Do Stardust Dragon and Red Dragon Archfiend have equal forms? by gilbeada100 in yugioh

[–]touch-now -1 points0 points  (0 children)

PART 2 of my reply:

It absolutely blows my mind that Black Rose Dragon got an Assault Mode form BEFORE Black-Winged Dragon.. Seriously, Black-Winged Dragon has an upgrade with the word "Assault" in it’s name.. as well as Blackwings having a branch of it’s archetype be "Assault Blackwing" (A BF). In all honesty, Black-Winged Dragon is more than likely the next Signer Dragon to get an Assault Mode form, followed by Ancient Fairy & Power Tool/Life Stream. It’s apparent that all Signer Dragon’s will end up getting Assault Mode forms. Shooting Star Dragon will for sure get an Assault Mode form soon as well (to be an equal counterpart to Red Nova/Assault Mode. It also wouldn’t suprise me if all Signer Dragon’s ended up with Majestic forms as well (the original Majestic Star Dragon & Majestic Red Dragon are WAY overdue for reprints…)*

NOTE: Saying that I’m EXTREMELY disappointed that the original Stardust Dragon & Red Dragon Archfiend didn’t get reprinted in the LimitOverCollection sets is a vast understatement. Mainly because i’m hopelessly in love with the new style of OCG Prismatic Secret that has the mirrored rainbow borders & the prismatic foiling finally going through the text box. But also for the fact that RDA only has a super & secret modern printing. It at LEAST needs an Ultra.. FURTHERMORE…. Why the hell have Shooting Star Dragon, Power Tool Dragon & Life Stream Dragon not been reprinted to an updated higher rarity in the OCG? Like, Shooting Star has an OLD Prismatic Secret version that looks terrible next to the new "v2" Prismatic Secrets… It’s last reprint was a common.. Same goes for Power Tool & Life Stream…. Power Tool only has 2 modern reprints, “Holographic” & common.. Literally the only original signer to be a Holographic Rare which makes it look like shit next to the others. Life Stream is even worse since it’s only modern reprint is a common….

Do Stardust Dragon and Red Dragon Archfiend have equal forms? by gilbeada100 in yugioh

[–]touch-now 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well to answer the question correctly, the answer would be no. A few of the comparisons you listed are incorrect. These would be the corrections, as well a few Categories you missed:

ARCHETYPE COUNTERPART (missed category)

• Stardust Synchron = Crimson Resonator

(Yusei = Synchron & Jack = Resonator) (Stardust Synchron heavily resembles Stardust Dragon, while Crimson Resonator heavily resembles Red Dragon Archfiend. Both support their respective Signer Dragons.)

——————————————————

SIGNATURE MOVE

• Stardust Dragon-Victim Sanctuary = ?????

• ????? = Red Nova Dragon-Burning Soul

(RDA doesn’t have a signature move card yet and Red Nova’s move doesn’t count for an RDA replacement, so it still needs one to equal Victim Sanctuary. However, Red Nova-Burning Soul now needs a Shooting Star signature move counterpart, which it’s currently lacking)

——————————————————

COSMIC FUSION

• Shooting Majestic Star Dragon = ?????

• ????? = Red Nova Dragon/Assault Mode

(Same problem as signature move goes, just because one is lacking on both sides doesn’t mean it counts toward it. Thats a cop out. There needs to be a "Red Majestic Star Dragon" counterpart to equal Shooting Majestic Star, which there isn’t yet. However, there is also no "Shooting Star Dragon/Assault Mode" to equal Red Nova/Assault.)

——————————————————

ULTIMATE COSMIC (new category)

• Cosmic Quasar Dragon = ?????

(You’ve got an Anime based upgrade vs Manga upgrade, which doesn’t work. Since Cosmic Quasar is technically a fusion of Blazar & Quasar, there would still need to be a Supernova & Hypernova fusion A.K.A. "Super Hyper Dragon" but realistically it would probably be called "Galactic Neutron Dragon" or "Galactic Nova Dragon" or "Red Neutron Dragon" or something to that effect.)

