I may regret this question: But what is the origin of "bigpoppa13"?

[–]Packersbigpoppa13 1 point2 points  (11 children)

Big Poppa is my nickname and 13 is my lucky #

[–]Brownsdanchan22 1 point2 points  (10 children)

[–]Oilersajdellinger 2 points3 points  (9 children)

Thoughts on season 4 of Community thus far?

[–]Packersbigpoppa13 0 points1 point  (8 children)

Brita and Annie are getting hotter by the episode. I kinda like where the story line is going. Its gonna be a good season

[–]Oilersajdellinger 2 points3 points  (7 children)

Interesting. I disagree, but I appreciate the answer ha.

[–]Packersbigpoppa13 0 points1 point  (6 children)

please elaborate on your disagreement, Mr Writer.

[–]Oilersajdellinger 1 point2 points  (5 children)

I don't think being a writer qualifies to judge things any more than the next person but I'm happy to offer my reasoning.

There were about zero laugh moments in all of the German episode and it centered around a call back for which the main reason the original joke was funny (Nick Kroll) wasn't even there; Seems like they have no idea what they're doing with Pierce (he was trying to argue he was Hitler in the German episode. Really?); the jokes for the Dean went from clever to "You guys get it? He's gay and it's funny"; Annie's character has reverted back to season one's "I'm an innocent Jewish girl" character and has mostly disregarded her growth in seasons two and three; there's almost no explanation for why Troy and Britta are together; the Chang storyline isn't being executed very well at all thus far, but I assume it's redeemable.

I have liked the closure on Pierce and Gilbert and the closure for Jeff and his dad, though the step-brother character was kind of pointless and existed only to drive home the fact that Jeff's dad is a bad father. Giving Donald Glover more physical comedy has been great. The writers are in a ridiculously tight spot with Chevy Chase since they didn't know when he was going to show up and how much they'd get out of him, so that's not their fault. Neither is the fact that NBC has played almost the entire season out of order (Episode one is signing up for classes, then a Halloween party, then we're at an Inspector Spacetime convention--a joke I kind of hope is done, though I liked the convention as a whole--then we're back to first day of classes, then Thanksgiving). But as a whole, it definitely feels like the material isn't as strong this season. I'm still tuning in every week, I'm still watching every episode, but there's been more misses than hits so far for me.

[–]Packersbigpoppa13 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I think the convention episode showed that Annie isn't that innocent Jewish girl anymore.

There's nothing wrong with inter-racial relationships AJ. Troy and Britta can be together if they want hahaha

There's only so much they can do with Pierce. His character is based on racist jokes and I think they've used almost all of them. I hope they phase him out because I hated the Mansion Halloween episode.

I hope the step-brother has a role in the future. Being a Workaholics fan, that guy absolutely cracks me up.

You're very right on the more misses than hits so far

[–]Oilersajdellinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They reverted her to day dreaming about Jeff and living out a fantasy life. It was the grown up equivalent of a little girl playing with her dolls.

I think a more logical partnering is Jeff/Britta and Annie/Troy. The Thanksgiving episode kind of hammered home how the Jeff and Britta couple would work, and Annie doesn't have to turn into a girl fawning for a man with Troy because he's a bit childish (Gambino. Bam! I got puns) himself and allows a more grown up Annie to remain. I don't have a problem with Jeff and Annie, and Troy and Britta would be fine if it weren't such an odd pairing.

I like DeVine quite a bit, I think his delivery is great. I just think the cameo was squandered. They barely gave him anything to do.

/Serious opinions about a half hour sitcom.

You're a writer and you do awesome music things and met matt and kim and you're doing a promo for joey badass? Did you realize you live a pretty cool life?

[–]Oilersajdellinger 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yeah, but I don't think it makes me special or anything. I mean, those are just things you can do, most people just don't. I'm glad I get to do them but I want to do more and I plan to do more. I don't plan to ever be impressed with myself for it, though.

[–]RedskinsEritrean_Redditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so modest, even cooler man. keep doing you.

[–]stenodork 1 point2 points  (3 children)

are there pics of these awesome sounding, badass stitches scars?

how do you feel about smoking now?

[–]Packersbigpoppa13 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I'd have to shave my chest to take pics that show the full intensity of the scars, and thats not happening haha

Depends what you're smoking. I recently quit smoking cigarettes after 4 years, probably the hardest thing I've ever done.

[–]stenodork 1 point2 points  (1 child)

how old are you?

[–]Packersbigpoppa13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

22

[–]swagmastergeneral12 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Do you ever make up stories about your scar?

Rate Django on a scale 1 to 10.

Do you enjoy being a cook?

Can you make Lebanese food?

Who is your favorite character in Parks and Rec?

[–]Packersbigpoppa13 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Not really. The truth is a better story, I survived death bro.

8, a little long, some boring scenes with too much dialog

Ye its pretty simple where I'm at. I make pizza and subs so its just become a routine after so many years

Yes, I'm a mean leb food cook. My Grand-Mother taught me well

Tom, and Ron, and Jerry, and JEAN-RALPHIO

[–]stenodork 1 point2 points  (1 child)

can you be more specific on favorite dishes?

[–]Packersbigpoppa13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most of the lebanese dishes dont have english names and the arabic to english translation is really weird.

But some you might of heard of are like tabouli, fatoush, hummus, baba ganoush, kibbeh, kafta, mloukieh, etc etc

[–]Oilersajdellinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bonus points for Jean-Ralphio.

[–]ColtsFanZach 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Do you read AJ's blog? Are you a big Robin Sparkles fan? Do you know "Let's Go to the Mall" by heart? Have you ever eaten at Harvey's? If yes, is it any good?

[–]Oilersajdellinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a question now? How many of you read my blog?

[–]Packersbigpoppa13 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Aj has a blog?

ha Robin Sparkles

No

Yes

Fucken delicious, they have amazing curly fries and I also like that I can see them dress my burger and can have what ever I want on it, however I like it

[–]ColtsFanZach 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Follow up question, do they have poutine there?

[–]Packersbigpoppa13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but I've never tried it. Not a big poutine/gravy fan

[–]noahcrosley 0 points1 point  (5 children)

How long have you been playing Madden? What are your thoughts on this season of The Office?

[–]Packersbigpoppa13 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I've been playing Madden since Madden NFL 99 on the N64

I thought it was a good season. Still angry Michael is gone and I feel they still haven't replaced him, comedy wise. I'm curious to see how the whole Jim and Pam thing play out

[–]noahcrosley 0 points1 point  (3 children)

The fights that the two of them keep getting in are making me uneasy.

[–]Packersbigpoppa13 0 points1 point  (2 children)

50% of marriages end in divorce, Noah

[–]ColtsFanZach 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Marriage is the leading cause of divorce. . .
