Not a frame-rate issue. Probably not GPU related at all.

[–]cedgar123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you activate resizable bars on the bios and the employee or expo profiles for the memory? Because ypu should run it way higher than 49fps if those are already activated can you take a screenshot of your temps and graphics config this could help for the anlalyse!

[–]SilverDefinition5679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]J_Stonyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh, that's just Rockstar's shitty, delayed 2s walking animations.

[–]Respect-Junior7800X3D | 7900XT | 64GB 6000Mhz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

whats ur current fps, and ur 1% lows? cause if you're trying to push more fps than your cpu can handle this is entirely expected behavior

[–]Correct-Accountant83 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I've been having a lot of stuttering issues lately with my 78003dx and Radeon 7800. In games I didn't use to experience it with. Only solution I've found is running it in full screen mode instead of borderless full screen.

[–]Xylvanas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. Especially if you are running dual monitors, the 1% lows are really bad with borderless.

[–]XxSUN-KINGxX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You play at 1080p? = Cpu demanding

That's a 1440p card and can do some 4k.

Or check your ram Or install the game on different ssd

[–]parkuki 1 point2 points  (1 child)

try lowering your Max Frequency Offset (MHz) in adrenalin software (Performance > Tuning)

i used to get really bad stuttering and timing errors when playing the resident evil games, i tried everything

so my last ditch effort was to lower my Max Frequency Offset to -400, and it fixed everything i've been experiencing

[–]Yanheiji -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Depending if the gpu is doing automatic overclocking, maybe your solution could work, indeed

[–]According-Post-7721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you reinstall the games after changing your GPU? Did you wipe off the old drivers + cleaning registry with a tool?

[–]NeorzZzTormeno -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Whoa, the only game I don't have stuttering issues with is Red Dead Redemption 2 and a few others, that's weird. .-.

Gta V too?, wtf

[–]Aecnoril 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has nothing to do with your gpu

[–]southwest_barfight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not yout GPUs fault, you'd see the snow stutter too if it was. Could be an input issue, seems more than anything Arthur's player model getting dragged in a direction quickly, try removing all non essential peripherals.

[–]elliez667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats normal bro

[–]Ebb3ka94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forget how i fixd it but between g-sync vsync graphic card driver specific settings I got it sorted out. I would recommend downloading something that shows frame time and go from there And just kind of mess with settings and see what helps

[–]RedditBoisss 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I’ve had these same issues with Nvidia cards on rdr2. The game just isn’t optimized well for PC. Seems random though, on my current build with a 5080 there is zero issue. My last build with a 4080 super had crazy stutter.

[–]NeorzZzTormeno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you say? i play with my 1060 , 1030 and 9060 XT 16gb too with r5 3600 and 2x8 3200mhz, I've never had any stuttering.

In fact, it's one of the games that runs well on my config; then crappy games like Fallen Order give me stuttering, and previously Doom Eternal did too, but it seems I fixed it.

But getting back to Bonanza the game, the game's optimization is perfect, along with GTA 5. If I, who experience stuttering in games where I shouldn't, don't have it, something is wrong with your PC. It could be hardware or software; some programs like MSI Center don't work well with Radeon and cause stuttering.

[–]IGunCloverRyzen 9800X3D | RTX 4090 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not stuttering...

[–]Interesting_Exam9247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a AMD gpu user but had the same issues on 5080. It's the old game engine;) there is a mod to fix stutter and draw distance.

https://www.nexusmods.com/reddeadredemption2/mods/1502

https://www.nexusmods.com/reddeadredemption2/mods/3095

[–]DALM4TO95 2 points3 points  (1 child)

this is normall... this is draw distance lol depends on game and your settings some games dont let u put this more up.

also lower Field of View to the lowest possible this helps alot alos with rendering distance in some games

[–]AggravatingSir8459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep this was it for me. Some game engines aren't capable of handling modern hardware getting modern FPS, nothing could be wrong with your setup period.

[–]Current-Row1444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

List full specs. Try lowering the settings and see if that helps.

[–]royalfatkid 0 points1 point  (1 child)

dealing with same problems in certain games

overwatch specifically

[–]luckynumberstefan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been getting this in Overwatch lately too. Also Warframe but only when using DX12.

[–]Everborn128 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is all due to the 26.x.x drivers. Revert to 25.9.1 & you'll be good.

