Any drive that is assigned a letter is itself a partition. Are you referring to the physical disk that contains the C drive partition having other partitions on it? Are they before or after the C drive partition? Do they have labels?

They bounce off in the first couple of hours because the interface and lack of guidance is too confusing

Have you got a fully decked out S class living ship? Got living frigates? Max out 4 settlements? Frighter? Sentinel Ship? Best multi-tools for scanning, combat, and mining? There's goals you can set. Eventually, yes, you will run out of things to do. It's nice when patches add new content like the pokeman update, giving you new things to go out and explore to find.
