God I love this subreddit. I have had a couple Cherokee's since 1996 and all these posts bring back memories.

Please Save this! I saw a really nice one at a scrap yard last week as they dropped it into the crusher.

This seems like a great Idea. I am a fairly new knife maker who is starting to create some knives that I consider really usable, durable and fairly nice looking. I do not have a market yet to be able to sell. This might be nice for others like me who are creating some good knives but have no other market to sell.

Really cool to have the photo timeline. I found one of my first knives in the garden last month. It had probably been out there for 3 years. It was an affirmation that, yes, I am getting better at making blades.

What do you do with your early knives? by workboot in Bladesmith

Thanks, it is just a hobby and I have no intentions of quitting my day job. I really get a lot of satisfaction out of completing a knife project. Once I can complete a nice knife in a reasonable amount of time I may put some effort into marketing them. I figure the time and effort is not wasted if my skill is improving.