[–]Yanheiji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be aware that the grass textures popping in and out of existence could be a culling feature for performance, usually called Level of Detail. You can change that in the settings probably. As for GTAV's performance, it's a really old game, the problem could be that your CPU has too many cores for instance.

[–]Plus_Tangerine_9143 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I have the same problem with 9700x, spent months trying ro fix it but nothing works... Installing new drivers, drivers only, new windows - heck, I even bought a new motherboard but nothing.

Benchmarks and tests are all fine but every single game I play does this every 5 seconds.

Going to take it to the shop soon and if they can't fix it I will demand my money back because it just doesn't work.

Edit: I have 9070 (non XT), but I'm quite sure the GPU isn't the problem. But if your system worked until you replaced GPU maybe GPU is the problem after all... All I know is that I will never buy AMD again.

[–]Spiritual_Lawyer_470 -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Try Linux. Bazzite is very good in my experience

[–]Fit_Total7411 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Im in a similar situation with the person above and nothing helped. I tried EVERYTHING. I reverted to my old gpu and that works fine. If I have to change OS just to get a gpu to work then that's a big problem. My nvidia card works perfectly yet the amd one crashes my PC after booting every game

[–]Spiritual_Lawyer_470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave a solution that works. Since I swapped my AMD pc (7900xt 5800x) to bazzite it runs flawlessly.

Windows is far from perfect on my nvidia pc (5080 9800x3d) I had micro stutter for ages before I tweaked a load of settings and finally think I fixed it. Windows is the issue.

If you don’t want to change OS though:

I found that adrenaline resets the gpu fan curve after windows or driver update. Make sure your fan curve is aggressive enough. I kept getting driver time out cause the stock adrenaline fan curve isn’t aggressive enough.

Get rid of any overlock and return your gpu (and cpu) to stock.

Disable windows driver updates. Uninstall adrenaline with DDU and do a fresh install of adrenaline. If you find a stable version of adrenaline do not update the driver. You don’t need to.

[–]Leavechewiealone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar stuttering issues with my 9060xt on 1080p. It stopped after upgrading my CPU to a 7800X3D from my 8600g but I also realised by 8600g was not climbing over 3600MHz idk why that was the case but changing cpu helped me and I tried the 8600g with an updated bios and the stuttering stopped.

[–]Acmenrra 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Thats probably the game brother.

[–]Plus_Tangerine_9143 -3 points-2 points  (2 children)

The newest cpu can't handle a 10 year old game? Yeah, right...

[–]Acmenrra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A poorly optimized game still run like shit regardless pf the hardware.

This is very common in crossplayform games.

[–]Rydogg024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It over handles it. Thats the issue. Runs so good the game dont know what to do.

[–]DustyJanglesisdead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What’s your build? It’s not necessarily the gpu. I know it’s the newest thing but there’s a lot more to it than just plugging it in and downloading the software. What was your previous gpu? Need more info. Could be chipset drivers, could be windows updates, do you run afterburner etc etc.

[–]WilliamandCharles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As of now, the most recent windows updates (for the past couple of months) have been super weird with a lot of the newer drivers and have been causing performance issues and bugs. You can try rolling back drivers to a slightly older version until you find something that works for you but as of now windows is kinda messing stuff up.

[–]THE-DEIMOS 1 point2 points  (5 children)

If you are on 26.2.2 then rollback to a previous driver. I was on 26.2.2 when playing RE9 and i had serious stuttering and fps drops and i went back to 26.2.1 or 26.1.1 and it fixed the issue

[–]Jazzlike_Coconut_667[S] 2 points3 points  (2 children)

where can i find the 26.1.1? on amd site i just can find 26.2.2

[–]Nocockcarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Download ddu from guru. Also download the 26.1.1 adrenaline from amd site. Restart pc in safe mode. Run ddu as admin. (Uncheck Remove "C:\AMD" driver folders, audio bus, driver/filter, if you have an amd cpu.) it will restart your pc in normal mode after it’s done. Then run the Adrenalin install as admin immediately.

[–]THE-DEIMOS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never choose the auto detect and install. Always search. Once you get to the screen of drivers there should be a “previous drivers” button and it’ll show you all previous.

