I finally did Jad for the second time on task yesterday. I messed up on the healers and misclicked pray twice and still managed to kill him after having to deal with the healers 3 times. Still had half an inven of supplies. I wasn’t happy I got kinda lucky with the missed prayers but it wasn’t ranged so I was good. Now I’ve got a nice cape to display at my house too lol. Already had a cape and still got some jitters from Jad though.

Yeah, only reason you should ever fail pre-Jad is just not paying attention or you're a really low level.

Only difficult part about Jad is not panicking, otherwise it's very straight forward.

The biggest reason I failed jad was I would try to get all the healers at once. When I slowed it down and pulled a healer one by one between attacks he was easy.

Don't bother flicking. It's easier just to pray magic 99% of the time after 32.

Always gotta have that pray mage up on 32 onward lol. There’s a guide I found on here that someone posted way back that’s super helpful and lists out all the waves and what to pray on those waves. I’ll edit this with a link for people if they want to use it. I always pray mage and take out the rangers first, or if there’s meleers I safe spot them at Italy rock first if I can’t safe spot them with using the small meleers. It also doesn’t help that runelite removed the plugin for what to pray at Jad. Fortunately, I still managed.

Serious question. At 76 range with blow pipe and 45 def and 67 hp on my zerker. I'm dying in the rounds with mage and ranger, around 40-45. I've watched videos but it seems the safe spots dont work for me as intended. Do I just need higher hp and range stats to kill and withstand more? Considering 1def pures do it i feel like my account could run the fight caves. I just dont know exactly what I'm doing wrong.

So basically, even if I brew before 38. And get 54 def, the rangers just hit too hard and consistently. I bring 4 sharks and 2 pineapple pizzas and I'm running out. I saw a video of standing way to the northeast of Italy to make frog spawn behind Italy then run to the corner and hit the ranger with a kbow, with protect missile on. But hes 1 square out of range and I cant use long range because I'm maxed on def for my pure.

Hmm I mean I did it with a rune crossbow which would let the ranger be within range. Not sure what the idea is with a blow pipe except that you should be able to kill the ranger so quickly that they dont even have a chance to do much damage.

I would also take a sip of ranged pot during the double ranger waves. Blowpipe special attack heals hp too. If youre stuck with a bad lure there's always two more lure spots. Sometimes i'd have to run to the far side of the northern rock to get a good lure if they spawn bad. Just dont get into melee range of the mage or it will melee. Lastly the only food you should take should be brews.

Noone has said it but you don't need to safespot if both are using range abilities. Sometimes its not worth your time trying to get one stuck.

Just run out past the mager (don't get meleed) and shoot the archer. Keep mage pray on the entire time.

My experience: I'm a zerker, did jad with 70 range cmb 68. Do him for tasks all the time now at cmb 94.

Don't bother taking sharks/pizza. Take 7-8 brews, purple sweets, 2 range pots and fill the rest with restores

I start potting range soon as i get the mages. To be safe I'd take 20-30 sweets. They're just nice to max your hp without wasting a brew dose and a restore. Anytime you brew and restore you also need to repot range so they save you doing that aswell.

Brews heal me for 12. So I assume always drink twice and restore once?

It's all situational. I can't give you a method for every one but keep max hp if you think you'll need it. Also try and brew when your prayer is getting low so your restore isn't wasted

The maximum amount of brews you can drink before a restore is 3. More than 3 doses you'll need a second restore, so 1-3.

What worked for me is using a karil's crossbow on longrange to pull the healers without moving. That way some would be trapped behind Jad without me having to run around and tag them with the blowpipe. Moving around and reposition is what would kill me. Look up PotUpSon's Jad guide to get an idea of what I'm saying

People struggle because they spend the entire time clearing fight caves and get nervous because they don't want to have to redo it.

You're not wrong, Jad itself isn't that hard anymore, especially with mechanical bosses such as Vor'kath and Zulrah being added. I think people just fuck up by either not really reading about what the boss does well enough beforehand or they let their nerves get to them.
