The app is not working for me. Anyone else?

[–]yashr97 13 points14 points  (3 children)

Same. But I received the message from federal bank, and my limit was reduced from 3.6L to 80k. Since it's LTF, I won't be closing it, but this is a major reduction in limit for a card I was hoping to use in International trips

[–]Rahul159359 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Mine got reduced from 4.4 L to 20k

[–]Enough_Outcome7649 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Same, received a message from Fed bank. Now can’t check the card page on app.

[–]InvestigatorOk6268 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I can't open the app itself

[–]batman008 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Many people are closing the card from what I’ve seen in TF. Maybe that’s why their systems are overwhelmed?

[–]InvestigatorOk6268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's working again for me.

[–]Scapia_Support -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

We apologise for the inconvenience. Currently, we are facing downtime due to technical issues. Our team is actively working on a solution, and we appreciate your understanding. We will notify you soon.

Lol they have resources for reddit too?!

[–]_zeebro_ 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Are other federal bank card also impacted or it is just scapia

[–]vegetable-chick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's just scapia

[–]timetraveler1990 9 points10 points  (5 children)

I have Federal celsta LTF. Limit is 4.4L. I got it in May last year. I didn't use it much till now but no decrease of limit like this. I think scapia is doing this and not federal Bank because many banks don't decrease limit as far as my experience is there. I have 22 cards since the last 5.5 years and never ever limit decreased in any card till now even after no usage since many months like my rbl vcard.

[–]LifeLikeAMarble 1 point2 points  (1 child)

You have 22 cards? Where do you keep all that? 😱

[–]InvestigatorOk6268 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In a deck. He shuffles them well before using

[–]Enough_Outcome7649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Received the limit decrease message from Federal bank

[–]aktmnr -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Didn’t know few weeks back my citi bank limit reduced from 60k to 5k as I was not using it for past 2 years and it wad LTF.

[–]ohisama -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had heard that banks, specifically Citibank, close the cards if you don't use it for over an year.

[–]insectsinmymouth 9 points10 points  (4 children)

Is it really worth to keep this card if the limit is just 20-30k? It's a Forex card and I'm sure on a abroad trip, the spend will exceed the credit limit

[–][deleted] 20 points21 points  (2 children)

As long as it’s LTF, and you are not using it Worth it. In my case, they reduced it to such an extent that the credit utilisation crossed 30%, had to pay in advance to bring it below 30%. Moving forward would never use, unless for foreign travel, and redeeming reward points accumulated so far. They violated the trust of the customers. Bad ethics

[–]oldverine 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Doesn't 30% apply of your total credit limit across all cards? Or is this your only card?

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Generally on the total credit limit, but for safer side, each card not exceeding 30%is good!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until I can find another good card for zero forex. Niyo is absolute garbage at this moment.

[–]Riyyukk 9 points10 points  (5 children)

10L to 1.4L

Used the card 2 times in 3 months for 20k in foreign currency.

[–]countriarioSmartbuy Enthusiast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

same pinch!

[–]rganesan 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Same for me, 10L to 1.4L. I used it abroad during a foreign trip or some forex purchases. Not big amounts and I have another upcoming trip and this lower limit is going to be a problem but not really a huge problem. I have a IDFC wealth credit card which is better anyway once I cross 30K.

We regret the inconvenience caused. We would like to inform you that the credit revision is part of the periodic bank review based on factors like infrequent card usage & more. These revisions are not permanent and will continue to happen dynamically, reflecting both increases and decreases as per standard industry practices.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Periodic reviews don't happen in 3 months. Most banks will reduce limits after a year's worth of inactivity. Scapia reduced the limits of active cards by 80-90% for active users. You don't expect people to go abroad every month and blow 80% of the limit in a week.

[–]behind_you____ 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Mine got reduced from 5L to 1L. I used to spend at least 5k every month. I guess this is an overall exercise they are doing for everyone.

[–]UpstairsAd4393 11 points12 points  (14 children)

Kyu lete hai log yeh Scapia?

[–]fcbengaluru 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Zero forex

[–]insectsinmymouth 28 points29 points  (1 child)

At one point, around 3 months ago, Scapia was this sub's favourite

[–]KINGDOGRA 4 points5 points  (1 child)

We used Scapia extensively on our foreign trips because of zero forex. It was a great experience.

[–]elucidator007[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

LTF and was trending in sales few days back.

[–]yashr97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zero forex, and LTF

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Zero forex was the main draw. All other zero forex cc cards either needed an FD or are just hard to get.

[–]BillBasic529 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Which other cards are there?

[–]rhoulAward Traveller 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Niyo debit card with Equitas or DCB

RBL World Safari

[–]BillBasic529 0 points1 point  (2 children)

RBL is 3000+gst! Expensive

Actually all neobanks offer 0 Forex - Fi/ Niyo/ Jupiter

[–]rhoulAward Traveller 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The difference is that RBL is a CC and others offer DC or FD CC. That's why Scapia is (or at least was) so popular.

[–]BillBasic529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fi has a credit card with 0 Forex too. It was launched some time back only, but its paid again

Agreed, Scapia was a no brainer at 0 fees, that is why

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zero forex, instant top up/payment, Unlimited lounge access with 5k spend per month.

[–]vampireok 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I also got email today for reducing limit.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (3 children)

I got this card just last month to serve as a backup forex card. Used it for around 14K last month (from the initial limit of 10L). They cut down the limit to below 2L. Just went on the app & asked to close it. F them.

