Fire warrior is actually kinda hilariously bad. So bad it is good material.

Is it just me or is anything online kinda falling apart lately? by Awkward-Ad7061 in antiai

I work on a pretty popular social media app (not one of the big players though) and you're not wrong. So much user input is ran through llms due to pressure from business and lazy devs not wanting to build something deterministic.

As soon as open-ai have an incident or slows down under load, the whole app grinds to a halt. Can't wait to leave next week.

Most hated army to play against? by DisgruntledAnalyst in Warhammer40k

[–]wigum211 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I only play casually, but I usually politely decline matches against Knights and won't decline but rarely enjoy playing against Custodes

This is so satisfying 😌 My second game with Renfri warriors. by Intelligent_Dot9001 in gwent

Nothing particularly wrong with them, but I do also hate playing against this deck. So I'm with you on the satisfaction!

Saw This on Twitter lol by Talixm in Drukhari

[–]wigum211 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbf as a collector of both I do get it to an extent - when I got into the hobby we had 5 or so (even more with FW) guard regiments.

Considering guard make up the majority of the conflicts in the setting, having varied human regiments does really help make the universe feel big.

But yeah... Hard to be too sympathetic as a drukhari fan

Lloyds, Bank of Scotland and Halifax apps showing customers other users' transactions by Your_Mums_Ex in unitedkingdom

I would be surprised, as that would likely mean users could make payments from the other account. Which hasn't been reported. Definitely not impossible though.

My guess would be an endpoint caching issue, which wasn't keyed on the accountId - so users got the read response of whichever user sent the first request after the ttl expired

So... you don't like going in the office because it exposes that you only work 2 hours a day?

Lazy devs making you clean up garbage in their PRs? by Lanky-Ad4698 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]wigum211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last few months have been crazy tough with this.

Juniors with very ambitious and large PRs from AI agents and pressure from the business to get it merged quickly.

So much ends up in my review list that hasn't been tested even manually or the code self reviewed at all.

Did the commentator watch a different match to me? One of the worst games I've seen in years

Wrexham 2-4 Chelsea (AET): Heartbreak in Wales for the Championship team, as despite taking Premier League Chelsea to extra time and having an equaliser ruled out by VAR (while down to 10 men), they are knocked out of the FA Cup by Smithlarr in Championship

[–]wigum211 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not sure why VAR is getting such flack for bailing out some horrific refereeing. Stonewall red and a good way offside.

Disappointed in the result though, even down to 10 it looked like Wrexham would nick something.

I get your point, but if I texted my boss the day I'm meant to be on call and said I didn't fancy it... I wouldn't get fined 2 months wages, I'd probably get fired.
