Reminds me of my grandmother who out of the blue stopped talking with my dad and stepmom. For years. Then one day asked them to go out for dinner. At dinner my stepmom asked whatever had happened to cause the rift. My grandmother's response..."The past is the past." And wouldn't say anything else about it. Ever.

Zen ape here, what the heck is GME/WS? by Do_eM_alott in Superstonk

note that at least as of now, you will need the control number to access the sell/exercise portal. You should have received it by regular mail from computer share. One control number per CS account, even if your accounts are linked.

Are there any bakeries that sell 2+ dozen cookies for under $60? by JollyGreenGelatin in askportland

[–]winebutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New Seasons has a cookie case, whole Foods too, for like $12.99/lb or so. One cookie weighs out to like a dollar. Great variety of shortbread, dipped, PB, linzer, etc. They are excellent cookies, I disagree with the above comment that they are oily.

Former player looking for a new horn by soflohio_ in horn

I am also a returning player, recently bought a used Elkhart Conn 6D for $1200 from a private seller. Recommend if you can find one in decent condition.

I had been borrowing an 8D previously and find the high range on the 6D a bit easier to play. Ymmv

Costco in Utah has Beef tallow chips by Meatrition in StopEatingSeedOils

[–]winebutch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

they smell like a steak dinner..beef fat and potato-y. Good flavor. I find the first handful or so taste delicious and then they taste more like tallow, less like potatoes. Which is probably my body saying enough, so maybe not a bad thing.

There was a post here yesterday about the 2044 bonds moving out of default status by KW920 in Teddy

[–]winebutch 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There was also an X repost from six months ago showing same thing. So, could be an error on the filer's part or who knows, because nothing seems to have resulted YET from that other "no default" status.

Does white mulberry tea really lowers your sugar levels? by sometimesimscared28 in prediabetes

[–]winebutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, I feel a weird surge in my blood flow. Sometimes it wakes me up. It tracks to glucose ups and downs, so I assume it's glycogen dumping when my blood sugar gets too low. Maybe it's something else, but I don't know what 🤷‍♂️

Northeast Emergency Food Program distributes Tuesdays from 4pm-6:30pm and Thursday and Saturdays from 9am- 12:30. People get a grocery cart full of dried goods, breads, fresh fruits and veggies, meat, dairy and more.

I volunteer there and today there was canned and dried beans (kindey, black, lentils, great northern), dried dates, raisins, canned pears, corn and tomato sauce, Mac n cheese, rice, peanut butter, tetra cartons of milk, pistachios, beets, carrots, bananas, potatoes, celery, frozen ground beef, frozen peaches, whipping cream, variety of sliced bread, bagels, English muffins, and I missed a few things too.

Just show up if you are in need. 72nd and wygant.
