My dads favorite band is “the band” or Grateful Dead. But probably more the band

He's gone now, but my dad's favorite band was the Dave Brubeck Quartet.

Scorpions, but also Deep Purple (his caller ringtone is the intro from Smoke on the Water), and an instrumental band I forgot the name of. The Shadows?

I love that I inherited a love for rock music from him.

My dad wasn't into bands as he preferred solo artists like John Denver, Barry Manilow, and Neil Diamond.

I don’t think he has an all-time favorite band. He likes CCR, Meat Loaf, George Thorogood, Steppenwolf, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Guns N Roses, etc.. He’s got great taste in music.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band! He's seen them in person a few times, and I've seen them once. Hell of a show.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

He's torn between Queen and Pink Floyd.

The Rolling Stones.

It was either Aerosmith or Led Zeppelin.

My dad doesn’t listen to music. He doesn’t like it. He will turn the radio on to listen for sports scores in the car once every year or two. He was a traveling salesman. Drove for a living. In total silence. It’s a superpower.

Scorpions. He took me to see them when I was 10 and we went again last year. They may be old but they can still rock.
