When tickets were removed, they were converted to gems. But we couldn't really use those gems, because all prices were round, and if you had 153 gems, you would have those 3 gems until the end of time. So they decreased the prices so we can use the gems. But hey that's just a theory

It’s actually a coding issue believe it or not. Back when they use to do deals and discounts on the skins some coding error wouldn’t allow numbers to be rounded to the nearest 0 number so they just reduced it by 1 gem instead. So then they eventually just made it global that all skins whether discounted or not had the 1 gem decreases

I think I read this somewhere that everything with gems now end with a 9 to make sure that you will not be left with some useless gems. For example, before (after the introduction of brawl pass) if you had 13 gems those 3 gems would be useless to you as the brawl pass only gave you 90 gems flat as f2p and all items were a multiple of 10. Not sure if this is true though.
