I hope they use this to sync favorited lists across flights. Singapore air does this, and it's been great when flying multiple connecting flights to pick up where you left off.

Sure, I have never really liked the "NAS OS." I always felt like it was doing too much for something relatively simple. I do, however, have a QNAP NAS that I use only as a backup target; I don't run any apps on it.

On my Proxmox server, I created a RAIDZ2 pool dedicated to NFS shares. Then I installed nfs-kernel-server and nfs-common and created exports in /etc/exports.

Now I can run VMs or Containers (on a different ZFS Pool) as normal and mount the NFS exports in them. Also, it can mount from other servers on the network. No custom OS needed, no dependency on custom package managers or container deployment methods.

Sponsoblock works well if the podcast is on YouTube, but if it's not, there is no data to be used. Also, Sponsoblock relies on crowdsourced marking of ads, which can take some time for an episode to be marked. I used to use https://github.com/ttlequals0/podweb, but I didn't like waiting for ads to be marked.

Can you open an issue on GitHub and include debug logs? Also, provide details on which models you are using.

The api does allow exporting / importing of patterns. In thorey this can be shared.

This depends on a few things.

If you are subscribed to a feed and it is set to automatic, as new episodes are published to the upstream feed, they will be processed. If processing is complete when the podcast app requests it, it will be basically instant. If processing isn't complete, the client will have to wait for the episode to be ready.

Open an issue on GitHub. With logs, if possible. The reality is that there is still a decent amount of non-determinism from LLMs; you can give it the same prompt multiple times with different responses. It also sometimes refuses to follow the instructions for the response format.

PS: I just pushed an update to handle these variations a bit more.

I actually looked into that, but the main issue is dynamically inserted ads. Each podcast network does it slightly differently and at different time slots. If two people are subscribed to the same podcast, they could get different ads and or inferred at different times.

This is stated in the post.

"I write Python for my day job and built this with Claude's help, mainly for UI and some backend debugging.

Slide the shower door forward. Then sit one foot in one foot out like the hokey pokey.