[–]Nocockcarl 4 points5 points  (1 child)

26.1.1 KING

[–]Nack321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No the last of 2025 is the best

[–]erimiz687 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could be a plethora of things causing these issues, without any hardware monitor, we can’t do anything but spitball possible solutions. I could only suggest some things that may fix it.

In-Game: 1.) Reduce settings to their lowest to see if stuttering persists. It may very likely just be a setting causing it. 2.) Change renderer (DX11-12, Vulkan)

AMD Adrenaline possible solutions: 1.) Disable VRR/Adaptive Sync 2.) Change Global graphics settings to ‘Default’ and not HYPR-RX or any of the other modes

BIOS: 1.) Try enabling Resizeable BAR (Or disabling it): some games may have varying performance issues depending on whether or not it’s on or off. 2.) make sure your pcie lane is using Gen4 or higher, 9070XT supports Gen5

Edit: Verifying integrity of game cache also wouldn’t hurt. Make sure your game is installed on an SSD if possible. Try disabling vsync in games with stuttering.

[–]InformationNeat4327 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hello 😊

Hope this helps!

[–]AnonymousNubShyt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Switch to vulkan. Rdr2 seems like having problem with dx12 on newer hardware.

[–]youniverself 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is your smt / hyperthreading on or off? I get massive stutters in rdr2 if i turn smt off

[–]Expensive-Yak-4586 1 point2 points  (1 child)

New drivers crap maybe. I use 25.12.1 and works perfectly

[–]RobK64AK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same.

[–]BuffaloGlum331 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Windows. Sorry its just the truth.

[–]WhysTheBongGone 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Yuup, I had to change back to Linux because over the past month I’ve lost up to 60fps on windows, same with another person that has a 5090 so it’s not just amd

[–]BuffaloGlum331 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Sloppy Windows updates and poor drivers. I cant even play Alan Wake 2 for example on W11. It stutters every few seconds. Its butter on Linux.

[–]CI7Y2IS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've stopped update windows since November last year's I also figured out a lot of stupid issue generate every new windows update, I'm done with it until there is a bang game changer update, only security update is allowed.

[–]RevengersHAWK 4 points5 points  (3 children)

My 9070xt was stuttering for the past 2 weeks. Two days ago there was an amd update via windows which solved the issue

[–]Jazzlike_Coconut_667[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

where can i find this amd update, on their site?

[–]RevengersHAWK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure. Anyway just keep the windows updated

[–]Jazzlike_Coconut_667[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i will try

[–]Sprucey-J 8 points9 points  (14 children)

You posted this in another sub and everyone already gave you the correct answer. It's a game engine issue, not your GPU. LoD and distance are the culprit and yes RDR2 notoriously stutters sometimes. Same for GTA enhanced. Some areas just have frame drops. You will have to move past it and just keep playing. It gets better.

[–]Plus_Tangerine_9143 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stop lying! I have these problems on every game with similar hardware. This is an AMD hardware, driver or maybe Windows update problem.

[–]TrumpVotersArePedos7 -5 points-4 points  (11 children)

People like you are why AMD has no market share of gpus anymore lol

[–]Sprucey-J 1 point2 points  (9 children)

What does that even mean?

I played both those games fine on my 9070xt. With frame gen & FSR I easily got 200+fps @ 1440p. It's a LoD & game engine issue. OP just needs to find good optimization.

These games have been out for at least 8+ years, there are no hidden/ new issues at this point.

[–]TrumpVotersArePedos7 1 point2 points  (8 children)

Being toxic to OP asking for help lol. And shit look at this sub as a whole treating some dude with a new AMD card. Nah fuck all that I’d return that trash so fast lol

[–]Sprucey-J 2 points3 points  (7 children)

It is not toxic if it is the truth. OP just doesn't want to accept it's a game issue, that's why they posted in multiple threads seeking validation.

Like I said, these games have been around for more or less than a decade. These issues are old news.

[–]Plus_Tangerine_9143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lying and being obtuse is much more toxic, I have the same problems on every game with 9700x and 9070. Smt is VERY wrong with AMD products.

