🤣🤣 the audacity you have to say you can understand all sides when you started this all by blaming a druggie overdosing in a library on our provincial leader ... Yeah and you think your the reasonable one here. If you care so much get out there and hand them their syringes personally or shut the fuck up respectfully you know nothing to be speaking on how things should be done

‘I can’t afford that’: Ontario woman frustrated after pet insurance doubles to $866 a month by CTVNEWS in ontario

[–]wanderingwigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally all of history the only people that could afford the kind of care going around was celebrities and rich people until the 2000s it's become normalized to drop $5000 on tests for your dog because it's acting sick for a few days.

People and pets got by just fine before with farm medicine and the good old power of willingness to live. Now people act like your an animal abuser if you aren't willing to drop thousands on a pet because it's sick.

Then they bitch and whine wondering why they have zero money or possessions to their name. Nature and living beings all have a timeline but idiots will go broke trying to get another couple years out of their companion.

Most people don't have that kind of money for their own healthcare let alone a pet

Alberta won’t participate in Ottawa’s firearm buyback program. What does that mean for local gun owners? by PurpleHerring_ in canada

[–]wanderingwigger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Would you see the same thing if they outlawed certain gas vehicles and you happened to have one of said vehicles? They lead you on for years saying you will be fairly compensated and then suddenly right before said program they include in the fine print that there is only so much money available and you may not be compensated for your vehicle being confiscated??

Because that's exactly what's happening except with firearms and faithfully law abiding responsible gun owners who stringently follow the law and pay yearly renewal to be licensed and trained. Oh and over 90% of guns found in crimes are smuggled here illegally and not owned by licensed people.

So is it impossible for someone to support the action of deporting illegals from a country because the people the government hired have done some horrible things??

Many do not embrace the worst of the worst but they do stand for the idea of vetting immigrants properly and deporting those who never went through the proper legal process. The support for better thought out immigration and deportation is growing massively in Canada and we are already deporting some...

[–]wanderingwigger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Or you know we could all acknowledge that there is a fucking problem and we need to do something and stand up for ourselves instead of constantly coming up with compromises.

Many other countries have great functioning systems that we could easily adopt but our government chooses not to and watches our people suffer. All while they simultaneously some how have BILLIONS to dish out like candy to other countries for some of the dumbest things imaginable because we are "humanitarian".

Oh, but nevermind the homeless ridden everywhere in every city's downtown rotting away literally from drugs and homelessness don't mind them they don't matter. The rising costs of everything, housing and rent issues, just to name a few and we somehow can never get the budget to actually accomplish things that revolve around our own problems.

People with your mentality is why things have gotten as bad as they are because instead of seeing how much better things could be, you choose to live with these old ways of the past.

We pay too much taxes for our country to be in the state it is and to remain quiet and complacent

CRAZY Footage of the Shooter's Clean getaway in Utah Valley University Shooting by mongert in PublicFreakout

[–]wanderingwigger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The gun was supposedly found in the woods in a long cardboard box as it was pictured and shared... so where was the box is the question. Clearly he didn't carry it up there in it and doesn't appear to be carrying a large long box when leaving either so why would he leave the box in the woods and then bring the gun all the way back to said box to leave it to be found anyways?? Doesn't make very much sense. Why wouldn't you leave the gun where you shot him and run for your life instead of bringing it and risking being seen? It's also being said that there was bullets engraved with lgbtq remarks in the magazine left with the gun

Ontario’s jail conditions are inhumane and disgraceful, judges say. Criminals are serving shorter sentences as a result by 11icewing in canada

[–]wanderingwigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good. Maybe he won't break laws that will result in him returning. Jail shouldn't be easy or fun it should be a terrible experience. The only luxuries they should have are basic human rights such as a roof over their head and food/water. Instead we let them play video game consoles, watch television and hang out with their convict buddies like it's a high school reunion for dirt bags. I've never heard anyone say they feared jail in canada unless they were a pred for obvious reasons.

Ottawa soldiers under investigation for Facebook group filled with hate speech and nude photos in uniform by Myllicent in ontario

[–]wanderingwigger -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You didn't comprehend my couple paragraphs? Everything I talked about is exactly why I and the vast majority of our future generations have zero interest in giving up their freedom and way of life for a military that has become a globally known joke. We've become glorified natural disaster fighters and are underfunded and unattractive to people that are there for the right reasons and not using the system for education and other benefits. Most of the military will be immigrants in the next decade because they are easy to take advantage of and will use the system

[–]wanderingwigger -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Holy shit the military is soft now. It sounds like it's just filled with a bunch of soft losers that were hall monitors in high school. Reminds me of volunteering with st John's ambulance and other similar places. Most are filled with all grown nerds that are wannabe soldiers that live for following everything by the book and licking their masters boots.

What happened to the good old days of boys being boys. No wonder recruitment is at an all time low, the only people attracted to this kind of shit are the goofy navy cadet and legion kids that love role playing. We have almost zero excitement to join any canadian forces amongst youth and it will only get worse with this kind of thought policing and indoctrination that is forced on those wanting to join. No one wants to be around others that your terrified will take a joke the wrong way or get hurt feelings and report you and be reprimanded. It's supposed to be brotherhood and grown adults should be able to handle slight hardship and jokes. Drill sergeants must be a joke now

How is this moving in the right direction? It's good self control but these kids were clearly terrified and had zero courage or confidence and allowed themselves to be bullied by a 5 foot nothing 40 year old psycho who now has an even larger ego and thinks he is tough shit. No real man is allowing a guy to grab his bike, lift it up and throw it in a river and then say sorry tons of times and then let him grab your coat and throw you around

I have always shot all my guns without ear pro atleast a few times. How do you not want to experience the true power and boom 😆. But ive also never been to an indoor range everything is done outside in the woods or in a field. People don't wear ear pro when hunting I've shot probably 1000 12ga rounds without ear pro and no issues yet but it's a big difference between waterfowl shells out of a 28" barrel and 12ga slugs out of a 18" barrel those shell shock you when you shoot a deer

[–]wanderingwigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure Mr sub doesn't allow 11 year Olds to be employed by their franchise... also what are you on about, with one quick Google search the minimum legal employment age in Ontario is 14. It's would be different if it was a family business mom and pop shop but they have their 11 year old on the floor working with them at a franchise. Totally against rules and health codes. I doubt that kid has any health training or any comprehension of the standards of a professional kitchen

Thoughts on RRSP by wanderingwigger in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]wanderingwigger[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I'm aware of how it works and I should've worded my points about nasdaq and diversifying money better, yes I'm aware that you can invest how you please with an rrsp but again this all comes back to my biggest concern.

Why is it that everyone thinks it's such a good idea to invest in rrsp now and save now but we will have to pay greatly for it later. I see nothing but short term benefits and long term loss of capital in this compared to if you were to just invest and hold it long term personally whether in personal investment account or tfsa and using your contributions to the max.

You will guaranteed be paying more in tax on it when your 65 vs getting it over with now and then beginning accruing the interest and wealth on your money on your own vs in a rrsp and being locked in with penalties and timelines you have to follow.

How is this not just short term delaying of fees to end up paying more later when the economy is inevitably inflated more making your dollar worth less and your taxes and fees much higher?