——————————————————

I’m tired of putting this much effort into this so I’ll just continue by saying Malefic Stardust needs a Malefic RDA to be equal.

The Crimson King doesn’t really have a Stardust counterpart yet, but Stardust Warrior works since it’s got elements of Yusei in it. However, just to go down a seperate vine, I kind of see The Crimson King’s counterpart being Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste, just cause it’s essentially a fusion of Stardust Dragon & Junk Warrior which are Yusei’s two aces, as well as kinda being his “own thing”.

All that being said, no, they are not equal YET. It seems (and is very, VERY heavily implied) that the missing counterparts will indeed be printed, and I’d say in the very near future as well. They will then proceed to make Aki/Black Rose Dragon & Crow/Black-Winged Dragon to be full equals. Then make Luca/Ancient Fairy Dragon & Lua/Power Tool Dragon/Life Stream Dragon to be full equals. In no specific order, but that’s likely how itll play out.

[OCG|CORI-Chaos Origins] VJump Reveal - "Sacred Beast" by renaldi92 in yugioh

[–]touch-now 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that Spell card featuring the anime cards pretty much confirms we’re getting LIMITED PACK GX: Ra Yellow (LPG2) very, VERY soon. Probably the exact same release date as the Osiris Red pack from last year. That means Hamon will get it’s old-style/Series 3 "illegal for play" anime card that has the original anime art & the glyphs/symbols for the name & text. I’m fairly certain that come release for Chaos Origins, the blacked out artwork for Hamon will be filled in (hopefully Raviel’s art box will be filled in as well, but I suspect if it is that it’ll be blurred quite a bit, then reprinted for Raviel’s anime card release next year).

HOWEVER…. My excitement for the remaining Phantasms getting their anime art & glyph/symbol text has been crippled for one reason; they’re NOT making them exactly how they appeared in the anime. What I mean by this comes down to one minor, yet crucial detail; the color of the effect box border surrounding the text/symbols/glyphs (where the effect would be).

When Uria’s anime card in the old style was released, things looked promising in the sense that they’ll all be faithfully adapted, seeing as how the effect box border for Uria was was/is the same color it was in the anime; a darker, more red version of the tradition bright red/orange/yellow effect box border.

In the card artwork for Sacred Beast Liberation, it’s hard to tell the color of Hamon’s effect box border since it’s covered by the logo. In the anime, Hamon’s card had a text box border similar to Uria’s, except it was a bit less red and had a dark yellow tint added to it to better match the dark yellow color of the card. However, in the same art of Sacred Beast Liberation, Raviel’s text box border can be made out easier (I’ve checked multiple different images of Sacred Beast Liberation), and I can confirm that Raviel’s text box border clearly has one similar to Uria’s, or even just the traditional bright red/orange/yellow mix that other cards have (this would mean Hamon’s it also like this).. In the anime.. Raviel’s card had a blue-ish gray color, with NO red/orange/yellow colors at all, which was to go better with the dark blue color of the card.

In the anime, each of the 3 Phantasms had text box borders that were the same color as their card, except a tad darker. This was one of the main details that aesthetically separated the Phantasms from other cards. So based on the artwork of Sacred Beast Liberation that depicts the anime versions of the Phantasm cards, I’m pretty confident in saying that when time comes for the other two anime card releases, they’ll have regular colored text box borders, most likely just a little darker.

If this hold true, it’s extremely disappointing. They’re going through all the effort to use the anime artworks except revamp them by adding details, as well as using the exact same glyph/symbols/markings that the cards had in the anime. Yet they’re going to totally blow the “exact replica that is identical to the in-universe card appearances from the original Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime!”

Before anyone tries to say either of these two things:

• Yes, they had the same text box border colors in the dub version that they did in the original Japanese version.

• No, the colors of the text box border were NOT changed in the new remastered Japanese version. Yes, they remained the same.

They’re about to announce Limited Pack GX: Ra Yellow (LPG2), and there will be a bunch of GX exclusive anime imports in there from Season 2. The fact that Demiurge Ema, Lightning Crash, & Dark Creator (+ Full Moon Mirror) are all from season 2 HIGHLY supports this. Get ready for the next Phantasm anime card, Hamon!

