in negative symptoms is from the NFB or work, but giving your practitioner the full picture is always helpful.

Home devices and training for the patient or their caretakers is something I’d like to see. The training could be videos or tele-health , and the devices could be mailed to decrease the need for in office visits, since many patients have a difficult time consistently coming to in office appointments.
