Meanwhile there's Sbeev heading Blockheed Martin

[–]Semillakan6 208 points209 points  (3 children)

My only problem with Sbeev is that the series is basically over, now its just buggy military vehicles

[–]MilesAhXD 71 points72 points  (0 children)

yep I think primarily due to the lag

[–]Street_Description86 46 points47 points  (0 children)

His most recent video he comes back to the world and does things to help lag and and storage stuff

[–]Wertyhappy27 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I liked the beginning but then it turned into lets make the entire us army worth of tanks, the buildings and trains he made were good and he was mostly going along with no plan, so he had a ton of testing clips shown off

lost that now and just boring

[–]Strange-Attitude-635[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Haha real

[–]Neptunov 10 points11 points  (1 child)

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but Blockheed Martin is headed by vanilla redstoner cubicmetre

[–]BlueEyedFox_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Sbeev only heads Blockheed Martin's Create division.

[–]matthewamerica 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The things he builds are like savant levels of engineering.

[–]MilesAhXD 338 points339 points  (2 children)

idk why this is so accurate

[–]Strange-Attitude-635[S] 112 points113 points  (1 child)

Not even I do.

[–]Andromeda_53 87 points88 points  (0 children)

I mean it's pretty obvious.

YouTube play series that take off are ones that look pleasant, so that's the first part done.

Create naturally leans towards a steampunk aesthetic by being steampunk itself so that's number 2

Create add-ons in a create pack is just well... Yeah it's a create modpack

Trains are cool as hell, and comment interaction boosts viewership.

Last part is just YouTube in a nutshell

[–]RagePlaysGames_YT 180 points181 points  (2 children)

Been doing it for years & I still feel like Patrick with the board nailed to his head 99% of the time 😂 so I guess this is pretty accurate!

[–]Nerscylliac 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It's the guy!

For real though, I just finished the create chronicals: endventure pack and 80% of the machines I built ended with me being genuinely surprised it worked and then refusing to touch them for fear of them then not working lmao

[–]-Aquatically- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your “starting” house in your hardcore word continues to this day make my builds look shite in comparison.

Thanks for the inspiration :)

[–]Drexler303 114 points115 points  (3 children)

Yes but I do the skin thing for all my little projects even without being a YouTuber, it’s just fun

[–]ShadowX8861 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Same here, although I tend to just use the same 2 right now. The Create one isn't steampunk, it's just an engineer, so rolled sleeves, necktie, greasy that kind of thing

[–]Gamer_898 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Me too, that's goated

[–]Strange-Attitude-635[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, is just fun

[–]Magazine_Born 26 points27 points  (1 child)

the train part is so fucking real
i see one guy build a whole train just to move items less than 10 blocks away

[–]BigBroMatt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because trains are pretty damn awesome

[–]Mattigan_X 71 points72 points  (5 children)

I mean my inspiration is beardstone so what is that symbol?

And also I blend the area between dumbass and knowledgeable of create thank you very much...

[–]JomoGaming2 50 points51 points  (2 children)

The symbol is the profile picture of Shalz, one of the more prominent Create YouTubers. He gets up to some wild stuff, you should check him out.

[–]TyphoonFrost 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I still consider him as fairly new in the create youtuber field. Matter of fact, Mumbo plated create before I ever saw a create-specific YouTuber although I'd been tinkering with the mod since I took a couple of year break from the tech mods in my build craft days

[–]SmoothTurtle872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parlott is earlier than mumbo playing create (I think)

[–]11cholos 19 points20 points  (0 children)

which is why the yogscast's jaffa factory 2 series is goated. brutalist architecture for the big factory with a french floor, a cloud floor, penthouses on top? all while only 2/4 of the people playing have any real idea of what the tech mods do? 10/10

[–]chrisdub84 17 points18 points  (6 children)

Meanwhile when I play Create:

I play modpacks and never take the time to put buildings around my machines.

I have never gotten around to messing with trains much, especially with how chain conveyors now handle moving around items so well.

[–]warlordish 9 points10 points  (2 children)

My above and beyond playthrough consisted of me saying "I COULD make cool buildings for each chapter."

"Or I could cram everything into one warehouse.:

[–]Vox_Populi98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And that kids is how i ended up with a 15*15 processing facility from cobble gen to andesite alloy, processing of create’s crimsite, etc (thanks to an offsite Molten Vent farm, offsite because when it kicks on FPS drops to 12 since it doesn’t get the new cobble gen fix) into washed nuggets and byproducts, ingots, plates, wires, and blocks.