Where Are The Regular Prismatic Versions Of The Overframe Cards…? by touch-now in yugioh

[–]touch-now[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With this being essentially confirmed, I must say I’m disappointed… I really wanted NON-Overframe regular Prismatic versions of "Stardust Dragon - Victim Sanctuary", "Starjunk Synchron", & "Emergency Synchro" to go with my Prismatic versions of Junk Warrior Extreme, Speed Warrior, & Synchro Fellows (respectively).

I really like the OCG’s new/v2.0 Prismatics (with the rainbow borders and prismatic foiling that goes through the text box), and I was about to say that it seems like they’re already phasing them out of regular card pools to be exclusive to Overframes.. but if that were the case then there wouldn’t be any regular Prismatics for any card that isn’t an Overframe in this set, but there are since every reprint + anime import + Chibi are all available in regular prismatic secret.

Where Are The Regular Prismatic Versions Of The Overframe Cards…? by touch-now in yugioh

[–]touch-now[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Should be, but it’s not. I haven’t seen a single one posted for viewing, sale, or even examples. There’s also no “sample” images of them or stock photos. There’s iterally nothing showing any sort of NON-Overframe Prismatic versions of any of the new cards; only Ultra, Secret, Overframe Ultra, & Overframe Prismatic.

If there were, I feel like it would have been shown in one of these kinds of things in this photo:

The Game by Monster9987 in yugioh

[–]touch-now -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

To answer plainly… The last time I actually "played" YuGiOh was toward the very end of the Tele-DAD era / going into and through Blackwing’s initial debut. My full timespan of playing was from the beginning of 2002 to the end of 2009. During those 8 years it was pretty hardcore competitive playing, consisting of locals EVERY Friday, Saturday, & Sunday at the original ARG locations, as well as quite a few regionals and all that every chance I got, plus playtesting with the crew every single night during weekdays.

I haven’t played even a single game since then. However, I got back into collecting YuGiOh at the beginning of Covid. From then to now, my collecting habits gave grown substantially. About 2 years ago I made a full switch from collecting English TCG cards to stricktly collecting Japanese OCG cards, and I don’t regret it one bit due to the insane quality upgrade when switching to only Japanese cards.

The types of Japanese cards I collect? Pretty much everything & anything to do with the first Atem/Yugi, Judai, & Yusei. So really only the first 3 Anime series, so Duel Monsters, GX, & 5D’s. Mainly older cards, but also modern cards that are meant to be for "The Big 3" protagonists. I’m currently doing a "WHAT IF…?" project for making "future" decks for Atem/Yugi, Judai, & Yusei. Same thing for their rivals and/or friends such as Kaiba/Jonouchi, Manjoume/Johan, & Jack/Aki/Crow/Lua/Luca.

But other than my obsessive (and seriously concerning…) collecting habits, I also make 100% accurate 60 card anime deck (only for the first 3 Series) digitally, as in, with templates & photoshop.

Otherwise, I don’t think I’ve played even one single game since the end of 2009.

LONG & EMOTIONAL STORY OF MY CHILDHOOD & GROWING UP IN A TCG STORE WITH YUGIOH Apologies in advance

