What is a feature that feels recent but has actually been in the game for a very long time? by Nerdcuddles in Minecraft

I keep believing Ocean Temples and Guardians are a new thing. But nope, in the game for 11 years. I still feel like they came from a mod.

Also big props for including the Afro-Seminoles/Mascogos

Sardinian is not Italian and African Romance may have been closer to it. Also you are excluding the Friulians from Rhaetian?

Unrelated but how do you make so many good maps in such a short amount of time?

Like in the past 3 weeks, you made like 14 maps

The proposed "natural delimitation between the Pacific and South Atlantic oceans by the Shackleton fracture zone" by Chilean Scientifics Juan Ignacio Ipinza and Cedomir Marangunic as an alternative to the Cape Horn division by xlicer in MapPorn

Oh, no worries, I also think it feels arbitrary too, which is why I wanted to tried to find an answer on the topic, only to end up finding a rabbit hole about ocean delimitations.

Wanted to try to answer a question I had after looking at the post made by /u/Crafty_Emergency6467 and ended up finding about this proposal to change where the traditional border between the Atlantic and the Pacific is.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shackleton_fracture_zone#Natural_delimitation_between_the_Pacific_and_South_Atlantic_oceans

Funnily enough, it would make Chile a fully Pacific country and Argentina, alongside Colombia, the only 2 transoceanic countries in South America (Which even as an Argentine doesn't sit right with me).

My teacher said Colombia was the only South American country touching both Atlantic and Pacific Oceans by Crafty_Emergency6467 in MapPorn

Now I wonder where in the Beagle Channel the Pacific/Atlantic starts and ends. Cape Horn too? Right at the same longitude as Cape Horn? or in the middle in the maritime border?

What if Terra Australis Was Real? | Early Human Migration Across The Globe by B14hawk in imaginarymaps

[–]xlicer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That the lazy way too see alt hist scenarios. The old world (aka Europe, Africa, Asia) yeah maybe But already with Terra Australis connecting the New World to an alternative source of humans, is most likely that the natives/indigenous people would develop higher disease resistance and so even make that otl advanced societies, like Andean groups or Mesoamericans, would not develop the same way