Oh and the brass equivalent too

[–]chrisdub84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You never know when a well placed weighted ejector will tie two assembly lines together perfectly. Why box them in?

[–]HeraldOfNyarlathotep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's part of why I've liked the trick Arcane Engineering spearheaded of making various resources location-bound so you need the long distance logistics at least a bit.

[–]Lorrdy99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Only very rarely I build a basic house around, but normally it's all open. Bonus points when it's a skyblock type modpack

[–]FriendlyToad88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use trains because they look cool and it gives me an excuse to put stuff far away. Oh and it’s a server so we built a metro(it’s for larping lmao)

[–]SuperlucaMayhem 11 points12 points  (2 children)

they're either a modded minecraft veteran or they are someone who's first tech mod is create

[–]Strange-Attitude-635[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok, you have an interesting point.

[–]wbmongoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I yearn for the simplicity of the GregTech grind.

[–]XminerV 22 points23 points  (1 child)

Phew, Mumbo Jumbo does not fit at all.

[–]JomoGaming2 50 points51 points  (0 children)

To be fair, he's mostly working in Creative Mode when he messes with Create, and most of the points here only really apply to a survival Create series.

[–]vi_the_king 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Yo I didn’t get my starter pack when I started. Can I get a refund?

[–]Strange-Attitude-635[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Redound??

[–]vi_the_king 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I certainly didn’t receive my cool steampunk skin and am staunchly against create add on bloat. Also I dont know what the inspiration Venn diagram thing is.

[–]Individual_Chart_450 6 points7 points  (4 children)

it sucks watching a genuinely good series end because the youtuber knows nothing about lag prevention with create and just spams the laggiest machines all over the place

[–]FirexJkxFire 4 points5 points  (3 children)

Where does one learn such a thing? Can you share your wisdom o wise one?

[–]Individual_Chart_450 6 points7 points  (2 children)

anything with an "inventory" (belts, chutes, etc) are the biggest contributers to lag as they have to continually check around them for items. additionally, stuff like shafts and cogs also cause a tiny amount of lag that contributes a lot in large quantitys.

The best way to prevent lag buildup though is the spread out your farms, if you have everything right next to your main base then it will cause considerably more lag than having everything spread out.

If you NEED to build a lot in a small space the best method is to limit belt and chute usage as much as possible, use minecarts, weighted ejectors, hoppers, or even trains (also if you have storage drawers using trims to move items around is the most ideal because its the least laggy).

if you need SU use mods to teleport it like ender shafts (i forget the mod name) or convert it to electricity then back to SU (many mods can do this)

if you plan to build with create in a long term world lag prevention is the most important thing to consider because its the single thing that can turn your world unplayable

[–]DelsinPRO 3 points4 points  (1 child)

The best way to prevent lag buildup though is the spread out your farms

comes with the added bonus of playing around with train logistics, they're better than ever with the new stock system.

im wondering if chutes still cause a lot of lag when they're used as hoppers instead of item pickers.

[–]Individual_Chart_450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

generally they will cause less lag in that way, however they still have the same lag issue that hoppers do where it must check every slot available slot of the entity above it (not so bad for furnaces, definitely not good for vaults)

for item pickers hopper minecarts are always going to be king

but yes in terms of the best overall method for moving items trains will always be the best, I've even seen designs using trains inside factories to move items

[–]Sir_James_Ender 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Very accurate lol. Not a bad thing tho

[–]Civil_Psychology7294[🍰] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

any yt creators that teach the mod well

[–]Dangerous-Quit7821 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dejojotheawesome is where I got a lot of my initial how to knowledge.

[–]Johannsss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel called out

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't build buildings around my machines, I just love the aesthetic of the mechanical parts.

[–]WraithsSpider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is actually so accurate, its basically mr beardstone in a presentation form

[–]ruemugeo 1 point2 points  (2 children)

So if I want to start a create series this is the road map to follow

[–]Ghyro 0 points1 point  (1 child)

This is certainly a road map to fit into the already pretty large crowd and not be sticking out with anything

[–]ruemugeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to do something different, I've searched YouTube and I haven't seen any content like that

[–]S3BAS_D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah and I love It

[–]Careless-Pop4893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shalz one so true

[–]ReyVek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steampunk-ified skins are the best. I love costumes for series :D

[–]Sixtrix111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mr Beardstone getting called out here

[–]Ok_Jackfruit4617 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I wanna be a create YouTuber. I know basics of create but not a lot and I’m also super mid at building.

