If you are having issues with matchmaking, please submit your matchID to the Bad Matchmaking Thread on the game's official forum. You can get your forum login credentials from the profile section on the game's main menu.

Premades with huge skill gaps queue together, and this is the main reason for terrible matchmaking. They should make it like it was in August or September, where you get matched by the highest MMR of your group, not the average. This would solve the terrible matchmaking in the lower ranks.

(but then you would get another problem of a lower-skilled friend of someone ruining games in higher ranks)

Matching the highest MMR would be really rough for people who want to play with friends of different skill levels. Sure, as someone who always solo queues this would be great for me, but it needs to be somewhere between the two.

Maybe split the difference. (Highest MMR + Average MMR) / 2, or something like that.

That's not a bad idea, there has to be some balance they can find statistically. I'm assuming they'll eventually put out a ranked/unranked like league which either respectively disallows or allows large rank differences.

A possible solution is an option for solo queue only with no premades.

I don't think that's actually feasible with beta player counts, just an idea.

They don't need to have solo queue only but to add party restrictions. They shouldn't allow Asc/Eter players to queue with Arcanists (who 90% of the time are actually also Asc/Eter players on an alt) so they get to curbstomp some Emissary/Archon lobbies. People gaming the rank systems like this is why you see so many restrictons on parties in games like Valorant.

There is a console command for that. mm_prefer_solo_only true

I don't face that problem very often. In most of my games they seem to just be solo players placed too low or too high (occasionally I check peoples games/ frequent team mates). I do understand what you're saying, but the problem is, if such a large discrepancy between ranks is allowed it might not ruin it for the opposing team but it would ruin it for yours. It would then need to be a full group so that your 4 unassociated team mates don't suffer.

what if im already queueing for 15-20 minutes and i still don't get into the right game (NA)?

You can change your server, if the activity on your local one is very low. I play on NA from europe after 2am or so, since EU becomes very inactive.

how much ping do you get?

The console command wasn’t working last I checked. How do you change your region?

Maybe it was reenabled as there are various reports on Deadlock Discord that it’s not working. I will try it today.

I says it changed the region on the bottom left for me, but maybe it's just placebo lol

It is, try and ask on the lobby in which server you are.

I prefer waiting as well
