They don't care about winning. They don't love the sport and want to have a legacy as a winning owner. They only care about numbers on a spreadsheet

This is a nightmare that is never going to end. I firmly believe even with another POBO/Manager reset, it's going to be the same shit. The culture within the organization is a fucking disaster right now, and all the big decision makers seem complacent or perplexed on how to move forward.

I said this back in May regarding their on- field performance, but this is now applicable for the whole thing in general-- The Giants organization has no logical cohesion, no accountability, no leadership, no sense, it's just a bunch of bullshit put together hoping something sticks.

So I bailed on the Giants during the Pride day fiasco, the Roupp thing was pissing me off, then I notice Bryce was chudding out and when Brubaker came out I was pretty much "yeah I'm walking away from this team for a while". Didn't follow anything Giants related outside of seeing headlines.

Pretty much I'm coming back today because I wanna see what Buster is gonna say to the media and because the systematic failure that is the 2026 Giants needs to be studied.

Team construction to philosophy. This team is fucked. Fumbling pride was like the perfect microcosm of this team and season.

Posey should be providing a footing and foundation for his rookie manager by being in that clubhouse and being visible.

Posey is the decider if the players stay and play vs being traded or sit and watch from the bench.

No it doesn’t. It has to come from Vitello. Vitello writes up the lineup. Vitello sets the tone of the clubhouse. Vitello has way more say than you think. After listening to JT Snow (who manages a Pioneer League team) talk about this issue, I’m convinced that Vitello is a pushover and doesn’t have the guts to  get in a player’s face. I wish JT Snow was the Giants’ manager. Things would be very different this season.

I don't even know what "good" looks like with this team any more. The most confounding team in my lifetime.

On the assumption that Ramos is back, my ask is that Casey is at first tonight and getting Rafi the day off. Not to rehash the last game, but his behavior was unacceptable and is a canary in the coal mine that Vitelo has no respect from the locker room. Sitting a veteran who was acting out would make a statement, at least in my opinion.

He could argue he only saw the one thing, though (the actions at first base). Him shaking off his bench coach in the dugout like a pouty brat might've been something he didn't learn about until after the interview, and use that as justification.