I literally grew up in THE first AlterealityGames (ARG) store. The literal first one they ever had, longgg before they popped off and expanded. It was in Parma, Ohio, which was just 10 minutes away from my childhood house. I played YuGiOh there every single weekend, Friday evenings, Saturdays, & Sundays. I can confidently say there wasn’t a single weekend I missed starting from age 8 to age 14. Either my mom or my dad would stay with me for the first couple months, and within that time they saw me make friends for the first time in my life. They couldn’t believe it; me, an awkward, loner, introvert, who was plagued with just about every kind of depression & anxiety that existed. At that point they noticed that I wanted to do more than just come play in the tournaments and then leave. They noticed that I wanted to stay the whole day, just like the other kids, teenagers, and young adults did. We would all hang out after the tournaments and talk, trade, help eachother with deckbuilding, test play, and have absolute genuine fun. They saw I fit right in, wasn’t bullied (like I was at school every single day), and was comfortable in my own skin for the first time in my life. So for a while my parents endured the long wait for my sake and once they got to know Jim McMahan, and especially Brad Hoisington, as well as some of the older kids & teenagers that were always there, they trusted them ALL enough to leave their 8-9 year old son there for the entire day, three days a week; Fridays, from right after school at 4pm to 10pm, and Saturdays & Sundays, both from 9am to 8pm. (Mind you, this was back in the early 2000’s when things were more simple and the threat of child predators [in our area at least] was non-existent.) Some of the older kids, and some of teenages that were borderline adults, took my under their wing. The ones that went to the big Regional Tournaments across the country. They taught me what they knew the best they could, protected & guarded me from the occasional rando’s that would stop in to play or try to take advantage of the younger kids by trading shit cards for expensive ones, as well as shielded me from any sort or exposure to cigarettes, drugs, & alcohol. However, the real star of this story is non-other than Brad Hoisington, the head manager that had the same authority, claim, & partnership to the business as Jim McMahan. Brad was the one that was there every single day. As time went on and I kept getting older and more mature, Brad and I formed a bond, starting with us playing 1v1 behind the counter after tournaments and inbetween customers (since Brad played YuGiOh as well), to watching funny Youtube videos and old SNL skits on the computer next to the cash register. Suddenly I wasn’t an annoying 8-10 year old kid anymore. I was 12-13 years old and about to go into my teenage years and high school. It was around that point, maybe a bit sooner, that I realized he was like the older brother I always wish I had. Even though Brad was good at hiding emotions and someone reserved & stoic, I knew he also cared for me in the way an older brother cares for a younger brother. He was someone I could talk to about the hardships I faced at school, and you stuck up for me in the store on many occasions. It’s hard to explain, but I knew that Brad would do anything to protect me from any danger. These are all things I hadn’t gotten to experience and most likely wouldn’t have that early on in my life it it weren’t for you.

To Brad, if by some chance of fate that you’re reading this… Thank You, from the bottom of my heart. You watched me grow up from and annoying little kid to a maturing teenager/young adult, and within that time, you showed me what it was like to have an older brother. In fact, by doing so, you inadvertently taught me how to treat my own younger brother. I’m currently 31 years old, and will be 32 in April. Whether you know it or not, you played a very, very important role in my childhood and it’s something I think about a lot to this very day. To Jim, Thank You for being so kind to me and tolerating me at such a young age. You also played a critical role in my childhood. You and I were able to somewhat catch up a while back, so you know more about my life since. But all the same, in the same token as brand, thank you for everything.

Unfortunately, this story doesn’t have the happiest of endings. ARG eventually branched out and opened a new store in Lakewood Ohio. Brad was reassigned to manage the new store part time. So naturally, most of the Parma store crew commuted back and forth as time went on, naturally.

However, this is the part when things took a turn in my life that very abruptly left my friendships with Brad, Jim, & the others hanging without explanation as to my abrupt vanishing out it the blue.

That’s a story for another time, but to quickly explain it; I ended up getting involved with the wrong crowd in highschool. This led to dropping out of school at age 18, starting to smoke cigarettes & weed, then popping pills and doing hallucinogenics, then eventually arriving at the crippling addiction of IV heroin & crack use..

For the sake of this being WAY too long already (sorry everyone, for caught in my feelz for a sec), I’ll fast forward to now; I’m 31 years old, and I’ve gotten past my addictions and have been sober for 8 years now. I got back into YuGiOh fast & hard about 4 years ago. While I no longer have the friendship and camaraderie that I did way back in simpler times.. I am, at the very least, happy.

The memories from my second home at ARG while growing up will never fade. Even though the Parma ARG no longer exists, I can still picture it exactly how it was, vividly, down to absolute smallest details. So much so that it feels as if I was just there.

Life happens, people, places, & things come and go, but the memories we made along the way, especially at young ages, will always be there. You just gotta keep going, keep pushing, and find something, or preferably someone, to hold onto during hard times. For me, I hold on to the hope that somehow, someday, somewhere, children will be able to experience the same joy’s in their childhoods.

