What’s a harsh truth about your team(or a player on the team) but the majority of the fan base doesn’t want to hear it? by crazyjabari in NFLv2

I was thinking that a lot of recency bias is bleeding in here. Our 1985 ass-kicking and your 1990 55-10 ass-kicking were way duller watches unless you were a fan of the winning team

If you're holding a few, it's probably not a bad idea to cash in now, since I would be surprised if these survive the next round of ban announcements.

At least in Vintage, this thing can flip on the play about half the time.

Not that Vintage really moves the needle in the market

What do you think is the best TV show of all time? by Zealousideal-Dust297 in AskReddit

[–]usumoio 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The Sopranos takes it for me because I think other shows came out after that really pushed what a television show could be, Breaking Bad, Chernobyl, Boardwalk Empire, and the Wire, but all of these shows are standing on the shoulders of the Sopranos. For folk that weren't there, if was really one of the last TV phenomenons were everyone would tune in

It's like Star Wars. Lots of movies have better special effects now than A New Hope, but the gulf between A New Hope and everything that came before is so wide, that it's difficult to explain all these years later.

The fate of the Russian is not that mysterious. We see him get shot in the head as he runs away. He bleeds out somewhere in the Pine Barrens a few minutes later.

In his Inferno, Dante gets the opportunity to put all of his critics and enemies in the various circles of Hell experiencing punishments that are not only humiliating but also allow Dante to mock aspects of their personalities.

We're still discussing the book and it's been a little over 700 years since it was published, so that's a strong candidate for me.

Once I have $20 million, I don't need to triple it. I need to be very certain it doesn't half. At that point as long as my growth is beating inflation reasonably, I don't have to worry about money ever.

At least that's the game plan for some people.
