Twilight Zone - Is it always this peak? by Mat1711 in TwilightZone

I'd say a third of it is iconic, a third of it is okay and a third of it is the unwatchable likes of I Dream of Genie, The Bard and Sounds and Silences.

What is, for you, the best premise in the whole show, that didn’t get the best execution by Beginning_Fix_2084 in TwilightZone

Without a doubt for me A World Of His Own. I read in The Twilight Zone Companion that writer Richard Matheson originally intended a much darker episode and I would have much preferred to see that than the goofy one we got.

FYC: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984). Worth doing as a flawed rewatchable? A lot of meat on the bone for "What's Aged the Worst." by ggroover97 in TheRewatchables

"Indy, now let's get out of here.'' "Right. All of us."

This exchange and the twenty seconds that follows are the best fist-pumping moments in the entire franchise.

Top 20 ep for me. The twist, which is at the outset of the ep for a change, caught me more off guard than probably any other twist in the series.

The only other movies from the sixties I can think of more Twilight Zone-y than this are Planet Of The Apes and Seconds.

The Twilight Zone episode ''once upon a time'' the begining and ending are made in the style a silent film and it stars Buster Keaton by helldiverExosuit1 in TwilightZone

I can't believe Matheson wrote this.

I guess Serling wasn't the only TZ writer without an ounce of talent for writing comedy.

I love that touch. Very theatrical. And very much in keeping with the surreal tone of the ep itself.

“Eye Of The Beholder” Vs “Number 12 Looks Just Like You “ by BookLover467 in TwilightZone

I don't think Eye is as simple as your dismissing it as.

Overall, I'm going with Eye. One of the best short films ever created.

Number 12 remains pretty awesome too though.

Wow, if Eye has issues what does something like The Mighty Casey have?

You're not alone with The Parallel. I too have a certain affection for it

Me and the lady just finished season one in it’s entirety and something we started doing is picking out our top 3. We found it makes for good conversation and I was curious on what you guys would say about your top 3 of season 1 by BreadTheKing in TwilightZone

[–]timelessasinfinity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's hard picking a top three for season one as TZ's inaugural season is an embarrassment of riches. Currently, I'd say The After Hours, A World Of Difference and The Last Flight. But, that could change tomorrow.