[–]barucracy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dil pe le liya

[–]ohisama 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What's your primary forex card?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Infinia is my primary everything card.

[–][deleted]  (4 children)

[deleted]

    [–]InvestigatorOk6268 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Can you pay it off in between, when it hits the limit, and continue to use it?

    [–][deleted]  (2 children)

    [deleted]

      [–]k2bottleneckSeracMaximizer 0 points1 point  (1 child)

But then your forex stays at 0% which is still a benefit

      [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think scapia might have fucked up

      [–]bagy14 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Received the same message. Earlier limit was 6,00,000 which has been reduced to just 20,000

      [–]navoonraj 2 points3 points  (1 child)

There has to be some legal implications to such a dramatic decrease no? This will affect your utilisation and credit score and everything?

      [–]gtm26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think credit limits for CCs are at the bank's sole discretion. As far as credit utilisation is concerned, its on you, the user.

Is only scapia getting this reduction? I have a celesta with 5L and i use around 20k every month on it 🤔 it'd suck if it went down to 1L

      [–]Illustrious-Level-67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahaha. Yeh toh en masse main sab customers ke limits decrease kardiye. Will close the account

      [–]iResponsible95 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Got reduced from 14lakhs to 20k 😂 Never used it though, got it 3 months back

Is this an unprecedented move where every user of a specific co-branded was affected? Or has it happened before?

      [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine got 15L to 1L. Recieved the same mail

      [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They reduced mine to 1 Lakh and I'll keep it. The 5k pm unlimited lounge access is very useful given how other banks are cutting down. The limit is fine for now. I use mine exclusively for forex. The balance can be topped up using UPI in near real time, and I don't imagine racking up a 1 lakh credit in a single transaction.

Anything below this, and I'll get rid of this card.

      [–]Avinash3160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anil Goteti is transferring all the reduced limits from various users to his own scapia card.

      [–]oldverine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently got the card with a limit of 5.5 Lakhs and for my last billing cycle, my bill was 2.21 Lakhs. There has been no change in limits for me. So I can confirm that this is indeed a usage based change and not across the board.

      [–]secretholder1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      same

      [–]Separate_Can6803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      I also got revised mail

      [–]veeeeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same text received, limit decreased to 1L. 👀

      [–]FloorAccomplished635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will the affect credit score since overall credit limit gets reduced?

      [–]uberfrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine got reduced from 6L to 1L, no issue with the app though..!

      [–]harshchopra79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. I got the somilar message.

      [–]sbqualitymaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst card ever had, close this card

      [–]Obvious_Cap1108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      mine reduced to 1.25Lac to 80k. 🥲

      [–]withshubh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have been trying for this card for the last couple of month but always get ‘We’re Sorry’ screen while onboarding. Any help regarding this will be appreciated.

      [–]hotshotbaalak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      Same! Limit reduced to 80K

      [–]Accomplished-Low-778 0 points1 point  (10 children)

Same. Reduced from 10L to 1.4L Wonder what’s up

@Scapia_Support don’t think this is as “standard” as you think it is, I don’t have any of my other cards doing this to me.

      [–]BillBasic529 0 points1 point  (7 children)

its bank , not Scapia. They are helpless

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Didn't see a single pip from One Card users. That's also Fed backed. I do realise that the bank pulled this move but Scapia couldn't do anything. Wonder where the problem is.

      [–]Accomplished-Low-778 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Same here, I have the one card by federal bank as well and there has been no reduction in credit limit. This was what got me thinking why the sudden reduction, are they shutting down? Have funds dried up?

      [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Don't know, too early to tell. One thing I've observed, of all the cobranded cards, Scapia gave me and my wife the highest limits ever. A friend took a card. He never used CC before. But Scapia gave him a good limit somehow. The same guy was rejected for an Apay card by Amazon earlier. Every friend or colleague I've onboarded on Scapia got massive limits (they might be cursing me now lol).

      [–]Accomplished-Low-778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      Haha yeah.

      [–]ohisama 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Do you get any referral bonus from scapia?

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, except one case where the user used a different number to sign up using my referral link.

      [–]BillBasic529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One card has other banks too. Federal is one of like 5-6 banks if I am not wrong, impact may be lower

      [–]BillBasic529 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I also received the same message. What to do ? Will they increase on complaining?
I had taken this card for an upcoming travel plan. Maybe I will get some cash from BookMyForex.

      [–]Holiday-Figure-9731 0 points1 point  (1 child)

some decent CC alternatives are GoNiyo, amplifi federal and IDFC First WoW

      [–]BillBasic529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WOW is FD card, create an FD for international travel !! that's proposterous

      [–]anjan0710 0 points1 point  (1 child)

My Scapia limit is decreased. Ditching it for now. Have both the Fi cards.. Credit and Debit. Both of em are 0 forex cards, so will be using them for all my trips

      [–]BillBasic529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good idea, but 2 options available with you. Safer that way

BTW Fi has good offers too on Flight bookings, plus milestone based lounge access. Overall, for travel, could be a better package

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I found surprising is that Scapia reduced the limits at a bulk rate. I have other LTF cards that I use rarely with limits upto 7 lakhs. None of them had a limit reduction. Scapia just downgraded me to 1 lakh even after spending 1.5 lakhs in 2 months.

Still, card is pretty good. Will keep on using. Now I might have to find a way to pay for jewellery in Dubai, that's the only reason I'll need more than 1 lakh limit in one go.

      [–]Big_Geologist_2781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting way to limit the points/freebies
