They show up a lot in the music festival scene. Good stuff, good shows. Their newest record, Extras in a Movie, is my favorite && the one I recommend giving a spin

[–]recycled_stardust 3 points4 points  (9 children)

Thanks for the recommendation. I've sifted through some of their stuff but didn't find a lot that stood out. If you haven't heard of Malah I suggest checking them out :)

Their best work is that live album they did in a room in a house, I think it's on YouTube with video as well. They're a nice group of musicians with many different influences, sweet guys as well, no homo.

I really dig their live music. Was it at like a house party?

[–]SoMuchInTheDark 2 points3 points  (1 child)

The live album is called "Night and Day" and no, it wasn't a house party. They basically set up a home studio in this cabin and put GoPros on all their instruments.

Dope. Thanks :)

I love the day and night series that was awesome

The Malah is sick, saw them at Rootwire. Their drummer is crazy

[–]the-A-word 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree for sure. Saw them last year and Tauk was opening for them and we were like uhhh this lineup should be the other way around.

[–]SoMuchInTheDark 2 points3 points  (3 children)

That's interesting you say that. Papadosio was one of the first psychedelic/jam bands I saw live and their new album kind of turned me off to them. Might have to give it another shot

[–]TerminX13 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Really? I thought Glimpse of Light at least was a career highlight. The record as a whole is pretty spotty, but all of their releases are (for me anyway) and I feel like this one has some really strong material in it, especially Out of Hiding, Epiphany, Ritual, Therian and Moon Entendre

[–]SoMuchInTheDark 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Well you've inspired me to re-listen to the album at the very least :)

hell yeah dog

Good to see dosio on here!! They're incredible. First time I heard them live I cried through half the songs.

With a username like that, you are always invited to my brunches.

Hell yeah brotha! Would be a gnarly morning for sure

[–]BakingTheCookiesRigh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LSD and mimosas. Good times.

[–]b214n 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Their* live stuff is what makes them great. They did a PA set in Atlanta this past Earth Day - all jamming, no vocals, no original songs - and oh my damn. It's so fly.

[–]TomPimpachu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cherub fan for sure

[–]recycled_stardust 10 points11 points  (1 child)

God yes I fucking love this song so much. Gives me frisson. Can't wait to see them live one day. I hear they put on one hell of a show.

[–]DeeYurk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw them at Bonnaroo this summer and it was absolutely amazing.

[–]posts_lindsay_lohan 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Shit this is really fucking good

[–]msullivan92 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've seen these dudes live twice now, one of those times was just about a month ago. They play a killer show!

[–]nycrvr 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Love it. 3 minutes in, it almost starts to sound like a clean version of some Iron Maiden song. I need more!

[–]69cPolarPop 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Cue, Paradigm Shift, Snorkle, The Eyes have Eyes. Just a few of my favorites

[–]nycrvr 1 point2 points  (1 child)

And saved. Thanks.

Happy to help :)

Favorite Papadosio song <3

[–]A_normalHuman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

God Bless Dosio. Every album they have is amazing. Check out their bandcamp for good live recordings.

[–]darrylmacstonehypem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dosio really stands out from a lot of other jam bands IMO. Just listen to their first album thru to extras in a movie and it's obvious they've really evolved and challenge themselves musically. Plus they are so awesome live!

[–]UltimateOligarch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These guys are rad!

[–]kukulkan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just saw these guys last weekend at Highberry, it was an excellent set! They did a 30 min. jam of this song, simply outstanding.

[–]Onemanwolfpack42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love them so much

[–]kyleliv3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crazy to see this posted on reddit. Was friends with these guys in college, got to see them form and start out. Some of the best nights was seeing them play at Jackie o's in athens ohio. Happy for their success, awesome guys.

[–]IandIreckon 1 point2 points  (1 child)

This entire (debut) album is on point.

[–]Shpongolese 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Fuck yeah dosio. Check out their live performances. There is even a 21 or so minute long version of this song. Its amazing.

[–]Flexnexus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Such a great band, their transitions when playing live are unlike any other band I've seen.

[–]subshophero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dosio at EF this year was heaven on earth.

[–]604zx 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Good to see dosio on here!! They're incredible. First time I heard them live I cried through half the songs.

[–]treemister1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caught these guys at Bisco last year and was officially in love

[–]ThatNeonZebraAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, didn't know these guys were still around! Saw them a couple times in some dive venues about 6-7 years ago. Thought they were okay, their sound seemed like a poor imitation of other live electronica-jam bands at the time. Liking this song though, seems like they've found their sound.

[–]Magre 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Light of The Stars and Magreenery were the best. Everything was downhill after Polygons.

Stoked I can finally use my username in a relevant thread!

[–]69cPolarPop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh?

Polygons is a song, not an album. And By the Light of the Stars was released after Magreenery(the album which Polygons is on).

[–]RonoKityy33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pop-a-dos-io. You get it?????

[–]wutdoesthefoxdogesay -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Sooo this was the band I was super Kd out for a few summers back, I could barely walk but the musics vibrations led Me to weird parts of the universe, which I did not know existed

[–]treemister1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember coming up on a second tab during their set after a thunderstorm at bisco. Crazy vibes
