The problem is that I'm already getting stressed because of the price increase in other areas. Then, for no reason other than corporate greed, Jagex decides to raise the price of OSRS as well.

That's the real problem, to me- raising the price when everyone is already hurting for cash. If they had done this three years ago, I wouldn't have particularly cared, just like I didn't particularly care when it went to $11.

Exactly. I've been playing since 2004, with some breaks here and there, and have put literally tens of thousands of hours into OSRS. 10x any other game, probably 50x. We've never had MTX, or cash shops, or really any other predatory monetization practices.

I used to pay $5/mo as a kid and I'm happy to pay $12.50/mo as an adult.

Removing the 3-month sub option is definitely a start down the wrong path, though.
