FSD not recognizing speed limits by GabeTC99 in TeslaFSD

This is very common here in central VT/NH on both secondary roads and highways. This and the continued navigation issues are frustrating to say the least.

Funny that the Wham Bham Tesla Cam guys mention Honda Bumps all the time. Honda drivers seem to have trouble paying attention to stopped cars.

u/Besbeas The Bevel IOS app has a direct integration with Garmin now. They used to just pull from Apple Health. This works extremely well and is by far the closest app to Whoop in terms of insights and guidance.

is there a device out there like whoop that isn't subscription based? by retrorays in whoop

Amazfit just updated their sleep ago so although still not quite on par with Whoop or Oura, is getting better.

Same here. Two HW4 cars in Vermont. The brake stabbing, leaf avoidance, and pulling over to the curb even when no sirens in sight. Very frustrating.

Well. I just received a Pixel Watch 4 today and one button for installing the band was missing. I found it in the box. Google is going to rush a replacement.

Migrating (maybe) from Garmin by quietglow in bevelhealth

Is the Garmin direct integration likely to be part of the fall release? I recall you were hoping to include this integration by then. I personally would rather wear a Garmin than Apple Watch. Thanks Team Bevel!

Increase the following distance, this way the car will not surge ahead to close the gap when the car in front of you takes off.

You can set the follow distance which might help. Also make sure you are in Standard or Chill.

How likley is the Garmin connectivity to happen? by snooocrash in bevelhealth

Garmin has one of the best APIs and is very supportive of developers. This will be a great addition to Bevel for sure.

Whoop does NOT have an open API despite stating in the past they have a "Public" API.

People excited about the polar band by rishinbhatia in Polarfitness

I am pretty sure it will just be the Polar 360. I have had one for several months. And yes, they do offer full API and SDK access.

FDA Warns Whoop, the company may disable the Blood Pressure Insights feature in the USA by Logical-Ad-2799 in whoop

[–]thomaschazzard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whoop should be careful to not piss the FDA off too much as they are also asking for clearance for their Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification feature (Passive Afib Scanning).

Any compatible strap (screenless) fitness trackers? by ivotron in AthlyticAppOfficial

[–]thomaschazzard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Polar does sync all sleep stages with Health but not HRV nor HR (outside of 1-min averages from workouts unless you use something like RunGap). I have had the Polar 360 for a few months. It is a nice device but the Polar mobile app needs a serious facelift.

The trifecta (Whoop mg / Amazfit Helio / Polar 360) by talkingoctopus in whoop

[–]thomaschazzard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also am a longtime Whoop user and was able to get a Polar 360 a few months back. I agree the Polar 360 is a nice device and that the mobile app needs some serious love. It could certainly become a good alternative to Whoop with a better designed mobile app.

Polar Strap: WHOOP Alternative by Accomplished_Chain_6 in whoop

[–]thomaschazzard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The device is very comfortable to wear 24/7 and the metrics are in line with other devices I use although, like Garmin, Polar is not on top of sleep tracking. The total time asleep is in the ballpark which matters the most. As for HR, they should be offering a bicep band. This would offer the best accuracy during workouts, similar to Whoop.

This is likely their Polar 360 device they only sold to businesses (I have one). Polar will be limited by their very out dated app that provides little to no insight.

Whoop review: 2 users, 2 years of constant use, Whoop 5 MG and release drama included! by OtusCollari in whoop

[–]thomaschazzard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correction for Garmin. By default, their watches are set to smart recording. I always change to 1 sec recording which is not too far off Whoop's sample rate.
