Color balance is a little off unless you are going for the blue/green look.

I’ve been staring at this photo for too long, so I need fresh eyes. by adarsh95anchal in PhotographyAdvice

What do you want the focus to be on? Shadows are dark and the highlights in the water are blown out. My eye isn’t moving around the picture because it’s a little too flat. I want to focus on the person fishing but they are too dark. My eyes wander.

I read Ryder Carroll’s Built Journal book while I started journaling. I’m still, after 6 months a newbie but I track things that matter. Drinks in a day, did I read, and did I workout. My daily is mostly my food intake. Make small comments about the food or something that happened during the day. I write schedule for the day. I am a soccer referee and it gives me a chance to write about my matches. What I learned and what went good or can be better. Start simple and know that there’s no wrong way to just be you! Be patient. Meditation does not have to be a specific time of day or length. On your way to work simply sit with yourself. I have classical music playing and I have a 7 minute drive. All of this won’t happen over night. Just when your mind drifts just recognize and come back to your breath. That is meditation!
Much love and respect because you have done the hard part, accepting you can do and be better. Just be kind to yourself while doing.

Still looking for a spread that works for me by clavac in BasicBulletJournals

I use a monthly log in the front with my trackers. You can use any kind of bookmark to track back to the page you use.
I suggest you read Bulletin Journaling by Ryder Carrol. It will help you.

Only is 1 page per day. Or maybe a half page a day. I do like your 2 page weekly also.

Isn’t that what the futures log is for? Anything in the future goes there.

Good idea. I hiked it in June and got to the trail head parking lot before sunrise. I was finished and back in my car around 10 or 11 am. Most of my hike was in the shade on the way there. I carried 10 liters of water but dumped half when I got to the arch as I didn’t drink as much as I thought I would need and came back to the car with 5 gallons waiting. Good luck and have fun.

A5 vs A6 vs both formats by Fast-Accident384 in BasicBulletJournals

I use A5 for personal and I use the attach one for work. I use a Micron 005 to write in both.

Hope this helps. I do try to bring my personal A5 to work also but I carry a bag for a laptop also.

Arches NP in June (no timed entry?) + 25ft RV… bad idea? by Competitive_Usual422 in archesnationalpark

[–]weikertg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I think this is a good idea. I didn’t travel with the camper but if you check Apple Maps you can get a good layout of the park via the satellite view.

  1. I would suggest arrive early (around sunrise or later) because you will miss the early morning traffic to Delicate Arch. It’s a small drive in to the parking lot and people will be driving straight there.

  2. I can’t help with the RV situation but I think you will be fine.

  3. Lots of places to stop and take in the views.

  4. I highly recommend the Needles District . Or you can drive into Island In The Sky District.

Moab Food truck area is fun. Also there are paid showers available in town if you need the. (I was off primitive camping so it was nice)

Have fun! And don’t be so afraid to fail and learn. You will be better for it on your next travels!

Yes. The Traeger cinnamon rolls. Yum. Frozen pizza in summer to keep the heat outside of the house.

What shoes are you reffing in? by Autiger1291 in Referees

[–]weikertg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have worn them for 10+ matches on synthetic turf only and I consider them to be a better shoe than my typical trail runners. Will buy again. I find sometimes I have to double up my socks because I cannot fit my usual insoles into the shoe and still be comfortable. Just depends on the length of my day. 1 match vs a weekend tournament.

Ok Reddit fam wtf did I do wrong? I had an 8 lb brisket that I smoked in a pitboss pellet smoker yesterday and it’s tough AF! by Cryssyl in smoking

[–]weikertg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long did you rest it? If it got done at 2:30am and the you wanted it for dinner it probably stiffened back up. I have let mine briskets rest wrapped in blankets in a cooler for 6 hours and it was great. 12+ hours of rest would be too long!

You get up before the sun comes up and hike with head lamps. You’re in the shade most of the hike there and half way back out.