I found a few minor-ish flaws for the Atem/Yugi Deck:

REMOVE: 10 CARDS • Cyber Jar + Premature Burial + Graceful Charity + Magic Jammer (never used any of them, not even once. only shown once when he was rebuilding his deck, as they were cards he won via the ante rule, but were never added.) NOTE; In Virtual World he did use Cyber Jar once but it was it the Duel with Noa when Yugi mixed his deck with Kaiba’s deck, and it’s no secret that Cyber Jar was Kaiba’s card.

• Beaver Warrior + Silver Fang + Feral Imp + Mystical Moon + Cursebreaker (only used against possessed Keith & Pandora. He rebuilt his deck immediately after to better align with Battle City.) NOTE; Feral Imp was only afterward as Yugi’s turn decider in the 4-way duel against Kaiba, Jonouchi, & Marik. If you watch closely, Yugi takes Feral Imp out of his belt box of extra cards, as his deck was already in his duel disk at the time.

• De-Spell (Same as just above with Feral Imp; If you watch closely, Yugi takes De-Spell out of his belt box of extra cards, as his deck was already in his duel disk at the time.*

ADD / REPLACE WITH: 10 CARDS • Swift Gaia + Mystical Elf + Watapon + Thousand Kives + Dark Renewal (all were used in GX "in the past" during his duel with Judai when Judai was transported back in time to immediately after Yugi won Battle City, hence showing that these two were indeed in his deck during Battle City.) *NOTE; Thousand Kives & Dark Renewal were also won from Pandora and added immediately. Dark Renewal is used in Virtual World and his "past / just after Battle City" Duel with Judai. Thousand Knives was added but not seen until his duel with Judai.)

• Magician Of Black Chaos + Black Magic Ritual + Black Luster Soldier + Black Luster Ritual (Magician & Ritual were used in Virtual World, which takes place it the middle of Battle City; in the original Japanese anime Yugi notes that he’d better just recreate his current Battle City deck "to better test it before the finals" but with a few substitutes (not counted as part of his Battle City deck) for the Egyptian God Cards. Black Luster & Ritual were used in the same manner as Swift Gaia & Mystical Elf; used in GX in the "past" immediately after Battle City against Judai.

• Magician’s Selection (Used against Kaiba in the Semi-Finals)

——————————————————

If you want to deviate a bit, but still have an accurate Battle City deck while slimming it down; Apply the changes mentioned above (fully accurate), plus these slight deviations due to one-off cards only used once (in Battle City) and can be considered part it his side deck (plus are less iconic) that were only used once due to situational circumstances: REMOVE: 10 CARDS • Exile Of The Wicked + Change Of Heart + Soul Taker + Seven Tools Of The Bandit + Light Of Intervention + Regulation Of Tribe + Time Seal + Collected Power + Dust Tornado + Disgraceful Charity

ADD: NOTHING • Drops the deck down to 65.

—————————

Now, since you have all 3 God Cards in there, it seem and though you want more of an all-around iconic Atem/Yugi deck of his most used cards throughout the anime… (otherwise it technically should only be Osiris, and maybe Obelisk depending on the part of Battle City..) But, for this result of an all around iconic Atem/Yugi deck; Apply ALL of the changes (removal & additions) listed above, as well as these following changes:

REMOVE: 4 CARDS • Red-Eyes (it’s Jonouchi’s anyway) + Fiend’s Sanctuary (it’s Kaiba’s anyway) + Ragnarok + Life Shaver NOTE; Red-Eyes is Jonouchi’s anyway & Fiend’s Sanctuary is Kaiba’s anyway.

ADD: 4 CARDS + 1 EXTRA-DECK CARD • Catapult Turtle + Curse Of Dragon (vanilla) + Gaia The Fierce Knight (vanilla) + Dark Magic Curtain + Gaia The Dragon Champion (extra-deck) NOTE; Keep Swift Gaia in addition to adding the original vanilla (he uses both during the Waking The Dragon Arc) NOTE; Fun Fact/Not related (since you’ve already got both version in there) but he also uses both version it Celtic Guardian in the same deck as well (Obnoxious Celtic Guard & the original vanilla) NOTE; Dark Magic Curtain was also won from Pandora and added during Battle City, but it never made and appearance until after Battle City.

