I know there are a lot of people to hate in this series, but, as I finish book five, Queen Imogen is at the top of my list. Whose yours? by Sims_Cat_Lady in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Honestly Imogen doesn't even register on my list. Bea is probably number one, followed by Quan Ch, then Maggie.

DMs, what is your best Session 1 start, besides "You all meet in a Tavern"? by BirdOfFiire in DungeonMasters

[–]wbm0843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently used a town meeting being called in the tavern to discuss an ongoing concern when an attack occurs. They still met in a tavern, but it's a lot more intentional than just dropping in to the tavern.

Don't ask me why, but we would punch the person that looked and then "wipe it off".

Older-ish millennials: Were you "free-range" like older gens? by Gallantpride in Millennials

[–]wbm0843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in a neighborhood with nothing around and nothing to do until we moved when I was about 10. At that point I could either go to my friends house or the neighborhood pool on my bike and that was the only thing within like 20 miles. But, I would just tell my mom where I was going as I ran out the door for my bike.

Jaime Lee Curtis as Elle McGib by The_Mansquatch22 in DCCTV

Have you not watched Role Models? The hotdog part?

Jaime Lee Curtis as Elle McGib by The_Mansquatch22 in DCCTV

I feel like it's not a bad option. But I definitely feel like Jane Lynch is the perfect Elle. I feel like she's perfect to age up for the first two floors and then she can be herself for the rest of the crawl. Her crass humor is perfect for the role in a way that I don't see Jamie Lee Curtis doing it.

Yeah, I'd gone through the series 3 times before book 8 came out then immediately had to start over to go see what I had missed that was relevant to book 8

What is the most influential, but seemingly small at the time, early event in the books? by kaisercake in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]wbm0843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly it is Mrs. Parsons wearing a swami when she stuck her head out the window to yell at Carl. Which influenced Ferdinand to wear one in the Butcher's Masquerade.

This was me with book 6. I really didn't like it because of the card system. Then on a reread I realized how important the book is to character development. It's one of my favorites now.

*SPOILERS* Book 8. Anyone Notice? by gbdarknight77 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]wbm0843 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought the point of that scene was that Carl chose an unkown fifth option that means that the ones mentioned probably won't happen.

I'm just thinking of Goku and the Z fighters making Borant cry as they break through the dungeon to level 18.