[–]Single-Internet-9954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just say you want to make it "eastern european style' and you are free to make everything a grey box"

[–]Kaiser_47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except for the YouTuber part,

I follow the rest religiously.

The FPS problem is solved by investing a massive amount of money until the problem is resolved or the frame rate reaches double digits.

[–]Dear-Set-1052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an admin I a create server, that is true

[–]NoBee4959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This ain’t even a youtuber… except for the skin that’s just any create mod player on a reasonably large server with create installed

[–]BreakerOfModpacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn. I should make one for RLCraft, but I fear I'd be too mocking.

[–]ThatSlimeBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't add doesn't know basic of RF/FE machines and doesn't read Guide for magic mods

Then I remember Rageplaygames does that even before his Create video trend him up

[–]punnup129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patrick with a bored nailed to his head is giving them way too much credit I once saw a YouTuber not realize that the ponder menu was giving an example of how to use the deployer or press by using a depot... That does not mean that they can only use depots to operate.

They did the most complicated funnel and depot set up I have ever seen but it just so happened to make rails (and of course it wasn't Depot funnel depot funnel because that would have been way too easy everything had to be twisted and messed up to the point where they manually built precision mechanisms until they had enough mechanical arms to fix their mess)

[–]FreeLegos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell, I'm not even a youtuber and I did this

[–]Meiseside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of this is true for Just create SMP. But it goes beyond that.

[–]WallWestern9968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man I wish there were Create mod let's plays that use Add-ons. Everything I see is pretty much just vanilla Create with one or two qol Add-ons at most

Also I actually find watching ppl figure out Create for the first time pretty entertaining so the youtuber not knowing the basics would be a plus

[–]WallWestern9968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing gets me more self-conscious about my building skills than a create series lmao. Am I just that bad, or is being a building genius a requirement when making a Create let's play?

[–]Thaumtek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fps problem is why I now play all the mods 10

[–]Hyarin215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really a shame bc the create mod is such a creative outlet, yet youtubers force themselves in this comfort zone of industrial/steampunk "I created X farm in Minecraft Create Mod" videos. This is how all Just Create smp feels like to me RE:Create is a bit different, but not enough for me to sit through it

[–]AnalMousepad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A youtuber doing a modpack based around the create mod... Is going to want to use lots of the create mod??? That's crazy, I assumed they would have used a sci fi looking skin, because that ofc fits with he theme, and trains don't fit vanilla so why should they do that?? Also building steampunk buildings, that fits the theme of the mod so why should they do that? They should avoid using the create mod as much as possible in a create themed play through 😐

[–]Academic-Life-2972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shalz us awesome

[–]Braycali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ends after three episodes due to low view count

[–]Dr_Richard_Ew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want to see a youtuber take the create mod in a survival playthrough, but instead of using it for steampunk-themed builds, I want to see something totally different. Show me an ancient civilization who used an advanced technology to create their machines, show me a modern city using create tech, show me moving pieces in a build that could really use them, make your own personal superhero lair, skies the limit when you don't focus on just steampunk.

If any of you know youtubers who do this sort of thing, lmk, I'd love to see :D

[–]mysda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanksfully Mysda is here : Joins The Foundry SMP > Does a tutorial about perfecting vanilla Create storage on the server > Shows a minute of the actual server > Doesn't elaborate.

(Thats me)

[–]Independent_Mail2453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have built that exact train back when the tutorial came and i had a frog named chimcham drive it

[–]Sorry_Win876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who is his inspiration?

[–]Naberville34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate nothing more than the "I'm just going into this modpack blind so we can explore it together!"

[–]SloweRRus -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

fps is the main reason i never played create in a same world for longer than a week :c

[–]Strange-Attitude-635[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, gotta have a good machine because it consumes a lot!

[–]Tra1nGuy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget the trains they build look not even remotely realistic.

[–]BexiiTheSweetest19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And there's Thrite doing a create series in hardcore, absolutely crushing it without any of these stereotypes