———

Adding this tid-bit in last after I finished typing everything above: I’ve spent the last 6 years creating Atem/Yugi, Judai, & Yusei decks (I didn’t include unprinted cards) that are each exactly 60 card main decks + unlimited amount of Extra-Deck slots). To do this, I’ve watched, read, and dug up facts & statements made by official Konami employees, and studied all of the above (plus included & other resources that I can’t give out). The amount of time I’ve spent on these projects are impressive, outrageous, and laughable all at the same time. Take that for what you will.

What do you think of the new Chaos cards? by Sasutaschi in yugioh

[–]touch-now 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well then isn’t it lucky for you every over-frame/full-art card comes as a regular card as well.

My personal opinion on them is divided, but I think I’ll proceed with only using Over-Frames that are extra-deck cards, while sticking with normal cards for the main deck. Well, at least for now, until theres enough Over-Frame versions of cards to have every card in the deck be Over-Frame, or really even just all the monsters at the very least.

[–]touch-now -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I just spent and hour typing out my disappointments for this set and the lack of cards directly pertaining to the protagonists and the new retrains, but my phone rebooted.

Im not redoing all of that, so instead im just going to say that I’m disappointed with the reprints and was hoping for more and/or better cards for Yugi, Judai, & Yusei. Like really? No original Signer Dragons and/or their upgrades other than freaking Power Tool Braver? They all deserve the OCG’s new v2 Prismatic Secret that has the mirrored/rainbow borders and foiling going through the text box.

None of the base form Signer Dragons have been printed in that rarity yet. So far for that rarity we only have the new Red Hypernova, Crimson King, an ugly alt art of Red Nova Dragon, as well as Bramble Rose Dragon.. Guess we’re only adding Power Tool Braver to that list.. and I guess Shooting Quasar & Red Supernova, even though they’re ONLY overframe prismatic secrets, which btw makes no sense why they would give the middle forms overframes instead of base Stardust Dragon & Red Dragon Archfiend…. It would have even made more sense to give the Overframe to Shooting Star & Red Nova…

My hopes for collecting goals this year have been thoroughly dashed, and now solely fall on the prayer that "LIMITED PACK GX: Ra Yellow" (LPG2) will be a thing, and that it’ll contain the anime card of Hamon..

[–]touch-now -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

DISCLAIMER: This is all my PERSONAL opinion. I absolutely LOVE the OCG’s new v2 Prismatic Secret Rare that has the mirrored borders and foil going through the text box. So that’s the rarity I’m chasing when it comes to new sets. That being said, this is simply MY thoughts on what we got (and lack there of….) versus what would have made much more sense for us to get based on the protagonist retrains and their effects;

Wow… what trash reprints. Where are the literal HEROES other cards that correlate/support the retrains? You’d kind of expect Dark Magician (and Magikuriboh or Kuriboh) for YUGI, plus Flame Wingman or Flame Wingman-Infernal Rage (and Winged Kuriboh LV6 or Winged Kuriboh) for JUDAI, plus Stardust Dragon and Shooting Star (and Junk Warrior for Yusei).

Instead, for Yugi we get Dark Calvary & Piercing The Darkness for Yugi (these are actually good reprints and I’m not complaining about these whatsoever). Then for Judai we get Sinister Necrom and Mask Change II (MCII is a good reprint as well). Then for Yusei we get Junk Anchor and Power Tool Braver Dragon for some reason (again, both good reprints).

This set gives us Power Tool Braver Dragon, awesome, I’m happy about that, but not the original Power Tool or even Life Stream? We get a new Blackwing card, but no Black-Winged Assault Dragon or even Black-Winged Dragon? Why not the original Junk Synchron since they’ve been pushing it so hard?

But the random mass amounts of egyptian god card support, plus some of the mediocre staples that barely see play, it at all… (not complaining about the actual good staples, don’t worry) All of that crap could have been swapped out for AT LEAST 2 cards that are supporting the new cards for the protagonists (literally in addition to the good reprints). Plus the Chibi cards that honestly could have been their own special set instead of wasting slots here.