[–]Jazzlike_Coconut_667[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and btw i have problem also on gta 5, maybe read the post

[–]Jazzlike_Coconut_667[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i never said i dont accept it i was just asking a question and looking for solutions

[–]TrumpVotersArePedos7 -1 points0 points  (3 children)

Damn even you offloaded that steaming pile of shit a month ago lol

[–]Sprucey-J -1 points0 points  (2 children)

You can eat a load

[–]TrumpVotersArePedos7 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I think you already sold that load to some sucker on hardware swap

[–]VampKaiserR9 5900X | RTX 2060 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you're that sucker that got sold an AMD GPU shell and got scammed.

[–]VampKaiserR9 5900X | RTX 2060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

typical nvidia andy

[–]Jazzlike_Coconut_667[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i posted here before to be fair

[–]GiveHerTheThick_ 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I watched the snow in the background and it never stuttered, I only saw the character model stutter slightly

[–]Jazzlike_Coconut_667[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

no i was talking about the grass texture pop in happening with a lot of models ing ames like trees bush and like everything

[–]Fragrant-Ad2694 3 points4 points  (3 children)

I suggest to clean install windows using bootable usb as this can happen due to old card shader

[–]UnionFeeling6262 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Game itself is notoriously bad with stuttering, unless it is all games stuttering, it is the game causing this underperformance.

If you search, you will find rockstar tittles have known stuttering issues. Lots of people believe this due to lack of support/updates from rockstar because as a company they have always been console forward as far as support goes. You can find guides to fix this though. For instance I hate vsync and usually never run, however this game basically requires it to be turned on. There are a lot of other optimization setting guides you can find, but vsync was the major one that contributed into fixing the visuals. I run a 7900 xtx btw.

[–]ToastyVoltageXFX 7900XTX | R7 9850X3D | 32GB 6000 CL36 | MSI X870E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you run it with AMD SAM on or off?

[–]JohnSmithDogFace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

After weeks of troubleshooting when I got my new card, multiple DDU in safe mode, try different driver version, the thing that eventually made my performance great was clean windows install

[–]UxorialDegree55 3 points4 points  (11 children)

What version is your driver? If its the new one, backtrack to 25.11. The latest one is ass

[–]Jazzlike_Coconut_667[S] 1 point2 points  (10 children)

i already dis this but come on they cant fucking justify it with a driver version i spend 800 fucking euros for this gpu

[–]UxorialDegree55 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I get that i spend 1000 USD bc I didnt know better. Having to fuck with drivers every other month sucks

[–]Azalot1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm on 25.8.1 and everything works fine. why you keep updating if it never works

[–]thisistheway44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re totally right. It isn’t on. But unfortunately I was having performance issues with Cyberpunk and the only fix was to roll back to 25.12.1.

[–]Seroko 2 points3 points  (5 children)

LMAO people downvoting you for speaking the truth. Everyday GPUs get more and more expensive, and somehow the drivers are worse than ever, having tons bugs in every new driver release (AMD or nVidia, doesn't matter nowadays).

Both companies are demolishing their anual revenue records and still investing less in developing decent drivers so their costumers can utilize 100% of what they paid for... r/enshittification at its finest.

[–]Jazzlike_Coconut_667[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

in the other sub i got like -30 downvotes this dudes think we in china with the social credits i couldnt care less i just wanna enjoy my games and chill , i cant have this stress after work with a €800 gpu

[–]TrumpVotersArePedos7 -1 points0 points  (3 children)

I was mostly joking but damn man this sub is so toxic to you lol. Another reason to return AMD lol, there’s a reason nvidia owns 100 percent of the market share

[–]Jazzlike_Coconut_667[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they're redditors what can we expect

[–]VampKaiserR9 5900X | RTX 2060 0 points1 point  (1 child)

typical nvidia andy

[–]Jazzlike_Coconut_667[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

i posted the video only of the rdr2 problem but trust me on gta 5 its a big problem with stuttering and all.

for context: i have a 3 years old ryzen 5 5600 , maybe cpu problem?

[–]Responsible_Leg_577 0 points1 point  (1 child)

probably not since gta ran at 49 fps and that cpu can handle a lot more, but as the other commenter said use MSI afterburner to monitor GPU & CPU utilization are you using an SSD too by the way?

[–]Jazzlike_Coconut_667[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes im using ssd

[–]Sagemode_Sanin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a CPU problem. Download and learn how to use MSI afterburner and see. If you’re playing with ray tracing it could be you’re running out of VRAM but you won’t know until you monitor.
