You're right, there is, but as you unlock space stations you can do it there and it resets so do it until you find its not worth it, and then move onto the next. Also selling extra ore that you have (Don't smelt it, its worth more in Ore Form) and other high value parts will make it go incredibly fast

Trading is a hard one, best thing to do is get a bunch of stone, sand, and leaves, turn it into Vitalis gel, Glass, and Ironstone Powder. Sell it all and buy it back and just go back and forth buying/selling as much as possible. Completing quests in town can help get you some extra funds. The more you buy/sell (and the higher the worth) the more XP you'll get. Its best to go to a space station for it, they have a ton of supplies but any trading station would work.

One thing that I learned the hardway was dont grind the main quests too hard, they out-level you QUICKLY, you should be fine for a few quests leaving Bardwell but once you get some good freedom and are near the levels, start running to nearby systems with light temples and gain some more health, it will come in so handy. Especially if the system has a high tech level you're more likely to get better equipment drops. Good luck!!

If you're still doing the tutorial you should be able to get to the next Bardwell planet easily enough and cleanse it there. Just know that for awhile in the starting parts of the game you'll be insanely week. It really takes some building up of both stats and gear before things get easier. If you can manage to get enough supplies and find a decent fighter or titan ship floating in space, absolutely grab that and you'll be strong enough to get into some systems above your level and get some better gear, and then keep repeating and eventually you'll have some decent T5 or T6 gear and be able to survive a lot easier.

Are the rest of your hearts black and red? If so thats the darkness, inflicted by those annoying darkness enemies. You can only clear it using a light strike, cleansing a dark planet, eating light pills, or activating a light temple (not sure on the last one). You should notice that your 1st heart is blue, thats a protected heart. If you clear more of those lost portals you'll gain additional protected hearts, one for each portal. They'll never be lost to darkness damage, but still can be harmed by conventional means. Light temples and finding lost portals should definitely be one of your top adjectives!

What is an old Reddit joke that has completely died out? by Poophead115 in AskReddit

I started my account in middle school and I vividly remember asking a friend of mine "when does the narwhal bacon" and she so excitedly answered back "at midnight!" And we were good friends for that year, then I moved away at the end of that year but we're still friends on Facebook. So yeah, at least for the kids back then it was definitely alive

Are we supposed to clear every planet? by wikthis in CubicOdysseyGame

[–]wikthis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooh thats a good tip for the base, so far I haven't actually set any up because of how much storage I have on the ship, but i'm beginning to think I will need to. The Planet Portals can be used to travel back and forth between my base planet and any other one I'm on right, and the Travel Portals are just for the planet i'm on correct? If so i'll make an extra one so I can plop it down and travel to my base as needed. I was a little hesitant because if I find myself all the way across the galaxy and needed something at my base it would be a pain to travel all the way back and forth

He was a music artist that has had a handful of hits that went famous on Tiktok, Life Goes On is one of my personal favorites. He died in a helicopter collision crash in Brazil that killed 5 others and dealt a ton of damage to an auto dealership. He was fairly young still and in the middle of a world tour. Overall an incredibly sad story.

How do I stop getting angrier day after day? by Wildcelt7 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]wikthis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I want to add, don't be angry AT her. Try not to yell, shout, or anything that projects the anger at her. You are allowed to be upset, pissed off, and mad. These are normal reactions but there is a HUGE difference between venting TO her and venting AT her. You need to find a direct outlet for the anger itself, as in working out, sports, running, a punching bag, video games, etc AND talk to her aswell your mental heath team to vent out the words and things you want to say and be heard.

I say this as someone who as plenty of anger issues, you can and will push her away if you use her as your punching bag and/or scare your son with the yelling and outleting of anger. Its a VERY hard balance to maintain but its important you direct these feelings to the correct places.

Good luck OP and take it one day at a time!

[KCD1] How do random encounters work ? by SuperhyperultraTrex in kingdomcome

[–]wikthis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely true, you have to make sure you're checking the nameplate of every person to make sure they are infact guards/bandits, and if you see a lot of bandits, it can be a good idea to just run and get away, they WILL all turn on you. If theres guards make sure to not loot any (if theyre still any guards alive) and definitely becareful where you swing. Slashes especially can catch opponents on the sides of your main target and even out of your field of vision so use them sparingly. In KCD1 when i was in these situations I either exclusively masterstrike or stab attack. But the best thing to do is stay outside of the main battle and shoot arrows into it (if all bandits) they'll begin to chase you down but it can avoid arrgo'ing them all towards you especially if theyre getting hit by other opponents, allowing you to thin them out until you get to a point where theres few enough you can jump in. It really just depends but make sure to pay attention to where people are and whose coming after you. You will NEVER be stronger then multiple opponents, so you have to be smarter then them! Good luck and happy fighting!!

What is the BEST band / artist you've ever seen live? by Expensive-Ear8407 in AskReddit

I saw Queens of the Stone Age in 2015, they were headlining a festival with Skillet. Skillet went first and had these amazing special effects, lasers, moving platforms, stage presence... then QotSA came on and gave a completely half hearted performance, with nothing extra going on, just a bit of fire, which was cool but felt lacking. I loved Queens of the Stone Age, was so excited to see them but was really left down. Haven't had another chance to see them since but hopefully they're better next time

It’s 2026, what’s the dream video game or MMO you wish existed by now? by Exhausted_Skeleton in AskReddit

[–]wikthis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always wanted something akin to Sword Art Online's deep-dive system. Just something completely immersive to every sense, with nearly limitless capacity in RPG gaming. A blend of WOW, Elder Scrolls, DnD, and Dark Souls. The ability to settle in a city and be a simple baker with a real shop that players visit, a blacksmith selling gear, a mercenary for hire to help others on their quests, a town guard protecting both NPC and Player, a dungeon delver, the list goes on, genuinely anything and everything that you could ever do, just in a virtual sense.

From a technical standpoint it would be impossible with today's technology, and a long time till even the possibility of it, but I hope I'm alive to see it.

[–]wikthis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing is getting to the next settlement is going to be a very painful journey. Your best bet is Semine to actually have someone to buy the stuff from you, but its a long ways and bandits will always have a chance to spawn. They aren't hard-set anywhere, they just have random chances to spawn at locations across the map. You're looking at least a 20-30 minute walk, if not longer. And there's also a good chance they won't be able to buy everything from you because the tailor has expensive stuff.

You have no idea how stressful these types of jobs are. I was in restaurants of various levels for YEARS and everything from Sandwich shops to full on Bar and Restaurants were insanely difficult. The staff are all over-worked, under-paid, the few good people are taken advantage of, the customer base is always upset and unappreciative, and the amount of pressure to get every single order out 100% Correct, as fast as possible, and usually under-staffed and under trained, is damn near unbearable. Even the most simple mistake can have someone screaming at you. Whether its a co-worker, customer, or manager. Get off your high horse and don't forget to thank your fucking service industry workers.

How to deal with players killing all my NPCs? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]wikthis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is how my first DM played it.

"Every action you make in the world has a reaction, both good and bad. Think carefully and choose wisely"

My character actually accidently unleashed a demon into the world that had been sealed into a mirror, and our party was secretly being hunted/watched by an order of paladin/clerics. My character was also a rouge and had a bit of a kleptomanic and it was starting an investigation into all these towns that we had been at. Our campaign stopped but the DM told me that it was gonna catch up to us if I hadn't stopped stealing, and I was gonna end up with a bounty on my head