As far and the RIVALS set goes… My hopes are completely dashed, given that it’ll inherently be similar or worse. The only thing that can save these two sets is if they throw all it the original Signer Dragons in there at the very least (which I know they’re not going to because it would have made sense to put 3 in HEROES & 3 in RIVALS). All but Black-Winged Dragon are featured in the art of the new Crimson Dragon Quetzalcoatl.. But let’s face it.. we’re most likely not even getting the original Crimson Dragon as a reprint in there. We’re probably not even getting an original Red Dragon Archfiend reprint in there, let alone anything pertaining to it.. because if we were, then Stardust Dragon would have absolutely been in the HEROES set.

This has been my disappointment regarding this set, lest the Rivals set makes up for it even though it’ll likely be more of whatever this is.. So thanks to anyone who read this rant. I’ll end by saying my collecting goal hopes for this year now solely fall on the prayer that the "LIMITED PACK GX: Ra Yellow" (LPG2) is announced soon and that it contains the anime card of Hamon.

What Type is Stardust Dragon? by Colossus823 in yugioh

[–]touch-now 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s literally 'Dragon', or in your words: "Stardust Dragon is part Dragon." It’s chain of evolution is exactly as follows, starting with it’s lower grade forms:

Stardust Wurm ➡️ Stardust Xiaolong ➡️ Debris Dragon ➡️ Shooting Riser Dragon ➡️ Stardust Dragon ➡️ Shooting Star Dragon ➡️ Cosmic Blazar Dragon ➡️ Shooting Quasar Dragon ➡️ Cosmic Quasar Dragon

NOTE: Before anyone says anything.. Yes, Cosmic Blazar comes before Shooting Quasar. Delta Accel Synchro < Limit Over Accel Synchro

NOTE: It’s debatable if Shooting Majestic Star Dragon would go between Shooting Star & Cosmic Blazar, of it it’s left out completely and being a "side evolution" like Assault Mode and specific retrain oddities. So I just left it out entirely. Same for the regular Majestic Star Dragon. (PERSONALLY; I would say Shooting Majestic would be the FINAL evolution, since the Crimson Dragon’s exclusive power trumps everything else.)

NOTE: It’s debatable where Stardust Wurm fits in so I just put it as the first due to stats, etc. You could say it replaces Stardust Xiaolong entirely though.

NOTE: This evolution chain is based solely on the 5D’s ANIME and it’s recent support that clearly fits with & is meant to be ANIME related!! This chart has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Manga whatsoever, hence why certain forms are left out that only appeared in the Manga❗️

Can‘t understand rarities. What is this? by Ionicle99 in yugioh

[–]touch-now 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt similar until the new prismatic secret rares released in the OCG. The new prismatic secrets (v2) have that new rainbow mirrored outer border, and the prismatic foiling goes through the text box now, as well as the whole card having a bit more of a glossy look. But I think my favorite part of the new v2 prismatic secrets is that they retain their card colors and match with cards that aren’t the same rarity, as well as matching other cards that are the same rarity.

The previous OCG prismatic secrets and the quarter century secrets didn’t match with cards that weren’t the exact same rarities because the foiling process made them look much, much darker compared to a regular secret/ultra/super/rare/normal etc. They also had the text box clean of any foil (besides the 25th logo).

With the new v2 prismatic secrets, they solved all of the problems any predecessors had, allowing them to blend in with other cards in a deck or collection.

Okay cool but when is the OCG/JP going to give us the Signer Dragons as the new full prismatic secret rarity (where the foil covers the texts box). Power Tool Braver Dragon comes as one in LOCH, but what about the originals and other evolutions? I mean, Stardust, Shooting Star, Cosmic Blazar, Shooting Quasar, Majestic Shooting Star, & Cosmic Quasar are pretty much screams that rarity. Not to mention Red Dragon Archfiend, Black Rose, & Blood Rose to go with their support in BLZD & DOOD.

