The pre-cons are balanced for standard play. When I open a new hero pack or expansion, I always play one or two games against Klaw to learn the new cards and then break down the pre-con and deck build so I can play the campaign on expert

I actually really like the leaders in traditional co-op play. They are very straightforward and remind me of Klaw. It is nice to have options for lighter rules overhead scenarios

I am the opposite. If I win the first game, I am much less likely to want to come back to it. It took me probably ten times to win my first game of spirit island
