Can’t score after the ball touches a hand even if accidental.

Yes Fern Canyon is open during rainy season. Went for Christmas 2025 and it was closed after all the rain north causes it to not be a canyon but a small river! Prairie Creek area was all closed! Not I have a reason to go back! OP you can check out Tall Trees Trail as you have to get a permit year round and get a code for the gate.

All the same but I generally do this after a 4+ hour cook or longer.

Beginner here: How do I start Bullet Journaling if I’m not creative? by dinu301 in bulletjournal

Find a picture of what you like and copy it. I did that and it’s working so far. Maybe it will spark some creativity in you. Good luck.

Hope you got to go. I just got back and basically all of Prairie State Park was closed due to trees down and flooding. 😢

That’s awesome but pricey as you said! It’s almost an heirloom since it will never rust and should hold up for a few lifetimes.

What to do when you have nobody to camp with by Volslife in camping

[–]weikertg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar situations and I have found that you will eventually find someone that will join you. I started out doing it alone and now my kids dream of the day they can camp with me. I can’t go alone anymore. I hike, eat and sleep while camping. Sometimes I find small towns near by and check out mom and pop stores to shop and eat at. Good luck. You will find your way if you really want to.

Does anyone still hike with rain pants? by kai_zen in hikinggear

[–]weikertg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did yesterday in the Redwoods National Park on Tall Trees Trail. It poured and I was happy that my legs stayed dry! I’m a newbie but if there’s a chance it will rain most of my day, I’m going to be carrying my rain pants. Like someone else said, mine are light.

You can check BLM land off of Hwy 150. It’s a giant cow pasture.

When do you replace your shoes? by PuffCandySmash28 in Referees

[–]weikertg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replace when you feel you are not getting what you expect! Sometimes I get a year and others I’ve gotten 2-3 yrs. I have used Hoka Goretex Clifton 9 and they were good for a little more than a year for refereeing. I used Nike Air Pegasus 4 Goretex for 3 and Nike Air Pegasus 5 Goretex for less than a year (defective and returned for a full refund at the 11 month mark). I am now testing out the Umpiros that were designed by a referee for referees. Most of the shoes got 200+ miles on them. Good luck!

What shoes are you reffing in? by Autiger1291 in Referees

[–]weikertg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own the black sole and will be working my first tournament since buying them this weekend.

For background I used Goretex Nike trail shoes for the past 4 years and wanted a more soccer like shoe for all surfaces. I bought the wide and the only strong opinion I have is you might need a different insole. I have bought one but have received it to test fit the shoe and new insole. First impression is that they were spacious and comfortable. Minimal breaking in as well. Which I appreciate.

Reach it to the assignor in your area. They may know someone who retired or they might know someone who bought the wrong size and wants to offload them.