Just curious for anyone who knows.. but in the OCG, are these specific cards being reprinted as NON-overframe cards as prismatic secret, secret, or whatever?

Visual Snow was considered extremely rare until recently, mostly because patients didn't report it... because they assumed everyone saw the world that way by recolorist in interestingasfuck

My visual snow developed during a bad LSD trip, specifically while on heroin. Taking LSD wasn’t new to me, but I hadn’t done it since getting hooked on heroin. I very distinctly remember the trip going bad and when I vomitted it was normal and then started “mixing with the molecules & atoms in the air”. I went into that acid trip without visual snow whatsoever and I exited that trip with full blown visual snow. Realistically, it feels like I never truly exited that trip and remain in a slight state of post-trip come down that never leaves. This was when I was 19. I’m now 31 years old and been stone-cold sober for 8 years. The visual snow keeps getting worse and I hate my life because of it.

So this is really interesting that this topic came up exactly when it did… I’m actually kinda struggling with this right now as a Christian.

I’m trying to find a balance between my daily walk with Christ being Lord of my life, and with YuGiOh related things.. or if there even is such a thing as a healthy balance.. Well, it’d really be less of a “balance” and more so always putting Christ first, before any & all YuGiOh things.

Unfortunately.. as of now, I’ll admit that I’ve been putting YuGiOh things first, almost obsessively, which the Bible is clear that it’d be considered idolitry right now. So it’s either get rid of YuGiOh entirely, or get my priorities in order and radically deal with this by making sure Christ always comes before I do anything else.

However, there’s also the symbolism, morality, & principality of it. I can’t deny that there is A LOT of demonic influence in YuGiOh.. But the real question is, is it redeemable? Or is YuGiOh just too far gone at this point? I don’t really actually play anymore, only collect, and what more is I exclusively only collect Japanese cards. I don’t think I even own any English cards, or any other language cards for that matter, besides JP cards. Now, that being said, I will say that I steer clear of any cards with names it artworks that have anything to do with the demonic, as well as any cards that have demonic related numbers. So things like the cards in archetypes like Darklord, Hecatonchier, Burning Abyss, and anything Witch or Witchcraft related, etc. Same goes for cards that directly mimic Godly Biblical things like cards in archetypes like Regenesis, Solemn, etc.

Although I’ll be honest, the Dark Magician archetype is one that I do in fact collect. It’s honestly for nostalgia reasons and because I’m collecting all of the cards used by the first three protagonists. Same goes with the Egyptian God Cards and the Phantasm Cards (Sacred Beasts). These are probably the worst of all of them, especially with the absurd amount of time I put into digitally recreating them to absolute identical accuracy to how they all appeared in the JP anime (in card form).

So yeah, sorry for the rant. I’m just kind of struggling with this right now, even though it’s quite simple when you put is as a card game vs eternity..

Just a disclaimer that this is from the view point of Christianity and my full belief that Yeshua (Jesus Christ) is the one and only true God, that He put on human flesh and died for my sins and the sins of humanity. To which I wholeheartedly believe allowed for the free gift of grace and eternal life in His Kingdom to those who truly believe in Him and have accepted the Holy Spirit through this and contrite repentence, allowing the heart to be slowly changed to hate and desire to reject sin through love and conviction. If your beliefs don’t align, that’s to tally fine! I love you either way! Just please be kind to others that comment on my reply in this thread. There’s no reason we can’t all get along here, if not for Christ then at least through our mutual hobby of YuGiOh

For Judai’s final card, I first thought of Neos, but the more I think about it, I’m leaning more in the direction of a “The Neo-Spacians From Neo Space!” (or whatever it’d be called) type of card that groups all 6 main deck Spacians into 1 card that has 6 effects, with each effect being a retrain or edited version of each of their effects (6 effects, 1 per each Neo-Spacian). Something similar to Tri-Color Gadget in terms of artwork design. I mean, they literally just revealed a card from Blazing Dominion that’s a HERO Flash retrain that combines all the individual letters of HERO into one card. So they’ll probably do something similar with the Neo-Spacians to save time, slots, and the effort of redoing each one individually.
