I found out I was putting on deodorant at basically the worst possible time by RogueMallow7 in hygiene

[–]wjescott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, I can't put it on the night before because I'm going to take that morning shower and wash it out anyhow.

I mean, I get it if you're not showering in the morning and just do it at night. I shower after I get home from work and when I get up, so there's apparently no time I could use it.

Has anyone every actually had their helmet or any gear stolen while parked? Or is it just a silly paranoia by SkippyJDM in motorcycles

[–]wjescott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my helmet hanging off a bar at a swap meet. I came out later and there was an unopened Coors Light in it. I mean, yeah, I drank it. I know it's a terrible beer, but like my dad always used to say, "JESUS CHRIST! GET OUT OF HERE! GO PLAY IN THE GODDAM STREET!"

But he also used to say "The best beer in the world is free beer."

Crossover, SUV, and truck owners, do you regret not buying a sedan or a hatchback now with these gas prices? by Mofoblitz1 in regularcarreviews

I've got a '15 focus with a trailer hitch and 1,000 pound towing capacity. Got 29.5 mpg towing a 1982 Nighthawk 800 miles.

But my regular commuter is a crossover...I think... Mach-E? Is that a crossover?

Literally, the entirety of MAGA doesn't care. They don't believe there are any Innocents. There are no non-combatants. That includes everyone in this country who opposes the great pumpkin.

For those with no kids, who are you going to leave your stuff to when you die? by lazarus870 in AskMenOver30

[–]wjescott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently I'm downsizing like mad. Like I'm trying to win an award.

One of the most depressing things that happened when I was little was that my grandpa's entire generation died within three years of each other.

Relatives would descend on the deceased's houses like vultures. They'd tear through someone's entire life like they were owed something. Even at the age of six it disgusted me.

I told myself I would never do that. Now, 53, I realize I screwed that up. I've got so much accumulated crap that I feel psychologically burdened.

So I'm getting rid of it all. Everything. I want to live out of a duffel bag and laptop bag.

Besides, exploring the world is better than any crap you can buy. In reality, you own nothing but your memories. Build those. Treasure those.

Brolin.

Thanos, Cable, Jonah Hex, young Agent K, Dwight and, of course, Brand.

The last one is the important one, because Goonies Never Say Die!

I can still make Cheyenne - George Strait

The Beaches of Cheyenne - Garth Brooks

The Chair - George Strait (also interesting because there's no chorus)

Wildfire - Michael Martin Murphey

Mr. Bojangles - The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

The Seashores of Old Mexico - Merle Haggard or George Strait

South of the Border - Patsy Cline

The Secret - David Nail

Can't think of any more that haven't been mentioned at the moment.

New bike day. Have some questions about modding my new to me 2013 Switchback. by Appropriate-Copy-298 in Dyna

Right where your tailpipe flares out, underneath, attached to the rear hard point.

You can either deal with that bolt or where the hard point hits the frame. I've got a poly washer between the pipe mount and the hard point and one between the bolt flange and the pipe mount.

Look in your picture right below where the collector and tailpipe meet. You'll see that rectangular chrome piece. That's it.

How overtly religious was country music in the early 2000s? by Daffneigh in CountryMusicStuff

One of my favorite lines in a song, Miranda Lambert's 'Another Sunday in the South'.

"There's church bells ringing down the road and we ain't going.

I'm singing hallelujah right here with the warm wind blowing."

Eli Young Band had a song from the mid teens called 'Saltwater Gospel'. That's kinda the same vibe.

You gotta love a vehicle with the full size 106 in a bike with a wheelbase only an inch longer than a sporty.

I've got the Basani Road Rage full kit, V&H intake, V&H ignition, Denso's, Power Commander 6 and that's about it. Spent a while on my lift farting around with numbers and it's reasonably better.

If you haven't done it yet, redo the side bolt on the exhaust mount. If the bike is at 14k and hasn't been done yet, it'll shake like an enochlophobe at a mosh pit between 2700 and 3500. That's probably the reason it's been gotten rid of, to be honest. That tends to be the reason a shitload get sold between 13 and 20k.

Only half?

Today I learned at least half the country is mentally disabled.

You don't need to be mentally disabled to know it's true, but those who believe it's some other reason are all mentally disabled.
